Hi Yvonne nice to see your busy lol hope you have a lovely Christmas. and everyone else on FT.

I have a tooth ache and boy does it hurt. I might have a abcess under it nor sure. ? I phoned my Dentist this morning for an emergency appointment. ? explained it is really bad and pain Killers do not make it any better. To be told by her receptionist that all the computers were down and he could not do any appointments for to day. they didnt even know the appointment for that morning.but if I phone in the morning around 8 he would get me one for tomorrow., so I suffer until tomorrow. even then not sure if they will do anything ?if there is an abcess there.?
what worries me is if I have to have the tooth taken out being on warfarin I dont know what will happen.?
Anyway I walked over to the surgery as I had to call in the Chemist and the computers were still down.

why is it that when the computers go down busniess stops.?

Pat thank you for your card. I got it this morning came with two cards from America. and one from Holland.

I have tooth ache I cannot beleive what it has cost me for the Dentist visits this year. . I could have had a good holiday with what I have spent. so I am going to have to phone and ask for an emergency appointment, as I am not due to see her till..10th January
I dread having a tooth out as I am on warfarin. but needs must.

Evening All !

The weather has been very cold today but with a fair bit of sunshine it was rather pleasant :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Foggy , You are going into Hospital just to get attention from all those lovely Nurses ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) Best of luck.

Pauline, Would I do as a substitute for 'Fluffy Paws' ? :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Hazel, Not the best time of year to have heating problems. It only needs the smallest leak to drop the pressure in the boiler. Hope they get it fixed for you.

Rita , I've seen folk out in their pyjamas pottering about in the garden. No one bothers what they wear nowadays. Let it all hang out.....ROFL

Heading out shortly. Back later hopefully.

Hi all.

Can I just remind you all that Foggy goes into hospital on Wednesday............... to have another stent fitted I think.

Good luck Foggy, hope it all goes well for you and you're back home in time for Christmas.

Hazel, I used to have the same problem with the heating not coming on because the pressure had dropped. The plumber said if often happened to lots of boilers (he wasn't calling me a boiler by the way) and he said nothing could be done to stop it.
But he was wrong!!! I noticed the boiler sometimes had a tiny drop of water under it (it was hardly noticeable), so I called the plumber again. He said it was just a tiny bit of condensation, but I insisted he tightened all the joints. That was over a year ago and we've had no bother since. The pressure used to drop every couple of months before the joints were tightened.

Rita, you should have taken a photo of the sky this morning. I often think about taking photos of the sky when it's deep red. Not that I ever get round to it!!

Now isn't that just typical? Fluffy Paws goes on holiday when he's needed most!! :-(

Don't fancy that 13 hour ferry trip Cath.

Hope you all have a lovely day. :-D :-D

Hi everyone

I havent got any heating its so cold in here. Waiting for them to come and sort it out yet again. Its the presser yet again gone down.

Thing is that the boiler is out in shed out back. and i have alot of bits in there from in here to get it out the way while decorateing being done. so got to try and move the lot.

Morning All my Friends,

Jean I will settle for the porriage please it is that cold here this morning I need to keep warm.

I woke and looked out at the sky and thought the world was on fire. the sky was completely red as far as you could see. I thought how beautiful it looked as all the house and bungalow roofs were white with frost..

I hope you all have a good day whatever your plans are ?

see you later

Good morning friendlies,
hope everyone is well and full of festive cheer :-) :-) :-)
I have to confess I am feeling quite christmassy today, I have caught the grandchildrens excitement which is highly contagious lol.
I'm taking mother to town this morning (breathes deeply) and getting my hair cut at 12, last day of the school run too which is great. I finish work on thursday so will do my big food shop on friday and hopefully have saturday free to chill out. Going to friends in Portsmouth for new year which I am really looking forward to (apart from the 13 hour ferry trip) and hoping to bag some bargains in the sales.
Have a lovely day folks,

Morning All,

Jean.....nice to see you're up and about early as usual......I need a big breakfast.....I'm fading away to a mountain ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Didn't get time to stop and think yesterday, so busy , finished off the day with a trip to the big city of Glasgow with the family. Had a fantastic time at the Carnival and viewing all the lights. Not to mention a great bag of chips.. Magic :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Lots of bits and bobs to do today to get cleared for Christmas.Hopefully I'll get time to Christmas shop later in the week. I'm always a last minute shopper for presents. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Cath....It's always best to check out information that has been passed down through the years. My oldest brother was in the Royal Navy during WW2. The information I had was that he was on a Submarine Depot Ship. When I started my family history I found that he had in fact been on the Midget Subs and was involved in some very dangerous missions. He never mentioned this to anyone. I found his name in a classic book....'Above us the Waves', A real hero.

'Fluffy Paws' is heading off for his Christmas Holidays this week. He needs a wee break. :-D :-D :-D :-D

Hope all are well and withstanding this crazy time of year when we are all caught up in a whirlwind of activity.

Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Morning all, hope you had a peaceful night.
Thick frost here this morning, and very cold, dont think I will venture out.

Breakfast anyone?
Porridge or cereal,
Bacon, eggs, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms and hash browns.
Hot rolls or toast, marmalade, honey or jam.
Tea or coffee.

I suppose everyone is busy with last minute preparations for Christmas.
Anyone going out for whatever reason take care and stay warm.
Hope everyone is well, and the 'bad backs' are getting better.

Have a good day and stay safe.
Jean xx :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
