Morning everyone. :-D
George it seems like you and Foggy have lots of laughs on your days out. I love the Spinnaker tower but wouldn't want to go up it. There is a great Chinese cafe at the foot of it though, I think its called The Water Margin, all you can eat for a tenner. OH and I are going to friends in Portsmouth for the new year so will have to go back there.
:-D :-D

I'm not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow :-( :-( It will take some effort.
Hope all the friendlies are well and have a good day.

Hi all
I am waiting for Dowton Abbey to come at 9
I have my box of tissues ready.
IT is often chilly by that spinmarket Tower., last time Sheila and I was there about May I think it was ? it was blowing like mad we took walk along the prom and then watched the ship going out, it had been in for a visit, the rails were packed with people waving it off. one sailor who was home on leave was sending signals to the ship as it left Portsmouth. .everyone was cheering as it sailed off.
I remember when my Boy friend Ken set sail on the Cunard Line(he was in the merchant navy.? this was about 1946 as the ship sailed off . the ships rails were full of people and the band played (Now is the Hour for us to say goodbye.") they were off to Duneden and people were crying.

Hi Foggy.glad you looked after our George, he is inclined to wonder.so needs watching.

I am surprised at why this notice has appeared under my butterfly..?not sure what to do about it ? I will have to think.

Mo will the lights be on when you go to Blackpool.? I have never been there I was going when I lived in Norfolk then I was ill, my friends went and stayed in a hotel next to a pub they didnt like it said the noise was terrible they hardly got any sleep. so it was a good job I didnt go.

Hi there everyone.
Thought I would just pop in and say hello, in case you thought I had vanished into thin air.
One more week and we will be in Blackpool, I am just hoping we don't get snow or rain, as I hate travelling in either.
Am I the only one having such a late holiday, what with Cath and Pat just having come home, and knowing that Marilyn will be jetting off somewhere warm before Christmas, I seem to have been waiting ages to get away even though it is only in this country.
I wish we were both brave enough to master a flight to the sunshine, or wealthy enough to go on a cruise, but hey I'm getting a break, so I must not complain to much.

Rita I can't see anything written under your butterfly love.

Going to get a cuppa tea before Big Brother starts.
Bye take care all. Love Mo xxx

George,

Spinnaker........this large sail on Yachts derives it's name from the original name of

Spinmaker......due to the motion it created on the boat ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

More useless information from Rob Roy McBarr :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Rita, it's got it on mine "update profile" but you wouldn't see that. on my screen for you it's just got send message.

Yes I walked round Edinburgh. I can't type :-S

I'm going to Scotland next June. I'll be away for my birthday! These holidays are very reasonable and well organised. I wouldn't go to Scotland November-March because I don't like snow.
I went to mass this morning and I've been in bed most of the day because I was very tired.
Yes Stephen I saw the sign for Loch Venue. There was quite a lot of mist but I thought that added to the atmosphere.
Going to bed now. Work tomorrow :-P

George I always go to Portsmouth the the day when my sister is here. we make a day of it going by train leave here at 9.30 and get back about 8 at
night, we have got to know the place well now.Southsea is a nice place to go for the day.

George I am not the sorts that has all the things in lines or order
. My husband use to go mad at me, when he would have a lay in because he had worked either during the night or had a call out.he would get up tom use the toilet (why are man so long in there ) while he was there I would quickly whip the sheets of the bed and remake with clean one. so I could put them into the washing machine. I opened the bed and rusttles the sheets so he would think they were as he got out, thinking I had fooled him ?, he always knew. he still got in and went to sleep. lol

One of my Great Granddaughters MEGAN. told me over the phone she is going to Wales with her school on Monday, I said "it is snowing there. "she said she knows. I asked her what she would be doing while there. her reply was" climbing the rocks and pony trecking and lots of other sporty things." fancy the school taking children this time of the year. still they must know what they are doing. she c an hardly wait.

Morning

What a lovely crisp day, sun makes all the difference when you wake in the morning. not sure I like having to put my lights on at 6 at night and pull the curtains, I feel all locked in.
My deak is always tidy. I drive my family mad, they say why do you do these things running around after your own tail.?

when I go to bed at night I and put my things on the back of a chair. my skirt is hung up on a hanger along with my jumper
.
I usually clean the tops of the unit and cooker if used.before I sit to watch TV
I do the washing and fold the things that need to be ironed and put the others folded things away in the drawers.
I dont know why I do this.? I always think if something happened to me during the night at least when they come in my place is tidy.
Yet I have not go a big posh place. just a small two bedroom flat

Last Christmas when one of my Doctors called in ( I had been in bed with flu and the doctors came in every few days.) . she went into the small kitchen to get me a glass of water. . and said, how nice I kept my kitchen.. she said hers is never as tidy. I said I have not used it for three days. and dont forget there is only me here.

I have been talking to my sister about next years holiday ( if I am still around ) I said I would like to go back to Devon or Somerset or Dorset,l so it looks like we will be heading that way.
here I am talking about next years holiday and Christmas has not come yet.

Morning everyone.

It's quite dark here, I've still got the light on, I can usually turn it off at about 7am.

Looks like the rain's easing off a bit now.

Cath, I don't know what happened to my grandparents old family bibles................ I wish they'd been passed down to me. I had lots of cousins older than me so I suppose I wasn't first in line for anything that was being handed down.

Pleased you enjoyed your holiday Pat, do you think you'd go to Scotland again?

Huia, it took Shelly ages to paint that on herself. :-D :-D

Edit: My desk would be a lot tidier if I used that filing system Dermot.

Morning friendlies,
grey and cloudy down here but still warm.
Pat welcome back :-D
Not much planned for today, a little housework, clean out the animals and then maybe pull up some weeds. OH is doing the roast today so I can get on with "other stuff". How kind of him, lol.
While on holiday my mother-in-law gave me 2 family bibles, I'm chuffed to bits, especially with the one from 1866. Will have to get stuck into it later.
Hope everyone on friendly has a nice relaxing day.
