Well I went out with my friend Wendy today. This birthday is lasting all week. We went and had a nice meal, and more drink. My poor liver is taking a bashing this week. I will be tee-total for next week. I cannot keep up with the high life, I am SO out of practice.
Drinking a nice cup of tea now. See ya later. :-)

I got back home at 12.30 I had left here at 9.20 but I felt like a wet lettuce when I got home tired and shivering with the cold. so I had soup and two cup of tea. thats me for the day.

ok Rita, I know what you mean now. I missed the word Solar when I read through the first time.
I have solar lights in the flower beds, so I know exactly. They were very dull tonight, because we had no sun today. I may take them in soon, give them a wash and store them away til the Spring.
I have fairies in my garden too. They are Flower Fairies, about a foot tall, and they hide amongst the flowers. The kids used to love them when they were small. :-)

Maddie are you speaking about my solar stone? if so it is like the lights you have in a garden which light up and night.
Mine is a small square flint like stone that has a battery in which lights up at night like the Garden lights, that is the only way I can explain it. it is about 5 . 1/2 foot square and sits on the soil in the flower bed near the Hedghog.

Good Evening All.
Hope you are all well. Pleased about your Mum Linda. Hope she is settling in, it must be a bit strange, but with all her bits and bobs around her, she will make it her own.
I am confused about the stone, I will have to re-read it again. :-0
Jean, I cannot imagine how you must be feeling, I know they were not pets as such, but I remember how I felt when our last dog was poorly.
Right stage two of the spendathon. Got some shoes for work, so that doesn't count. And a top for Christmas. It is black lace [sounds far racier than it is] with a camisole attached. I can wear it with trousers, or over a dress, so it has a double purpose, and that justifies the money. lol
Jolly chilly here today. I was wrapped up for the Arctic.
Just call me Nanook. ;-)

Evening everyone Well went to see Mum and she seemed OK. She isn't leaving her room much but it is early days and she has had so many changes. A nice young lady showed us in and made us all a cup of tea which she brought to the room. Then another lady came to take Mum's photo for her Care plan and also to put on her room door. Later her Diabetic Nurse came to see her, she has looked after Mum for a couple of years and will continue to do that now. I took the photos and Mum does want to keep them and the handyman will hang them on the wall for her too. We had a nice chat and left her watching her own TV waiting for her beloved football tonight !!! After we went to the flat and picked up all the photos and Mum's button box(sweet tin).
So a productive day.
Hope you are all well and had a good day too.
Enjoy your evening
Linda X <3

George dont forget the orange sauce to go with the duck hope it all goes well. and be a good boy if it is your lady friend lol
I thought you were speaking of the brick Maryiln not the Hedgehog the hedgehog was a house warming present when I first moved here. then we had health and saftey around telling us what we could do and what we could not a no no to small carpets near your door even if they were safety ones. no no to small tables in your hallway with flowers on nothing in the hallway at all. because if there was a fire and people in the flats above felt their way down the one flight of stairs in thick smoke to find the front door they might hurt themself. the tables were in alcoves. my Hedgehog a stone based with a broom bristle top was one you stood outside to wipe you muddy feet on that was a no no so I brought it into the flat. then at the begining of the year I put him in the garden so he got fresh air. then my daughter brought a solar flint type small brick and placed it beside him. that is where he stays. we had to remove our garden chair from under the stairs incase of a fire our Estate Manager gave them to the man who removed the chairs. I went and took six off his van and stuck them in the garden in a corner and said they are for us old people to sit on in the garden and that is where they have stayed during the winter they come out during the summer. we can sit in the garden and have a chat.
