Mo in Kent Report 16 Dec 2011 19:03

Good evening everyone.
Yippeee Roly is fine. The postrate is slightly enlarged, but not enough for them to worry about.
No stones at all anywhere. The surgeon thinks that the blood in the urine was caused by the anti-biotics he had for the kidney stones, and that he has passed the stones through his body himself naturally.
Thank goodness that worry is now over, I can now relax and hopefully enjoy christmas.
Thank you all for your support, it meant a lot to me.

I hope the wedding went well Linda, and that you had help with all the clearing up afterwards.

Oooh I am loving our father christmas avatar. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Isn't he great.

Evening all,

Funny old day today, very slight dusting of snow this morning which vanished by 10am, sun came out, lovely blue sky so, a nice day.

Yes got all her insurance details and took photos as well, it turns out she lives about a mile or so away in the next village.

Hope everyone has had a good day :-D :-D :-D :-D

George thats a nice ending to the old year. good job you saw her as many just drive off and not bother. it was funny when I was at my sisters a couple of weeks ago. there was a car accident not too seriouse thank goodness but a bang but both were males and they got out of their cars looked at the damage, and exchanged insurance ? no they had it all down on their iphones. I was in stitches as they were both peering over each other shoulders looking at what was written down.

It seems the times of carrying your insurance and things with you will not matter now with all these gagets

Pauline I was wondering if you had snow thinking of Brent getting to and from his day centre.lets hope it does not stay on the ground too long.

Well I spoke too soon about the snow, it's been coming down heavy for the last 20 minutes and we've got a couple of inches of the white stuff on the ground now. I needed to go out today but don't think I'll bother now.

Marilyn, I got your card, thank you. I've still got some to write out yet.

Morning all, it's dark and damp here with little flurries of snow coming down. I think today is one of those rare times when the south of the country will have worse weather than the north.

Hope you're a bit warmer today Hazel.

I was at a funeral yesterday and I've got another one to go to next Tuesday as well. My massive family get smaller by the day.

Linda, good luck for today, hope everything goes well for the wedding. Please give my best wishes to you daughter and her spouse. <3 <3

Rita, Brent is fine thank you, there's been a few health problems with other family members but my immediate family are OK.......... thankfully.

Cath, I think Stephen is the best one to help you with that part of you tree.

George, do you know the lady who damaged your gate, is she a friend?

The phone's ringing.............. be back later.

Cath ,

The only folk I can find in Royal Navy Records named William Henry Marsh dont seem to be your chap.
One was born in Bradford and one in Paddington.

This was a quick search.....give me a wee bit more time.

Heading off out soon.

Have a good day ya all .

Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Morning all,
Stephen.............. "Fluffy Paws" scares me, lol. ;-)
Feel a lot more mobile today, thank goodness.
This awful wind is getting beyond a joke, my 4 year old grandaughter is struggling with her asthma and we don't want her ending up in hospital again.
I have been working on my tree a lot this week and have decided to make my own Roll of Honour for those ancestors who gave their lives in both world wars and one who died in Korea in 1951. I joined a forces website which has a lot of useful info on it and found references to 2 ancestors who I knew had died in WW1 but hadn't been able to locate elsewhere.
I still have 1 ancestor who died in the Battle of Jutland who is proving hard to find and I am wondering where to look next, so if any of my friendly thread are bored ;-) ;-) ................ his name was William Henry Marsh born 8th october 1893 in Guernsey and died 31st may 1916. His nickname was "Curly" and he was possibly a Stoker although on what ship I don't know. I need to find him as I want these men to be remembered on my own Honour Page.

Hope all the friendlies are well and warm, take care if you go out in this awful weather.
Mo, how is Roly.
<3 <3 <3 to everyone,

Cath xx

Evening all,
Hope everyone has had a brilliant day today.

Some idiot while trying to turn round in the entrance to my house knocked the gate and gatepost over, she said she couldn't see it, WHAT.!!!!!.
And when she pulled out and off the gate and post, she hit the underside of her car on the bank opposite, makes you wonder why she is driving.
Still I shall get a brand new gate, fence and post, I wont let the just repair it. :-D :-D

Had the fire engines along the road today, thought one of the thatched roofes were alight, but it was a hay bale alight...probably bloody moronic kids again. :-( :-( :-( :-(

Hello to the new lady Hazel, good bunch on here, you will like them :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

George :-) :-) :-) :-)

Mo

I use to love ironing but as I have got older I dont like it one bit. I do it as I have to.
I remeber those pockets I use to go to our local Co-op and buy a packet of two they were a beigh colour I would sit and tack them after removing the old pockets and use the machine to sew them in. I use to buy elbow squares as well. and when Johns shirts collars wore I use to unpick them and turn them over and stitch them on his shirts. those where the day nothing was wasted. that was in the 50 's I often cut a piece off the inside of the bottom hem of his trouser legs to patch bits of his suit.. I did a good job as well. people dont need to do that these days, there are plenty of charity shops about. Clothes were still on ration then I think ?

I shall be going top bed about 10 tonight as I feel tired..
