Afternoon everyone! last night I couldn't get internet connection so as a last resort I watched Strictly! I wanted Jason to win. I liked your tree Marilyn. Dermot, I suppose people put knitted jackets on hot water bottles because otherwise they're too hot. I've nearly finished my Christmas preparations. My niece's baby was due yesterday and it hasn't put in an appearance yet!

My Granddaughter OH is collecting me, he insisted he came and collected me. he is 35 on Christmas day, so we celebrate that as well on Christmas day two celebration on one day .
Hope all my friends on here have a really lovely Christmas plenty of laughter and fun. ? dont over do the drink.we dont want you falling all over the place and hurting yourself.

Hi Rita,
Tree has been corrected ! LOL .... see I told you I nicked it from last Year :-)
Hazel.... that's the size tree both my sons would have....when they where little I always had a fake tree up until Christmas Eve ,then when the real ones where reduced on Christmas Eve I bought one and a big one at that .....So they both only insist on buying as big a tree that their room allows !
George.... have a great time at your sons, and to anyone else being treated for Christmas dinner . Where's Foggy going for Christmas dinner ????? hmm Lady friend !
Not forgetting our Stevey, Bob, & Dermot.....hope your all going to be spoilt for Christmas
:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Well I have to crack on and close this lappy of mine as its distracting me from preparing this Christmas dinner Mawh...

Hi all who have been upand around so far Three of us with bad backs eh? I hope mine is going just taken Ibroprufen, I remember when Crookes developed that drug with Boots as their owners. Many many years ago, prescription only and the new wonder drug for arthrittus. Now anyone can buy it and not too expensive either if you buy chemists own brand.
Cath we are going to The Da Vinci exhibition in The National Gallery in Trafalgar Square. Booked tickets when they first told of it on breakfast TV and they were selling fast. Some on e-bay are now up for over £100 not nice and certainly not fair. Different if you can't go and want to get the face value for them but for a profit is out of order. Off my soap box now.
Clear and bright but still freezing here Hubby has shut of the outside taps before we get a leak !!
Bye for now Linda xxx :-) :-) :-) <3 <3 <3

Morning everyone.
It's freezing again here but the sun might come out later and melt the ice.
Hope you have a lovely time at your son's, George.
Stephen, get Fluffy Paws ready.......... because my back's killing me.
Rita, I wanted Chelsee to win but my hubby had his money on Harry........... so I'm pleased he won.
Nice tree, Marilyn. Hope the meal goes well today.
What exhibition is that, Linda?
Do I detect a hint of sarcasm Dermot? :-D :-D
Shelly, wear more clothes!! What happened to your avatar? Who nicked little legs?
Lovely tree, Hazel, looks massive. Edit: the tree looks massive........... not Hazel!!
Mo, I think you're right, Marilyn has led Pat astray. :-) :-)

Morning all, hope everyone is well and warm. Stephen thank you for all the info, great stuff :-D Am going through it all and checking it out. Strange how William Henry Marsh didn't die on the ship but was invalided out with vision problems only to die 5 years later, I'm nosey and want to find out more about that ;-) ;-) Might order his death cert to find out cause of death. Mo I'm glad Roly is on the mend in time for Christmas :-) Had a busy day yesterday and didnt have time to get on computer, just lots of last minute bits and bobs and some tidying up. Its very cold this morning but the sun is out and the howling wind has gone. Have a great day all,

Off to my Great Nephews house this morning, finish off what I started yesterday. His children, my Great, Great Neices and Nephews are so excited about Christmas it was a joy to watch them. I had them singing at one point and that was magic. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D And although Santa was 'Stuck up the Chimmney' I assured them he would be out in time for Christmas. Children are fantastic.
Hope all are well. And for those with aching limbs and sore backs......

Keep well keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Hi everyone white frost everywhere this morning the worst we have had this month so far. well Harry won the strickly come dancing I am pleased he did. although I would liked to have seen Chelseey win it , she was so brave coming out on the floor on her own and dancing. I dont know what I will look at now on a Saturday and sunday night ? . next week sees the last in the series of Merlin. oh dear think I will need a tissue to cry. lol
My son was coming over to day but was taken ill yesterday and had the emergency doctor give him a pain killing tablets. he had a tooth filled on Friday and has been in pain ever since.I was looking forward to him coming over as I have not seen him for three weeks.. to think this time next week will be Christmas day.I am looking forward to seeing my Great Grandchildren have not seen them since June.

Just wondered as I stride out in the early morning cold while many others are still in bed - what is the purpose of knitted jackets for hot water bottles?
Don't all rush with explanations!
