Its just turned 9am and I'm just thinking about you all back home.


I'm trying to keep up with any news back home, I was shocked at the horrific accident
on the M5 , my son had travel 'd up on that very same motorway two hours before to go to a wedding in Cheshire ....Oh dear what a thought !!

I hope all your ailments are easing a bit ....what you all could with is the SUN ;-)

So I might just share it with you all and whoosh it back to UK.

I have been shopping and bought some boots yes BOOTS !! they were going cheap. ;-)

Yvonne I will have to get her a sedative next time, she cowers under the table, heart racing and shaking like a leaf and wont come out for love nor money :-(
Jean I sincerely hope those responsible are caught and dealt with properly. The poor horses must have been terrified. Just what kind of yobs are they, it beggars belief. :-( :-(

I spent yesterday afternoon wrapping grandchildrens christmas presents. I am determined to wrap as I go this year instead of spending a whole day at the task. Off to buy for my children today, they all want vouchers so thats easy enough, dont have a clue what to buy for Mum though and she won't give me a definitive answer, ah well she may just get another pair of slippers, lol.

Morning all
Not too bad here this morning . Hoping to get back up to hospital to see Mum later. She was quite well on Saturday but no report for yesterday.
We went to a farm shop and bought some meat, cheese and eggs. Then to friends for dinner in the evening,
Slept for a few hours last night, but went up late and woke early, while it was still dark.
Managed to clear a bit of the garden to fill a recycling bag yesterday, due to be picked up this morning.

Jean so sorry about your neighbours horses, I hope the ones who caused it are found and punished for their cruelty.

Jean I am so sorry to hear about the horses and the fire how can someone do such a stupid thing? .I feel sometimes these people have no idea at what they do, they think it is funny.

So many people get hurt so many animals as well all because people dont use these firewoork safely.

I hope they get the person or people who did this..

Hi again, hope you have all had a good day and didn't get disturbed too much last night by fireworks. If you have pets I do hope they were not too frightened.
Stephen, my horses were ok thanks, I put them in before it went dark and went back to them at 6 and stayed with them, they were a little bit jumpy but soon settled, I had a radio on so the noise was drowned out a bit.
A friend of mine who has stables close to mine wasn't so lucky, some idiot threw lit fireworks at the bales of hay near her stable doors and the place was in flames within minutes, we managed to get 3 of her horses out and her mare with a week old foal, but she lost 2. Words can't describe my feelings about the lads who did it, well not words I can use on here.
Hope everyone is ok and anyone who has been poorly is now feeling better.

Most of the horses at the stable yard were ok last night, but a pub up the hill is having their fireworks tonight. My dog is fine with all the noise, doesn't bother her at all.
Cath you can get seditives (sp) for dogs and cats from the vet, mine were advertising it and I've seen adverts on the TV.

Afternoon all, lovely sunny bright day here but cold.

Linda, I was thinking of you on Friday but didn't get the chance to get anywhere near my lappy. I'm pleased to see your dad got a good send off, it's nice when lots of people turn up to pay their respects........ shows he was well liked.

The fireworks were going off until about 11.30 last night, it was a bit too much. I'm like you Rita, I don't know where people get the money from.......... they're so expensive.

Rita, my husband said that Lulu will go out of Strictly tonight, he goes by what's happening at the bookies!! I have to say that so far, he's told me the right one every week.

I have been busy sorting some of the drawers out not the ones you wear the ones I keep odds and ends in. where does all the stuff come from ? I think I must keep this it might come in handy 3 or 4 years after its still there and I didnt need it after all so I throw it out.

I have another four drawers to go. I wonder what I put in there to save that will be thrown out.

Not a bad morning, just waiting for my lift to go over to the old boys for the day.

Morning everyone. it is chilly here but clear last year when we had a firework night I woke to find a mist outside this year there is none. but there were alot of fireworks going about. it always surprsied me as they cost the earth to buy. In Norfolk we always had groups of people. often the fireworks were run by one of the services you paid a small fee to go in and enjoyed the firework in safety and at a low cost..

I hope all those with animals had no upset ones with the noises.?

Stephen I am in a small ground floor flat my is an end flat so unlike most I have a bathroom with a window and a small side window as well as a big one in the frontroom. but I dont need the heating on just yet ?I wear a woollie cardigan.when sitting about otherwise I keep warm. but that is only because it is not that cold at the moment that will come.then I will be shivering unless the heating goes on.
but to keep warm in bed. I have found that to put a duvet on the botton of your bed to lay on and a duvet to cover yourself keeps you very warm, and you save money.

Rita, Wrap up well and stay warm. Unfortunately you need to heat the house and have fresh air circulating in it as well. And that costs money. :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| We try and make sure the air is changed a lot . None of us can stand being too warm and feeling shut in from the fresh air.

A lot of folk will be coming to terms with the aftermath of that M5 crash. How sad for all involved :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

Blowing a gale this morning and theres a definite chill in the air.
Last night was a nightmare for the dog, I had to stay up until all was quiet and I could take her out. I might ask the vet if there is a sedative she could have next time.
Have no plans as yet for today, might just tidy up my tree a bit, have a few more snippets to add and a few records to check.

have you noticed when the numbers come up at the top they are all the same 140 x 6 the same number. so something else has gone wrong.

I watched Strickly come dancing tonight I turned it to the chanel at 6.40 early so I thought but it had all ready started my TV times said it started at 6.55 so I missed one Jason Donvan,
I was really annoyed about that.
Then I watched Merlin. I thought good job I didnt record them,.

I can hear fireworks going off all over the place some are really big bangers.. so I will try and stay up fpr a while longer tonight.
