Evening All !
Rita .....I see you've been busy 'taking it easy' eh ! :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S I don't like cutting back the shrubs etc for winter. I know then it will be a long time before I see them flower again. I suppose my daffodils in spring help compensate. I have hundreds of daffs all around the property.
Maddie must be pickled in wine by now ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) A full week of Birthday Celebrations. Magic.
Jean......as they say in Scotland......Gang Warily.....(Go Carefully) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Linda.....keep up with the Gym....it will soon pay dividends....honest it will.
Where is Pat.....she must be locked up in one of her books :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
And to everyone else.....hope you are all having a grand night :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

afternoon everyone sun still out. is 'nt that great. sun all day today. I braved the fresh air and went and tidied up my little bit of front garden I ended up with a sack of old plants, they had been lovely while in flower but started to go brown so cut them down.. I will have to ask someone to take them away for me as it cost £10 to have the garden refuse removed.and I am not paying that for one sack. My hedgehog statues can now be admired by everyone..as they pass on the way to the laundry room. But I ached afterwards so sat and enjoyed a cup of coffee and a bun.I am alright now. it seems to have done me good.
I brought money cards as presents for my family this year. you place money into a slot in the card. I thought they might like that better than a present they may not need or want.it saves on parcel postage as well. there are 24 presants. and then I have five small present to buy for neighbours.( close friends) but I have about 60 cards I have to send off. very expensive time Christmas. I have one with a birthday on Christmas day and two just before Christmas and two just after.
My daughter in law has not seen her birthday wishes yet. she was on nights last night she is an intensive care nurse..
Love Rita. x

Afternoon all
Jean pleased things went well in court and those lads get what they deserve, they could have been facing a murder charge if they had got it right on bonfire night, doesn't bear thinking about. I know it will not bring much comfort to your nieghbour who lost horses too. Shows how much respect they had for people and animals to say 'they were only horses'
I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet but haven't got many to buy for so it wont take me long
So it's all round to Linda's for dinner tinight :-D

Can I come Linda, dinner sounds good.
Good morning all. Jean glad you have that bit behind you. What a nasty piece of work the 19 year old is. I hope that remark goes against him. Shouldn't smile but what a thick friend they have, so pleased he opened his mouth before engaging what brain he has. I hope the judge is right and the older two at least go down for a long time. Trouble is they will learn to be even more nasty in prison. Maybe the younger one who sounds as if he was led by the older two and who sounds as if he is not very bright, will learn his lesson if put away for a while. Rita I am sure if there is cause for concern, they will call you earlier. Don't worry about it because there is nothing that worrying can do. MTG I think you need to 'dry out' now :-D

Morning all Glad to see that things moved on for you Jean and my sentiments are as others on the board have already said. Hoping they all have a miserable Christmas. Just glad that you weren't personally involved. I haven't even started the Christmas gift shopping yet. Luckily we have dropped many of our gifts now so a much shorter list. My own gift should be arriving this afternoon, hubby is getting me a new laptop. I'll just need my son or daughter in law to come and set it up and transfer all my memory across. Just back from the gym, it really doesn't get any easier. No weight loss either. Oh well, at least I have a reason for feeling exhausted. Friends are coming to dinner tonight. Hubby is making Boeuf Bourgignon(sp). Calamari to start and apple pie after or fresh fruit for me.
Have a great day

Gooood Morning All.
Bright and sunny here, and I am off in a few moments to see my friend Rita.
Not our Rita, but my Rita, Rita. lol
We used to work together, but she has retired. She was in the catchment of being able to retire at 60. Am I bitter, not a bit of it. Lol.
More gossip, more drinkypoos. Gosh, I am awash with wine this week. No drinking for at least 2 weeks now.
Hope everyone is well and happy. See you later.

Morning all
Thank you for caring about me.it is a nice thought to know I have such good friends.
Jean I am so pleased that the 16 year old put his foot in it for them all. it worries me though that you were in the barn with the horse on the night of the fireworks. perhaps you could bring that up. maybe they will realise it could have been murder.they face. I hope they get a judge that is strick and gives them what they deserve. I hope they put them with people who love horses. perhaps they will get a few hard kicks.
The sun is out this morning, so I am going to spend half an hour in the garden getting the old plants cut down to the ground level.
I am off to have another cup of tea. before I start.
take care eveyone have a good day.

Morning All !
Jean....I'm glad you've got that out of the way. Here's hoping they 'enjoy' their stay in custody over Christmas and New Year and get sent down for a long time when they next appear in January.
Cath.....Happy shopping !!!!!!! Happy Babysitting !!!!!!! You'll need a Holiday after today ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Rita.....takes things easy and don't expect to be feeling up to par after your treatment. Being without sleep is terrible. It knocks everything out of kilter.
And to everyone else <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Morning friendlies, Jean I'm pleased that the 16 year old dropped them in it as that can only add to their sentences. Evil little monsters. Do please take care though as they certainly sound extremely nasty. I hope little Scarlett is alright, she must be missing her pony. <3 <3 Rita rest up and take it easy, try not to worry about the scan results. It is a long time to wait but I'm sure if there was anything untoward they will contact you sooner.
Hope everyone is well and has a good day :-D I'm going food shopping with mum so need reserves of patience and then 4 grandchildren to mind this afternoon so more patience required, lol.
(((((hugs))))) for all,
Cath xx

Hello friends, hope you are all ok and have had a good day. Rita, I do hope you are feeling better, please take care love. The court case went ok this morning, the 19 and 17 year olds have been kept in custody until the hearing on January 5th and the 16 year old was referred to Juvenile court next Wednesday. It was a lady magistrate, she was very strict with them, told them they can expect a harsh sentence. She asked them why they did it, the 16 year old dropped them right in it, he said because we did the wrong stable on bonfire night. They will now be chrged with that as well now. The 19 year old was very unpleasant, he shouted at me 'they were only f***ing horses' I wish I could have some time with him with a horse whip. I want to thank you all on this thread for your support and your kind thoughts since it happened, it has meant so much to me.
Hope you all have a peaceful night. Good night, God bless. Jean xx

I have been doing my chirstmas card list and written some cards out that have to send to America last date for posting to America she said 9th December so I have written the cards to go to Kentucky, Washington and Arlington.incase I forget, I have Italy and New Zealand not sure yet of the date for posting those.
Just made a rrangements for our parents grave to have the soil taken off and black and white marble stones to replace it with a Marble flower vase.. I dont get much chance togo to Willesden and weed the grave as much now and I think my sister will feel it is too much for her soon she will be 75 next month. so we are sharing the cost. it should look nice when it is done. The council are arranging it all.
I didnt feel like dinner today brought a little triffle when I went out this morning so I am going to do cheese on toast and triffle for afterwards .
The reason I will not get my scan results before that. is due to the hospital forgetting to send me an appointment for my last scan so I missed one out. and Proffesor Panda didnt like that there would be a 6 months between the next scan so he asked for thisy one to be done and I go to St Luke's on 3rd Jan for these unless I hear otherwise.
Have good evening see you tomorrow God Willing
Hope Jean got on alright .

Just popping in to say Hello to everyone.
Jean, I wish you well in the court case. No one should take the law into their own hands. Lets hope the sentence fits the crime.
Rita, take it easy today.
Everyone else, keep warm, and keep well. Its freezing here, and getting dark already.
Back later.

Afternoon all, it's been a bit nippy here today........... had to wear a coat this morning.
We've got the sun, Yvonne, but no heat in it, I think George nicked all of the heat.
Twice this week I've been for a 6 mile walk with my husband and now I've got a blister on my toe. My feet are only used to pushing pedals.
Rita, that's a long time to wait for your results, I wonder why they're making you wait so long.
Linda, have your tried sitting with your mam in the communal room where she can see other people and meet them? I did that with my mam and after a few weeks she was brave enough to go in on her own.
Jean, please be careful. I hope those lads don't get off lightly.

Morning all
I felt deflated yesterday after my scan.and lay awake most of the night wishing for the morning to come. why does it seem so much longer when you cannot sleep waiting for the morning ? yet when you go to sleep the morning comes too fast. I felt quiet ill after the scan. now i have a long wait for results. I will not know until 3rd January this time normally I know after 10 days. the four years I have been having these scan every three months and this is the longest distant apart for the results. still so long at it stays stable I wont care.
Jean my thoughts are with you for the court case. I expect they will give a date after the reading of the offence. you may have to wait a few weeks. or you may be lucky and get a quick hearing. depends how much evidence the police have. I hope they get the punishment they deserve. a harsh one
