I hope that the high winds, and rain have not done to much damage wherever you may live.
Thank goodness I put the garden furniture away, and all the things that were moveable into the shed, it was really blowing a gale here last night.

Lets hope that Rita got to her sisters safetly, and that the tests she has to have tomorrow sort her out quickly.

Linda, it's pleasing to hear that mum is settling better now. Hows the sorting of her house going now. Did you manage to find someone to come and clear her furniture for you.?

Linda good to know that your mum is mixing with the other residents, sounds like she is settling in.
Pat, its very sad about Gary Speed, he was a great player and a real gentleman. I met him years ago when Everton played over here (youngest daughter is an Everton fan) and he was only too pleased to have his photo taken with young fans. His family must be devastated.

I have been clearing more of my house today. I will get it done.

Evening all
Well had a busy day. Tried to sort things from the flat but hubby wasn't keen on having much....... we have enough junk. True but very hard when so much will end up at the charity shop.
I did get a load more photos some old, though one album I would have liked to check through my sister insisted mum wants in her room? It is all of us as young children and goodness knows what else. Oh well patience I will just have to wait I have so many mor though.
I did get some knitting needles and work basket. I had a lot of cutlery too, need to see if the knives are sharp enough to keep.
I also have all the cross stitched cards and gifts done over many years. What to do with them?
A lovely barometer that was bought in North Wales and set in a heavy piece of slate. A good memory, and useful too.
After we took my middle sister to see Mum in the Home as she hadn't been. Mum seems well, she was in the lounge !!! Really good to see that though she was dozing before her lunch. I talked to two very nice ladies and they said they liked Mum. So she is begining to mix.
Been browsing the photos this afternoon.
Need to tidy the house a bit tomorrow, friends coming to dinner in the evening.

Stephen I will wish you a Happy Birthday for tomorrow.

Rita if you look in I hope your journey was OK and that your sister is not so bad too. Let us know and give her my regards.
