Afternoon all

Hope the day goes well Stephen, it's not easy is it?

My mum died in hospital in Saudi Arabia, Dad had gone home then got a phone call to come back cos she had taken a turn for the worse and she died shortly after. It took a month to get her back to UK with all the red tape.

It was sunny this morning now has clouded over.

Pat I'm jealous, all those holidays :-)

Afternoon all, I've been out walking this morning. Didn't want to go really because it was cold.......... but got talked into it. Well, bullied into it, my husband is trying to get me fit.

Hope it went off OK this morning Stephen...... a sad day for you and for Tom's family.

What makes it really sad is that it was so sudden that none of his family were with him at the end. Then all the hastle of trying to bring him home from Iraq.

Well. All I can say is that I am very disappointed.

I thought our Stephen was a gentleman, but no.

It stopped raining this morning at 10 so I went to do my shopping. first call the chemist to get my repeat perscription. before they give it too you . you get questioned. what other tablets do you take ? do you take them as they have been perscribed ? do you have blood test regually ? do you see the Doctor often ? the eyes drops how many do you use ? just these three ?then you get you perscxription you went in for.
I could screem.
Next stop was papershop/post office one person on desk should be three others queue 12 people waiting, two people were actually parceling there goods up in boxes they had brought from the post office and addressed them. I posted a calendar off to Chiswick it cost me three times as much as I paid for the calendar.
Next shop was Waitrose I was shocked at the way the prices had gone up since last week(. buy British) apples and other fruits they were 50 pence dearer than those from abroad. what a take on. no wonder people buy stuff from abroad and not from Britian. I was going to buy some Chicken Breasts till I saw the price of them so settled for lamb chops instead. I think the shops are going to keep putting their prices up till after Christmas then they will reduce them .to try and sell.
To add to all this I got home and it started to rain still I was home and dry by then.

Muesli for breakfast today.
Off to daughter's soon, top coat today. Then just finishing off to do and claer it up for her as she has to go back to work tomorrow.
Hubby has an appointment at the drs this morning as he has had a hacking cough for about a month and it seems here to stay. Luckily he hasn't given it to me.

Foggy, damp and drizzly here Rita. Didn't make the gym today, but feel enough energy expended in daughters flat and contortions to get into awkward places too.

all I can say is good morning everyone
It is raining heavy and a bit misty but it is not cold.
I suppose we must be thankful for that.?

What upsets me is there is Marilyn out there with all the sunshine and heat and she has not sent any home to her friends. I think we had better get a party up and fly out there and dump ourselves on her. what do you think ?

Jean I had cornflakes this morning for breakfast lovely with a little sugar and warm milk.

Are we to take it that the body is the 'celebrity' & not necessarily their talented personality - whatever that is?

Good evening everyone
Well almost all the undercoat done. That is daughter's hall so many doors and 2 were glass panelled with 15 pieces in each !!!
Back tomorrow to top coat. Hopefully will go as well as today. Bit achey so our daughter came here this evening for dinner and then gave me a deep massage as a thank you.

I must be lucky as I still manage to get on here most of the time OK. Sometimes takes a while to post.

I have just watched Military Wives The Choir on BBC2. It was amazing. The all came together to sing at The Royal Albert Hall for The Rememberance Service in front of the Queen. I have really enjoyed it.
