Rita, That's good that you can express how you feel , a burden shared is a burden halved. Life seems to do that to us, a pile of trouble all at once when we could really do without it. I know exactly how your son will be feeling about his sight. I live with the constant threat of losing my vision in my right eye. I am slowly going blind but the problem could cause sudden loss of sight. I let my good Lord handle things.

Mo, That was a cracker. I have heard people talk about this 'Viagra'....but because of my poor hearing I thought they were saying 'Niagara' and with a name like that I took them to mean Water Tablets ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

It has come as a shock also my son having been told he is to have an operation on his eye to save his sight I thought it was his bad eye but it is his good eye which is a terrible worry to him, he has a young family and a big morgage I had worry with the other son last year with a cancer on the Kidney and had the kidney removed.and son in law who had cancer and had to have half his tummy removed. so please think of John and send positive thought for him.

Evening everyone
Well hope nobody was blown away today!!! It was much worse than forecast.
We went to M&S this morning and got a few holiday clothes, I'm copying Marilyn eh? Then hubby got caught by the fuel people and we have changed to a new supplier and charge system. Hope it saves us money. On to friends for a cuppa and the last of their dundee cake shared. Good friends eh.
Cleared all of Christmas away this afternoon, looks so bare now. Need some pictures on the wall as they are still plain after the decorating.
Tomorrow need to do some banking, then sharing an Indian meal in the evening.
Saturday is my nieces 21st celebration party, but it is 40 miles away and will take about an hour.
Sunday is Daughter in laws birthday and a meal out too.

When will we have time to sit and do nothing eh. Retirement is busier than any work time so far.

Oh Rita, I'm so sorry to hear your latest news and just wish there was something I could do for you and your family.
Like you said, it doesn't seem fair that your family are having so many problems, I know how you feel as it was the same with our family a few years back, it's awful and you think that it's always going to be the same.
I know from reading your posts that you are a very positive lady and I'm sure once you have got over the initial shock you will pick yourself up again and fight it has you did in the past.

I am thinking about you all, and sending you lots of hugs and positive thoughts.

I had hoped that we would have a better year for health then last now it has all started again. very depressing news.. I cried when my son email to say what the hospital had told him about his eyes.

what did we do to deserve all this ?

Oh dear, I've had my lappy turned off for a few days........... so just seen your bad news, Rita. I'm so sorry to read about it. You've fought for years to keep the cancer under control, it must have been an awful shock to find out it's growing again. I'm pleased to see that your son will be going with you when you go back to see the doctor. We'll all be there with you in spirit, willing you to be strong and stay positive.

I hate this year 2012 it has started as a rotten year for this family. my younger son had an accident in a car when he was 18 and has trouble with his left eye. he goes to the hospital for test all the time he is 54 now. today he was told he needs an operation on that eye to save his sight.

I cannot beleive how one family can have so much worry when there are people who care nothing for others and are really bad people yet they sail through life without a care.

Makes me wonder why this is. ? I am beging to lose faith.

Rita sorry its wasnt the news you were hoping for. Glad you son is doing well now.

I am feeling bit better now. Its manily my throat thats worst.

I have been sorting out(slowly) my jumpers as i got some in the sale.then sorted out the draws under my bed, and yes i have got same colours already. My daughter Teri have some of them. Some of the old ones need to be bined anyway.

Very windy here over night and still is abit.Rain on and off as well.

Thank you for your kind thoughts I am still trying to come to terms with this last lot of news. there are so many questions I need to ask my consultant. my son is coming with me. this time.

My son Mike who had the cancer operation last January. who is a paramdeic and had a Kidney removed is back at work. part time and goes back for three days next week so they can get him back to his normal routine.
I am so pleased for him.

George, I am pleased you were a good boy at Sarah's apartment. ( I don't believe it really) And that you had a great time.
When does Foggy have to go back in again? I thought he was like the million dollar man anyway, let alone bionic. He's such a great guy.

The female dentist pulls out the numbing needle to give the man a shot of Novocain.
"No way ! No needles, I hate needles! he says.
The dentist starts hooking up the nitrous oxide,and the man objects "The thought of having the gas mask on, suffocates me!"
The dentist then asks the patient if he has any objections to taking a pill.
"No objection,I'm fine with pills"
The dentist then returns and says " Heres a Viagra"
The patient replied: "Wow! I didn't know Viagra worked as a pain killer!"
"It doesn't," said the dentist,"but it's going to give you something to hold on to when I pull your tooth out"

My scan showed up cysts,nothing to worry about,thank goodness and hubbys scan was all clear too. He has to go for a colostomy on Sat so fingers crossed that that is all clear too. ;-)
Have been to docs this morning to be told I have a chest infection so that is why this dammed flu is not clearing up.more pills to pop!!!
I hope all of you who have troubles and problems and ill health get sorted for the best.

Morning everyone. I am trying to think positive Stephen really I am

I am sorting things out for the children so they will find everything easily., I am also sorting out things I have not used for years and taking them to the charity shop. it has made me tthink all the stuff I have hoarded for years and never used, could be in a chairty shop earning money for them instead of being stuck in drawers and cupboards.will make it easier for me when doing my house work . lol

I went to the paper shop yesterday to pay my bill and they have a book shop section and had stacks of books at £1 each in their sale. so I brought 5 all my favourite authors.
The winds here are really bad they were so bad in the night I thought, the trees would fall down onto the flats.and the howling of the wind sounded like foxes. I am pleased I went out yesterday morning and did not leave it till today. I bet it is bad in your corner of the woods Stephen.

Hope Foggy is OK and George and Jean and Pauline Mo Yvonne and Linda and Cath and Pat and all the other friendly folk.

Have I mention my Grandson in the Army has now got engaged. that makes three now. two from the same family.

I do beleive the sun is trying to come out.

It's a miserable day in a small Greek village,the rain is pouring down
and all the streets are empty
.
The times are bad and all the villagers are in debt and living on
credit.

On this day a rich tourist and stops at a small hotel.

He says to the hotelier that he would like to look at a room and if it
is ok, he may stay a couple of nights.

As security he lays a 100 euro note on the counter
.
The hotelier gives him a master key to the rooms.

(1) As the tourist goes up the stairs,the hotelier takes the banknote
and runs to his neighbour the butcher and pays his debts

(2) The butcher takes the banknote and runs down the street and pays
the farmer.

(3) The farmer takes the banknote and pays his bill to the feed
supplier.

(4) He takes the banknote runs to the pub and pays his bill.

(5) The publican takes the note to a prostitute sitting at the bar who
was also going through hard times and giving her favours on credit.

(6) The prostitute takes the note and runs to the hotel to pay her
overdue room rent.

(7) The hotelier lays the 100 euro note on the bar.

At that moment the tourist comes down the stairs,takes the 100 euro
note,says none of the rooms are to his liking and leaves the village.

NOBODY PRODUCED ANYTHING

NOBODY EARNED ANYTHING

EVERYBODY INVOLVED IS NOW DEBT FREE AND LOOKING OPTIMISTICLY TO THE
