Hello Mo OH's doctor suggested painkillers, paracetamol or ibuprofen (sp) if he needed them. The last time he had the stones he went private as he had insurance with his work but this time he went NHS. He got his appointment within a couple of months of being referred. Pretty quick really.
Stephen and Maddie... have you two been misbehaving :-D :-D ;-)

Good Evening Everyone,
Hope we are all well.
Yes I am sitting here in my surgical mask, Mo. I will not spread my germs. I just feel lousy, all my joints are aching. I will not be going back to work until Monday. So a full 3 days to get better.
So pleased dear Fogs is on the mend.
Hope everyone else is feeling better too.
I dunno about the Friendly Thread, it should be the Ailment Thread.
A-a-a-a-a-tishooooooooooooooo.

Oh thank goodness, I have managed to get on here at long last. I couldn't get past page one for ages and ages.
Roly seems a lot better today, thank the lord. Still no scan appointment though, so much for the doctor classing it as an emergency.
I hope Cath is feeling better today, even though she has had to go into work . Dont overdo it Cath, get the family to run round after you for a change, just sit and relax for a while.
Lets hope and pray that Stephen has had a better day today, with no bad news at all. Mind you, no one will be able to find him, as it looks like he has found a secret hiding place, and he's incognito , with his dark glasses on and everything( and I don't blame him either ) Hope it's been o.k for you Stephen.
Yvonne, did your husbands doctor reccommend (sp) his taking any painkillers, only ours told Roly to take some, but I am not sure if they help or not at times.
Maddie, I hope you have got your mask on typing on here, we dont want those horrid germs thanks, especially as I am just getting over the same thing as you. I can't believe how many people cough and sneeze all over the place without using a tissue/handkerchief. It's not surprising so many of us catch the germs is it.
Hi Pauline, Rita and Pat how are we all today. I know it's very dark and dismal outside, and it's making us all depressed, so we must put on a happy face and smile, even if it's only for a little while. Take care ladies.
Lets hope there is better news from George tonight, about Foggy.
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 For our Linda, <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 I will be thinking of you tomorrow, and hope everything goes as well as possible, under the circumstances.

Stephen that was so sad to hear about your friend, the trouble when you live on your own is no one will miss you for a few days.we have pull cords in the flat one in the hall one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom but people have still died because they have not been near a cord to call for help we now have a necklace with a button on to ask for help if needed . I dont wear mine as I sleep on my tummy and the alarm would go off all the time. Mo I had terrible gall stones when I lived in Norfolk they tried shattering them about four times it didnt work. then I had to go in hospital for an operation. but the gallstones are terrible painful when they start up.
Yonne it wasnt just the questions she was asking me there was a long quene and people can hear all you say. they take you into a little room when they want to ask you questions in private.this one didnt.

Mo, my OH has kidney stones, he had treatment about 3 years ago but they've come back so he is now having ultra sound which blasts the stones into little bits (hopefully)

Hi everybody, it's a bit damp and dark today.......... but it's mild.
I hope Foggy's going to be OK. A friend of mine had stents put in his arteries about 10 years ago and he's never looked back......... so it might just do the trick for Foggy as well.
I think he'll be well looked after by his lady friend though, George and Foggy are very lucky to have such good friends.
Linda, you must be getting a bit nervous about tomorrow, I'll be thinking about you.
Sorry to hear you've lost another friend Stephen.............. I think I might start to pretend that I don't know you. It's becoming a bit dangerous to be one of your friends.
Mo, you really have to get Roly to the doctor if he has any more trouble, don't take 'no' for and answer.
Any news from Shelly yet?

Just received a phone call......another dear friend has died :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(
His sister phoned with the news.
Dennis was last seen on Saturday when his Grandchildren paid their usual visit.
When he failed to turn up for lunch at his sisters today, alarm bells rung with her. He was found in his bed and had been dead a couple of days.
We had known the family for nearly forty years. He lived near Halifax. His wife and two sons died a few years ago.
Apart from that......everything else is fine :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P

Hello all, Oh my goodness poor Foggy, he is really going through the mill at the moment. Please give him our best wishes George, and tell him to leave those nurses alone, he doesn't need to set his pulse racing and cause more problems. I hope you are feeling better yourself George.
Still no news about Roly's scan, the poor devil has been in agony today, but he wont let me take him up to the hospital. He is insisting that he is going to darts tonight, huh you men can be so stubborn at times. (but we luv ya's all anyway.)
Thinking of you Linda, and praying for a dry day on friday.
I hope Cath starts to feel a bit more up tomorrow. MWAH (((((HUGS )))))))) for Cath.
Rita, whenever we had a new Pharmacist starting in our pharmacy, when I was at work, thye would question all customers that were on certain medications. There were times when I felt like screaming, the customers knew what they were taking, and the reasons for them, but it's just some Pharmacists way of checking for themselves that they would not be overdosing some patients. Very frustrating I know.
Going to do some dinner for my patient now..... so bye for now.

Evening everyone,
I managed to get a lift today to see the old boy, didn't look too good all wired up.
They have placed two stents ( I think thats what they called them ) to the right side, but there is also blockage on the left side, but they wont be doing that until a couple of week time. He can come home tomorrow so long as there is someone there all the time, so the Sloane ranger is going to stay with him, she's a good girl, and I know she thinks the world of him.
Hope everyone is ok and hope to look back in later.
