Hi everyone
Well it was damp here this morning but went to Winchester for the Farmers Market. Hubby got rabbit, pheasant and quail. We got a nice currant loaf. Then he saw some goat and got himself 2 barnsdale chops for tommorrow. From the fish man we got a dressed crab which we had for tea with salad. For lunch we had buffalo burgers. Tasty.
After we went to Stockbridge, not very far from George I guess. We had a short walk but it was raining sogave up and came back home in the warm and dry.
I have finished a cross stitch to do with Peter Rabbit for the new baby.
Pauline in case I forgot thank you for your card.

I am dog sitting the cocker spaniel tomorrow for 2 days as son has electricians in.................. never mind our painting eh?

The spa was lovely and the massage good and strong. My pedicure has made my feet look really nice, I feel ready for a holiday now. !!!LOL

Have a good evening. I has been raining heavily here this evening.

My daughter telephoned me this morning and told me she went to see the X factor last night at Wembley she won tickets for two. and as my son in law was not well enough to go she took her daughter. she told me there was around 10.000 to 12.000 people waiting in the quene. as my Granddaughter is on crutches they let them in. she said it was a real thrill. they had Matt Cardie and Fiona Lewis and Michael Bubla (not sure if I have spelt that right ) on the show my Granddaughter has not stopped speaking about
The final is on toight.

Hi Pauline.
I saw you were last on the Friendly thread. I think Alex and Holly will go. after last nights performance I thought it would be Jason instead of Holly. then I deceided it will be Holly as Jason is popular with people and he did well in the last dance we will see.?????

I have managed to get my 404 page deleted and what I did was go to the favourites list. click right on GR site and deleted that then went to Favourites and added GR t to my favourites list. I got the GR site first going through Friends Reunited.
I joined Freinds reunited in 2003 and listed my schools and works and roads I lived in and my 3rd Perivale Scouts group I have been intouch with firends in two roads. I am the only one on the schools now they seem to have died or not joined. it is strange to see my name on with no one else. The scouts I hear from regular they are scattered all around the world. and in Britian. .
many on the list I dont know as I left there in 1982 to move to Norfolk. but I get regular invites to go to.special events. and a card and long letter of what they have been upto during the year.

Thank you for your lovely Card Pauline I got it yesterday.

Morning all.

It's wet and dark here as well Stephen. Got the washer going but no chance of drying them outside.
I think you'd better get those jobs done as soon as you can because the storms are coming back on Tuesday according to the forecast.

Rita, strictly was very good last night wasn't it? I thought they all did well, my hubby said that Holly and Alex go out tonight.

Dermot, I really liked that... :-)

Edit: Forgot to say............... thank you for the card Rita. :-) :-)

I got some of my cards sent off on Thursday but don't know if any of them have been delivered yet.

Good Morning everyone. What a grey day it is. could not be any greyer if it had been painted that colour.
I can hear the army at their shooting range in the distance so the wind must be coming this way.?
I have three camps around me so I often hear the sound of the rifles going. on.
I have nothing planned for today.. I hope everyone had a good night last night not too cold .I had to open my bedroom window at 2 in the morning as I was getting hot.
Stephen it must be a worry to know what to do for the best when you get those high winds blowing. I bet the insurance companies dont like all these claims going on. ?
I love Scotland but not sure I would want to live there during the winter. the lastest I have been in Scotland was at New year when we went to mother in Law for a week.we did that every other year.

have a good day everyone.

Morning All !

A rather dark , dull, misearable morning here. Come back Jack Frost , all is forgiven :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

The temerature has gone well up and all the snow has virtually gone from my gardens. Still plenty on the local hills though.

What lessons have I learned from the big blow ?

!. I'll need to put additional strainers on my fences. Can't have them blowing down again.

2. I'll have to put a restraining strap across the front of my Wheelie Bin Store and stop them moving in high winds.

3. Get extra heavy Divers Lead Boots for my wife and I . That'll stop us getting blown over ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Heading off shortly to finish a job I started yesterday at my daughters house.

Hope all are well . If you're feeling a bit down......cheer up.... Santa will soon be here.

Have a good day ya all !

Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Good evening everyone.

Hope you are all well and warm.

Welcome back Marilyn. How is the cold suiting you?

Well I have been doing my civic duty for the last few weeks, so have got nothing done for Christmas. I dont know when I shall do my shopping either. We are really short staffed, and I am working extra hours from next week. So when I will get to the shops is in the lap of the gods.

Ah well, egg and chips for Christmas dinner it is then. lol

Keep well everyone.

What Love means to a 4 to 8 year old:-

Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it. Touching words from the mouth of babes.

A group of professionals posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does love mean?'

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think.

'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'

Rebecca- age 8

'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.
You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'

Billy - age 4

'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.'

Karl - age 5

'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.'

Chrissy - age 6

'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'

Terri - age 4

'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'

Danny - age 7

'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss'.

Emily - age 8

'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents & listen.'

Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate.'

Nikka - age 6 (We need a few million more Nikka's on this planet.)

'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it every day.'

Noelle - age 7

'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.'

Tommy - age 6

'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. &I wasn't scared anymore.'

Cindy - age 8

'My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'

Clare - age 6

'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'

Elaine-age 5

'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.'

Chris - age 7.

'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.'

Mary Ann - age 4.

'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.'

Lauren - age 4

'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (What an image!)

Karen - age 7

'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross..'

Mark - age 6.

'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.'

Jessica - age 8

And the final one:-

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbour was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard , climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbour, the little boy said, 'nothing, I just helped him cry'.

Morning every one it is nice here we have a frost but the sun has come out and it is a nice clear blue sky. so I hope it last for a while. ?
Yes I am not that far away from our George, it is a few stops on my local train I am not that far from Linda either.

I have to get some milk today I am drinking so much milk recently. but thought I might as well go and get it today while the weather is fine.

I hope you have all finished your Christmas shopping ? mine is complete thank goodness.
I bet the supermarkets will be busy this coming week. often people buy before Christmas and just leave their Turkey or whatever till the last

It is just unbeleiveable that Christmas is almost here where did last year go ? is it because I am old that it has gone so quickly. ?
I have aleady started putting appointment in my next years desk calendar. Hospital. Dentist and eye Clinic.

have a good day.
