MY FOREVER FRIEND
Everybody needs a little help sometime No one stands alone Makes no difference if you're just a child like me Or a king upon a throne
For there are no exceptions We all stand in the line Everybody needs a friend Let me tell you of mine ------- He's my forever friend My leave-me-never friend From darkest night to rainbow's end He's my forever friend ------- Even when I turn away He cares for me His love no one can shake Even as I walk away He's by my side With every breath I take
And sometimes I forget Him My halo fails to shine Sometimes I'm not His friend But He is always mine ------- If you still don't know the one I'm talking of I think it's time you knew Long ago and far away upon a cross My friend died for you
So if you'd like to meet Him And don't know what to do Ask my friend into you heart And He'll be your friend too -------

I have sat watching a film this afternoon. I needed a rest. when I went onto my computer I had a lot of email waiting to be answered I have done that now. I had to laugh at my sister, we are always saying we are getting old and forgetful. today my sister went to church as it was a special mass Immaculate Conception day. and when she got there the church was locked and there were people standing outside. she said it was freezing so she knocked on the Pirest door and he said he had forgotten what the day was,? he hurried and opend the doors. I said even the Priest is getting forgetful;. it must be age.? He is a lovely man .
Stephen I think you had better tie everything down with the wind and snow heading your way. you seem to have started doing that. It is not too cold here at the moment I have not had my heating on today so far. But it will be on soon as I can now feel a nip in the air.

High Winds !!!!!!!
On the summit of Cairngorm near Aviemore at 3pm today
Temperature -2.9 C,
Mean Windspeed 111 mph,
Gust Windspeed 127 mph.
The high hills near my home must be gusting at over 100 mph.
I took a reading using my hand held anemometer , I use it on my yacht and it's fairly accurate.
83 MPH.....
even my bald head was ruffled. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Marilyn,
Welcome Home !
And a very big thank you for send your Hurricane up to Scotland. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
I'm having problems with the wind......my letter box keeps rattling good style. I think the retaining spring must be bust. Jim'll fix it......eventually :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P
Decided to do some admin work at home ,. although I did venture out to secure a few things. Had to shift two ornamental trees that are in pots, they had blown over. Tied my wheelie bins to the fence that hides them from view, and also a couple of other wee bits and bobs tthat might just be likely to move in this strong wind.
Have secured the dear Lady Stephen to a strong Telephone Pole, Can't risk having her blown away.
My friend on the Isle of Harris will be getting a hammering just now It's not unusual for them to get strong winds , 60 and 70 mph is fairly regular. But 90 to 100 mph is not so common. The waves will be up around the 50ft mark. :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-|
Time to treat myself to a bite to eat . :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

George,
What a scare for you.....and also Foggy :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0
I'm glad it worked out alright for him . I suppose he is aware of what action to take but it really must have scared you no end at the time.
I am sitting contemplating what to do today. The weather is to be a wee bit rough for a lot of Scotland.
Loads of folk must have been on the Haggis yesterday as we will be having problems with Wind today ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Hey Ho ! The World wont stop because of a bit of wind. So get the Gas Mask out of storage and get on with it. :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P
No problems getting on the Board after I ignore my normal route. Just do a Google for GR and get on that way. Seems that the GR Server can't cope once a load of folk want to use the system.
I WONDER WHAT WE ARE PAYING FOR... .IT'S CERTAINLY NOT THE SERVICE WE ARE CURRENTLY GETTING. :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S

And A Wee Chuckle for the day !
This is Life On the first day, God created the dog and said: 'Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years.'
The dog said: 'That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I'll give you back the other ten?'
So God agreed.
On the second day, God created the monkey and said: 'Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I'll give you a twenty-year life span.'
The monkey said: 'Monkey tricks for twenty years? That's a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the Dog did?'
And God agreed.
On the third day, God created the cow and said: 'You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer's family. For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years.'
The cow said: 'That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. How about twenty and I'll give back the other forty?'
And God agreed again.
On the fourth day, God created humans and said: 'Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. For this, I'll give you twenty years.'
But the human said: 'Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?'
'Okay,' said God, 'You asked for it.'
So that is why for our first twenty years we eat, sleep, play and enjoy ourselves. For the next forty years, we slave in the sun to support our family. For the next ten years, we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And for the last ten years, we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.
Life has now been explained to you.
