Cath.....You can never forget your parents, I think , My dad a had a lovely voice and blue twinkling eyes , He never ever raised his voice to me. When I see James Mason on the Telly I'm looking at my dad.
My Mum was tiny and had a caring nature. My lasting memory of her is sitting on here knee listening to Scottish Tales on the radio and also dancing with her at weddings.
When any of her 'Braw Lads' as she called us, were going away on duty she would hold us gently in her arms and say ' Come home, son'. No doubt she had her own thoughts about never seeing us again.
She was very much at peace with God when she died.
Yep ! You miss them when they've gone.

Linda still thinking of you and your family. The waiting for the inquest must be awful for you all but at least you will get the answers. Cherish all your memories of your Dad, I still miss my Dad terribly (after 16 years) but sometimes I see something that reminds me of his wicked sense of humour and makes me smile. I feel sad that he never got to meet any of his great grandchildren but the youngest has his sense of humour for sure.

Hi Rita,

No...LOL haven't had a drink for a while...LOL.
I am hobbling around with these sticks the hospital gave me, and I tried to carry the computer over to the coffee table so that I could slouch with my leg up on the couch.
Tripped and down went the computer, it looked ok, but just wouldn't power up, so the old boy took it to the computer repair shop for me.
It couldn't have been very serious because the bill only came to £65. seems to be working ok now :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

You have a good friend in Foggy. it is nice to have someone like that. makes all the difference in life .

The young man came and did my centre light this morning he put a new centre fixture in for me and went and brought a new bulb.

I then went shopping I cannot understand what is going on with Waitrose the shelves are nearly all empty. I asked the mangeress if they were closing down ? as it is a big store and had a lot done to it a few years ago.

My daughter sent me an email she had her flu injection done last week and she has been ill with the flu every since. she is diabetic so it makes her worse. I said it must be a dodgy injection. she was coming over on Sunday. still will be if she feel better.

OH has got kidney stones again, took him to hospital this morning for his first lot of treatment, he's got to go back in 2 weeks for another blasting.

Stephen sending healing thoughts and prayers to your friend hope things will go better for her.

Linda it is always one of the worse things when you have to wait for an inquest. you feel you need to get things moving and yet your on edge all the time wondering what will come out of it.?

Good Morning Foggy, hope you are keeping well? I didnt know George had trouble with his computer, ? I thought it was me having problems and no one else.look forward to hearing from him.

Cath when I lived in Norfolk I use to walk the beach and look for odd shaped stones. then I would take them home and wash them and treat them before I painted them. and varnished these were sold for the Life Boats in Caister as they were a private one. the Government shut the one done as two were near to each other yet the Caister life boat was always going out and had a good rescure record.
Jim Davidson did alot for them, even took the crew on to the London Paladium stage where they made tape towards the lifeboat fund.

One of my favourite charities.

I have an electrician coming this monring to check my ceiling light to see if it is shoterning out. so cannot go out and shop this morning.

Stevey...I will certainly say a prayer for your friend , its been bad news this week with two people that I know that has been diagnosed with cancer ....oh dear just before Christmas , not nice is it .

Your friend George should be back today as I have just collected his computer from the repair shop.

LindainBerkshire, very sad to read that your father has passed away, condolences to you and your family.

Thinking of your friends wife and sending some healing thoughts.
We now have to go through an inquest for Dad and his body is still with the coroner. It is possible he had contact with asbestos, so has to be investigated. So no confirmed date for the funeral yet.

Still it goes on.

Not often I ask for anything but can you spare a wee bit of time to say a prayer for the wife of a dear friend of mine. She is undergoing treatment for cancer. It's very aggressive and the poor lass is suffering greatly.

GR said they were sorry but they had a lot of problems with their end and although have sorted it some people will still have a problem it was down on their thread.

I am having problem with my computer again I dont seem to get anything right, I updated my Java and ended up losing all my icons at the top of the interent and had things like facebook Amazon Tube come up; my son said I must have clicked the box about them. and has told me what I must do. but I am leaving it till tomorrow when I should have more time to sort it.? on top of that the server is so slow. you could have a shower in the time it take for the page to come up on the monitor. so I am going to have to do a speed test to see what comes up from BT to my phone..
I think I will have a nervous breakdown at this rate. lol

I don't really want to leave Genes but it is getting beyond a joke lately. I would miss all of you for a start ;-)
Had a lovely afternoon with 3 of my grandchildren, we went beachcombing. Collected lots of smooth glass pieces and small shells.
The 2 little ones (3 and 4) fell asleep when we got home and Jodie and I washed the shells etc and put them in a pretty jar on the window sill. Going up my tree for a while. :-S
