what a time I have had trying this site. you will not beleive I click on to GR and got messages then it flicked onto home I click chat and got home again then I got stuck as the thread would not roll up or down.

I am having a real day of it today. I had my feet done and a nail had grown in, he was so careful cutting it but after he left it bled I had to put cotton wool and a sock on to soak the blood up. then my chin and lips started going numb they have been doing this for two weeks all this in one day
now I am having trouble on this site.

I think I will have to have a doctors appointment maybe he will examine my head as well. lol

Hello all, hope your day has been good to you.
Have been given the go ahead this afternoon by the insurance company to get the remains of the stables cleared, ready for rebuilding, think I will leave the rebuilding until the Spring when the weather improves, but have got someone to go look and give me a price for clearing.
I feel so sorry for the parents of the 16 year old, he is the oldest of 2 boys, both have learning difficulties.
I am still having problems getting onto this thread, keep getting the error message.

Ahhhh bless ya Maddie, I thought they were going to chain you to the shop counter.
I posted my cards to OZ and NZ this morning and bought some second class stamps as well. I nearly fainted when she said how much it all costed,£17.00, there were only six cards the rest was the price of the stamps.
Guess I wont be sending cards next year at this rate.

We have a bright, sunny day here, not too warm but we cant have everything.

Dermot my Dad use to sprinkle soot around the plants he wanted the slugs and snails to keep away from his tomato plants his marrow and flowers. he didnt put them on the roots just made little fairy rings around the plants..

I hope you are not having this thick fog where you are ? it is not too bad here in Surrey at the moment. much better than yesterday.
but furhter along the M25 I am told it is very thick in places so I hope people drive extra careful this monring

Linda like you i have a lot of washing to do this morning, but we have machines in the laundry room. so it is just a case of into the washer then into the dryer. when the weather is nice I hang the washing on the line outside.

I watched some of the news this morning at 7 , it is always full of fights stabbing and wars so depressing.

I will have to put my little christmas tree up early to cheer myself up. lol
it isnt very big. stands on a small coffee table. but it makes the room look bnright and christmasy.

off now for a cup of tea before I do the washing.

Plenty to do here but our daughter needs a hand with some painting,so what do we do? Well we employ somebody to paint our lounge and off to her to help there !!!
Cleared several boxes of old papers from my early childminding years yesterday.
Hopefully helped a distant relative with a brother of our grandmothers. He found a Military record which gave that this man was alive in 1920, but I have a memorial card where he died in 1919 and the burial plot in Hammersmith Cemetary. So his man is somebody else. Hope he isn't disappointed as he had been awarded a Military Cross.

Soot was good for cleaning teeth - or so my dad used to say!

Hi Mo Maddie and George.
we have firwworks going off now that should make it even worst tomorrow this fog it would have been called smog in my days due to the dust that came out of the chmneys through the coal and coke we burnt. we use to have to clean the chimneys my mother use to put an old sheet over the fire place and Dad use to push long handled brushes up the chimney the muck that came out of the chimney and down it needs to be seen to beleive.Mum use to go out side and shout to Dad I can see the brush meaning it had gone to the top of the pot. but even with the sheet over the fire palce we got soot everywhere. Dad collected the soot and took it out the back yard put it into old brown sacks.
thank goodness we dont have to do that this day and age. unless you have open fires but I think they use a vacume on that and not the brushes.

It did not clear until after mid-day. It was horrible.

I may not be on the thread on a regular basis for the next two weeks, got something I have to do. Being mysterious again.
