Linda I am sorry about your Dad but he is in peace and not suffering that is the great thing. but the people he has left behind are the people who suffer.I know I have been there. I do hope your dear Mum will get into a nice nursing home.

Thank you Stephen, I have missed you all,. I dont want to go through all that again so many emails back and forward to GR but they sorted it out in the end.
I had a terrible weekend what with the GR subs and then my cousin phoned to tell me my Cousin (her brother ) had died he was 79 and lived just outside of Glasgow married a Scotch Lass they had five children I am not going to the funeral it is too far for me to go for a couple of days. Doris flew up there and saw him befor he died. He use to paint the Forth bridge.we had some lovely stories of him while doing that.

Then getting the telephone call from an indian asking me the make of my TV I was angry and he asked me was I frightened of him ? I said no just annoyed I keep getting these calls, he said tell me the make of your TV and I will not call you again. I hung up. I got a call the next day so I did what Pauline told me didnt hang up just lay the phone down for half and hour so he could not use his.
BT cannot do anything about it as most calls come from abroad.

I've had to turn our Central Heating OFF as it is so mild just now.

We've nearly finished putting the gardens to bed for the winter. Gave the lawns a final cut yesterday.Trimmed a few bushes and trees and generally tidied up. A wee bit more to do and then I'll call it a day. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Then I can start to give the buildings a good check over and make sure they will withstand another battering this winter......be prepared I say.

From one who has been where you are now I can fully understand your feelings. The next few months will be the hardest. Then always try and think of the good times with your Dad. Time does heal this wound.

No trouble getting onto GR this morning and got onto this thread first try, maybe they have sorted the problems now.

Breakfast,
Porridge or cereal.
Bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes.
Hot rolls or toast.
Tea or coffee.

The picture is off Dad at 8 mths old, just about 83 years ago.

Mum is OK, just hope we can get her settled in the next few days

My goodness its pouring with rain here, not nice but fairly warm .

I have been doing research today , so my table looks like an office out of control .LOL

My sister went off the Florida today ... how lucky is she !

I bought a new travel Iron and left it on the table .....Pete has just picked it up but dropped it :-S.......so he'll have to buy me a new one if it doesn't work .

Welcome home........missed you loads.

I am back on line. I had to go through alot of trouble getting back lots of email between them and me, then I had one that said I was taken off the GR site my account had been stopped.
They then sent another email saying they were sorry they had sent to wrong one. and I had to do it all manually again. so I wondered if they would call me a new member. anyway I have the receipt. three different departments.
so good afternoon friends. I have not read through the threads yet. but will and get back to you.

Aww Linda, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. It seems very quick but it's better than seeing him in pain for months on end. I hope your mother will be able to understand and cope with it. It's going to be hard for you all, my heart goes out to you. <3 <3 <3

Linda....I'm so sorry to hear of your dad passing......at least he is at peace now,he's suffered enough, I only hope your Mum can take it all in, as it was very quick !
So now you will be busy with arrangements ....not a nice thing to do just before Christmas.
