Good morning everyone
Well up early today to send good wishes to Foggy, I hope all goes well and you will be home to celebrate Christmas with a lot less pain and worry.
Out to friends this morning, then on to Ruislip to see my Mumn as she will be with my sister for Christmas and Boxing Day. They are closer and she can have her medicines moring and evening and sleep in her new bed. This evening our son and his wife are coming to see hubby as they can't make tomorrow on his birthday.
I managed to wrap all the gifts last night, so I am pleased about that.
One more card came yesterday that I hadn't sent, oops it will go first class today but I hope it gets to them on time. No more now as they definately will be around until the new year.

Have a good day everyone.

My niece still hasn't had her baby yet!
I've started packing my case!

Dermot

Dermot Report 20 Dec 2011 19:24

My dad believed that if you didn't shave on a Sunday you would never suffer from toothache.

He usually shaved himself late on Saturday night so that he would look presentable for church in the morning. I never remember him complaining.

He never offered an opinion if there was a female equivalent cure!

Stephen2009

Stephen2009 Report 20 Dec 2011 18:31

Rita,

If you can do it......try soaking a piece of cotton wool with whisky and placing that on the tooth, squeezing gently with your other teeth to ooze the whisky out..

It does work and numbs the pain.

Thats nice Stephen but it has not helped my tooth ache and it is aching like mad. roll on tomorrow and I hope I get it done.

I seem to have made The Dentists surgery my new home, I have spent so much time there this year, I should have invested some money I would have made a fortune.

Robert Burns'

Address to the Toothache

Standard English Translation

My curse upon your venomed sting,
That shoots my tortured gums along,
And through my ear gives many a twinge
With gnawing vengeance,
Tearing my nerves with bitter pang,
Like racking engines!

All down my beard the drools trickle,
I throw the little stools over the mickle,
While round the fire the children cackle
To see me leap,
And raving mad, I wish a Heckling comb
Were in their backside!

When fevers burn, or ague freezes,
Rheumatics gnaw, or colic squeezes,
Our neighbours sympathize to ease us
With pitying moan;
But you! - you hell of all diseases,
They mocks our groan!

Of all the numerous human woes -
Bad harvests, stupid bargains, cutty-stools,
Or worthy friends laid in the crumbling earth,
Sad sight to see!
The tricks of knaves, or annoyance of fools -
You bears the prize!

Where ever that place be priests call Hell,
Where all the tones of misery yell,
And ranked plagues their numbers tell
In dreadful row,
You, Toothache, surely bears the bell
Among them all!

O you grim, mischief-making chap,
That makes the notes of discord squeal,
Till humankind often dance a reel
In gore a shoe-thick,
Give all the foes of Scotland's well
A twelve months toothache.

Mo in Kent Report 20 Dec 2011 14:55

Afternoon everyone.
This is my thrid time of trying to send a message to you all.

Good luck for Wednesday Foggy. You will be in my thoughts, but have a definate feeling that you will be home for Christmas.
Just make sure you take it easy, and let the girls run around after you.
I will see you at the Victoria meet, but this time please make sure that the old reprobate George comes along with you. lol ;-).

Rita, I think the teeth aching is catching. I have one that is doing just that, but cant get to see my dentist till January like you. But if it gets to painful, I will go to our local hospital who have am emergency dental line service, and get it sorted out then hopefully.

Yvonne, all out local shops are hectic at the moment. Blue water, and Lakeside have been manic. We went to the Sava Centre Friday, and almost everyone, was putting their shopping on their credit cards.
They will be paying that back, right up to next christmas and beyond.

Thank goodness your heating is now working properly Hazel, brrr it's far to cold to be without it.
I hope you can now get yourself organised for christmas. Good luck love.

Nearly all finished here, just got the fresh fruit and veg to get, oh and of course the bread and rolls.
