Morning everyone Any news on Marilyn? Hope she is doing OK
Glad you had a good time whilst away Stephen
Mo are you getting better too?
Yvonne sorry to hear about your horse, but at least you will keep her and enjoy her company
Huia are you still recovering from your walk? You do really well and keep yourself busy
Enjoyed having the family all here, but ate far too much, why do we do that at BBQ's? Still an active day today, babysitting Sebastian, so should burn a few extra calories.
Have a good day everyone and hopefully the weather is becoming more springlike.

A Wee Chuckle for the day
Late one night a mugger wearing a ski mask jumped into the path of a well-dressed man and stuck a gun in his ribs......
"Give me your money," he demanded.
Indignant, the affluent man replied, "you can't do this – I 'm a Member of Parliament!"
"In that case," replied the mugger, "give me MY money."

Morning everyone, Oh Yvonne you must be very upset about Ami, hope she will enjoy her retirement, and remain painfree so that she can at least have the occasional trot round her field. Will you get another horse so that you can still ride? Marilyn I do hope you are starting to feel better now. Take care. Stephen glad you enjoyed your holiday, don't work too hard now you are back home. Huia, you are a very busy lady, hope you make time for a little relaxation. Linda are you still knitting for your grandchildren or for the hospital? I hope your husband is feeling better now. I had so many plans for working in the garden today but it is blowing a gale so nothing will get done. ~~~~~~~~~to all our friends, take care and stay safe. Jean xx :-) :-) :-)

Morning Folks,
Life is getting back to normal.......had all the family round for a meal yesterday, magic , needless to say they brought a list of jobs they need doing :-D :-D :-D :-D
Lady Stephen got a big surprise when she opened her Easter Cards and found some Polish cash , Hotel Reservations and finally Flight Tickets to Poland. She was overjoyed to say the least. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) Our family secret worked.
The snow in the Tatra Mountains was very deep but firm and with no wind it wasn't too cold so we managed to get some good walking done We didn't do any ski-ing as we wanted to stay high in the mountains. In the town of Zakopane the snow was piled up at the edge of the road to a depth of about 6ft in places. The buildings in Zakopane area are made in a particular style from wood and are fantastic.
The town square in Krakow is stunning. We visited the Jewish Ghetto area and Oscar Shindlers Factory also a trip to Auschwich Concentration Camps .All very fascinating.
Did a bit of Family Tree Searching for relations of a Polish Brother in Law. Sadly no positive results but I have made a couple of contacts who will now help my search and we will keep in touch by email.
Yvonne, That's sad about your horse. No doubt she will still be happy being cared for and loved by the family.
I'll catch up on the rest of the news later.
Marilyn......Get well soon. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Hi everyone
cooeee I'm back! Been trying to get on here since Wednesday, logged on to change my email addy on GR which failed so I had to contact the support team to sort it out which they did quite quickly
Stephen, Pleased you and Mrs Stephen had a nice time away
Jean, Ami is out in the field during the day now but she is still lame so I've decided to retire her, the vet said that she will not get better so she is on painkillers to keep her comfortable.

Morning all Still too cold here. Went to see Sebastian yesterday he has another cold, dribbles and coughing. But he has 2 more teeth and possibly more on the way. Joshua is still away near Bognor with his other grandparents and family. Hopefully it has been warmer down there. Thankfully it has been dry. We had snow flurries again yesterday but luckily it didn't settle.
Soooooo happy to read the anti-biotics are working for Marilyn. She might be home for the weekend.
Take care everyone
It really is lonely on here at the moment

Mayo - proud of its men! There are two kinds of Mayo men - those who are alive & those who are dead. Those who are dead sleep under the most expensive headstones & those who are alive seldom have time to sleep during the day. Mayo men are usually recognised by the wiry texture of their hair which is normally fair & curly, if they are not bald. They have a pair of almost lash-less bright blue eyes. They may be blue but they are rarely innocent. Mayo men are shrewd, progressive, industrious, crafty & full of guile. They are good at everything & particularly at making money. Mayo men can be separated from others by the way they stand outside pubs having a smoke with their right foot at right angles to their left foot. They call this ‘the considering pose’ & is unique to Mayo men. Away from the area, this pose will help you to recognise a Mayo man anywhere in the world. Mayo men like Guinness mainly drinking direct from bottles. They smoke a lot. Mayo men have a great belief in the law & have almost taken over the police force. A policeman, solicitor or a barrister, unless otherwise stated, is usually from Mayo or of Mayo ancestry. Mayo men hate liberalism in any form, red cards included. Mayo men are generally carefree with words because words are still relatively cheap but they hate big words or small words. They hate income tax, the cost of living & the cost of dying. Mayo men make great salesmen, splendid supermarket managers, magnificent school teachers, spectacular clergy & fairly honest politicians. Mayo politicians can claim their expenses as well as anyone else. From a national economic point of view, Mayo men can be considered Ireland's most indispensable citizens, if only they would not move elsewhere! Knock Airport in Co Mayo, operating since 1985, is the newest one in the whole country. They are very good & sympathetic bank managers. In fact, the best bank managers in the world are Mayo born. Quite unique. Mayo bank managers can be awkward sometimes but are effective fighters especially for the right to their big annual bonuses. 'Austerity' is a word they use often when discussing customer overdrafts. They are also excellent men managers, money managers, football managers & pretty good card players too. In short, Mayo men excel in everything they do & are spectacular in the field of commercial endeavour. When Mayo men die, they go straight to Heaven - no hanging about. St Peter’s ancestors came from just outside of Ballyhaunis & it is reported that Mayo men are in full control of the Celestial Civil Service. Don’t forget to show your Co Mayo ID when you arrive at the Pearly Gates to be assured of a friendly Irish céad míle fáilte. A free glass of Guinness for everyone who has attended a Riverdance concert, an exuberant, vibrant & vivid celebration of Irish dancing. Begorrah! A Mayo man’s general philosophy: ‘You can accomplish more with a kind word & a shillelagh than you can with just a kind word‘. There isn’t much else left to say. Oh yes - I should mention that Mayo ladies, who are not involved in politics, are all potential Miss Universe winners. And if you have to look on your Atlas to see where Mayo is - well, shame on you! The End. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PS. Aren’t you glad now you read this piece of nonsense?

Hello all
not so nice today, a bit chilly.
Yesterday we went to the Olympic park for a tour, wasn't as good as I thought it would be for the money, we went up the scaffold art tower, great view from the top but that was all, I know there's a lot of construction work going on where they are taking bits apart but I thought we would see more. After we went on the Skyline cable car across the Thames, that was good.
Hope our poorly Friendlies are feeling better

Hi Everyone Cold today, though yesterday was quite nice. The sun shone.
Still got the plumbers here. Working hard, but why is it one snag develops into little niggles they could do without. Main issue has been a badly laid floor, from original build. Needed levelling before flooring laid and yesterday the side panels for a cabinet are nearly an inch different on one side so had to go get a bigger piece this morning !!! Shame cos they are working really hard. Still gave them scones this morning............ keep them sweet eh?
Hoping Marilyn is getting treatment now and improving.
Best wishes to all.
Shelly you and I should chat at night. Are you on Easter break from school? I don't normally go to bed before midnight just can't sleep.
