Thanks for the cake Noreen, it was yummy.
i used to bake when son was small and I didn't work but I sometimes make a sponge cake if the fancy takes me
Jean I hope the thieving toe-rag is found and made to pay for what he did to you and Red, I just don't understand how or why people hurt animals

Shelly, cyber cake is definately not fattening, and after all your hard work losing all that weight, it's the best kind of cake to eat.
Aaah poor Mia Noreen, I bet she felt sorry for herself after her ordeal. It's amazing how animals sense a vet, as soon as they appear on the scene, and start to kick off straight away. Mia is a good age isn't she, we lost our Misty at the age of 16, and oh boy do we miss her.
Well girls, another weekend has arrived, and it's raining yet again. Has anyone got anything exciting planned. We are going to visit three of the grandchildren tomorrow, providing they have not gone out for the day.
Take care all, have a good un. Mo

Phew! that was hard work (watching) the vet arrived with an assistant a really pair and Mia was sitting quietly in the chair ..opened her eyes must have sensed something and was off luckily had closed door so managed to get her and the young assistant took her to table...Well an almighty noise exploded from her ladyship growling/hissing snapping you would think she was being murdered and this is before anything happened haha! but the wee lass got her on table lying on her side though cat was trying hardest to bite her then as injection was going just calmed own took the worming pill got de-flead had her claws cut no bother at all and vet was out of house within 5mins....Bill for all this £95 ouch!!!!!!!!! and she has to come back again in 3wks to give her the next dose of injections unfortunately she had run out of time from when she got it last year so has to start again and to think I had a very fit and healthy cat for 20 yrs and never had an injection . but just glad to get it over with and son will be paying bill

Phew, thank goodness you are o.k Noreen, it's quite a worry when we don't hear from our cyber friends for a couple of days. Oh my word, beetroot and chocolate cake, now that is something I have never heard of before. Yep, my eyes are going all squinty wondering what it will taste like, my mind is boggling as well.......well it don't take much to boggle my mind lately. lol. I hope puss behaved herself for the vet, and that poor John has got some skin left for you to tort....oops bathe for him I mean. I am in the middle of doing a curry for our dinner, mmmm yummy. Then I am away to darts tonight, it's our first game of the season, so wish us luck.
I hope everyone is keeping well, and that Marilyn and Jeni are on the road to recovery. Love and hugs Mo

Well Shelly I'm most impressed with your elect. prowess (see I can spell big words! ...I hope) if you have a spare moment please come to H/g and sort mine out it's been off for a year ...got yummy fudge cake for you and only you!!shhh! ps I like your work arrangements that would have suited me when I was younger now (as I'm retired you would think it's an easy peasy life HA! ) son emigrated but still has his business here so who do you think is looking after it...well no prizes for guessing who :-S
Jeni I hope they catch those horrors they deserve to be shot but suppose it will be a hard job to do so have you got any more horses they are lovely looking animals but must admit I'm a bit nervous around them they are sooo big
How are you Yvonne? hope you got the cake I sent you the cream and strawberry one ...now daughter said the straws were a bit off :-S How can straws be off unless really off and mouldy and they were not think she takes after her father's side ..difficult to please in some things :-D BUT still she ate it

Jeni, I hope everything at Christies went well today my love, and that you are not to tired after your treatment. I can't believe that the police let the rotten swines out, before taking them to court for the cruelty to Red. They will never be found now, unless your FAMILY can find them. They want stringing up from the privates, and being beaten as poor Red was.
Shelly, unfortunately we can never rely on our weather can we. And dont swear at me purleeze, talking about your garden being lit up like a christmas tree, christmas is coming soon enough as it is..yeeeeeeee noooooooooo
Where the blinky heck has Noreen got to, I hope she is o.k.

Hello friendlies, hope you are all ok. Mo I do hope the antibiotics are working now. <3 Shelly, it sounds like you have been a very busy lady. <3 Yvonne, the men who stole Red were due in court yesterday for sentencing, but the whole family have gone over to Ireland and cannot be found, they are Irish travellers and none of their family will tell the police where they are. <3 Noreen, it upsets and annoys me when people are cruel to animals, I can never understand why they have to hurt them. <3
Oh well, another day over, think I will have a cuppa and an early night as I have an early start tomorrow, Christie at 10. Night, God bless you all. xxxx :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) <3

Oooh Noreen, how could you....poor John being scratched like that, and you being so unsympathetic like that, (titter titter serves him right). Huh men never listen do they. Your Mia sounds just like our Misty used to be, ooh I do miss her, as mischievious as she was. The cake was scrummy by the way, thanks very much.
By the way, the photo's on Shelly's painted walls in the garden are fabulous, very very tropical. I wish I was as artistic as her, all it needed was the sun to be shining, and I could have imagined myself sitting on a beach with a lovely tropical drink in my hand, instead of being stuck indoors and looking out at the rain pouring down.
Jeni, if you happen to look in my love, just letting you know I will be thinking of you tomorrow...(((((((((HUGS))))))))
Marilyn, I hope you are starting on the road to recovery,((((((((HUGS)))))))
Take care everyone, Mo

Oh Dear Oh Dear ..... of course, the cake is on it's way for you allI was just putting extra strawberries on ...ok will send you Shelly a whole strawberry on it's own and guess what we have a yellow tomato from the garden there are plenty to ripen just hope the sun comes back the red ones have been so sweet just wondering what the yellow ones will be like will post you some down as well :-D
Ohh forgot to say never got to the vets!! John !!! Kept cat in all morning though she was going mad when him indoors went to garage came in opened the door and out she jumped 2 mins before we were going to go... ughh ... He ..John then had the cheek to say how did the door open, the so and so he thought I hadn't seen him open it , why didn't he open it slowly Why??? so off she went John did manage to catch her and was bringing her in when the deadly enemy the neighbours cat Henry came into garden and our's got spooked and (hahaha - opps sorry) scratched John all over his hands so he escaped again? (silly so and so why didn't he hold on?) well off she went so had to cancel and got vet to visit sometime next week . So we went out to town instead came home and there's our Mia sitting waiting as good as gold to get in...Told you it would be an effort to get her there :-( :-D
