A Wee Chuckle for the day

And as It's Sunday I thought the following might be appropriate

Hymns for the Over 60s

Precious Lord, Take My Hand, And Help Me Up

Just a Slower Walk with Thee

Go Tell It on the Mountain, But Speak Up

Nobody Knows the Trouble I Have Seeing

Guide Me O Thou Great Lord God, I've Forgotten Where I've Left my Car

Count Your Many Birthdays, Count Them One By One

Blessed Insurance

It Is Well With My Soul, But My Knees Hurt

Morning All !

Foggy......nice to see you again.....are you keeping well ?

Rita, I usually watch a wee bit of TV after 9pm if there is something good on.
But a lot of the time I read or do something useful. I enjoy nature and wildlife programmes or Timeteam and Coast type programmes. These I record and watch when I get the time.
Hope you are feeling better in yourself.

I'm treating Lady Stephen today......she will have my undivided attention and I have agreed to go along with whatever she wants to do...........watch this space ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Hope all the other Friendly Folk have a good day :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Keep well, keep safe, keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

PS.

My right hand little finger and surrounding parts are swollen like a balloon.
I think the knuckle is damaged . Will leave it strapped up for another day or so and see how things go.

Mo I was just thinking that. The time has gone so quickly.
I went to the library today. You've got to check your own books in now and check them out as well. All well and good except the machine didn't check all of my books and it said that I checked 7 books instead of the 8 books I brought back. I only took 3 books out today!

George, I wish I had been where you were today. It's still blowing a gale here, and crikey there were no brass monkeys around thank goodness, it was sooo cold in the wind.

So exhausted today, after baby sittine little Lilly last night. She woke up two minutes after her mum and dad went out, and screamed from 7.30 to 10.50, when I eventually got her to sleep.
Why dont young parents these days get their children into a routine from an early age.
Lilly is child who is still up till very late, has no routine for her meals, and no set bedtime.
Thank goodness mine were in bed by 7.30 each night, to allow time for us to spend time together.
I can't believe it Lilly will be one next week. Oh how time has flown by, it only seems like a couple of months ago, that I told you of her birth.

ooooooooooooooooPrayers and thoughts for Rita.oooooooooooooooooo

Stephen,we haven't been to Pitlochry since niece is living there but we did go about 14 years ago and really liked it there, it's a beautiful place, I know niece and her family love living there, her hubby works for the Forestry Commission, not sure if that's what it's known as in Scotland. But he's also a joiner and carpenter and hoping to set up their own business in Pitlochry. Our neice has a degree in art and design, she designs tree houses, so between them, her designing and him making them to start with, they are hoping that the business will take off.

Rita I wonder what all the noises were during the night, maybe it someone passing through the car park on their way after having a few drinks.
You were busy this morning, I hope you will manage to rest now for the rest of today.
Still sending you all hugs and positve thoughts.

Pauline, my avatar is of my daghter and son-in-law's dog, Jay.
He is a cross between an English Bull Terrier and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He's a a very fussy and daft dog.lol!! we love him to bits.
My son-in-law's brother has Jay's brother, but don't look at all alike in any way. Although he is as fussy and daft as Jay.

Hazel, as you say, it's nice to know that we are alone into doing some daft things.lol!!
Hope you start to feel better very soon. Rest and stay warm.

Jean hope those people get all they deserve for the terrible thing they did.
I'm sure you will be gald when it's all over and done with.

Well I'll speak to you again soon, take care everyone and stay warm.

Hello everyone

Hope those of you who have been under the weather are feeling a bit better today.

Getting some washing done today, OH has been at home this week and I never seem to get much done around the house when he's around, he's gone to see his dad today so I've hoovered and dusted all over, the only room I don't do is my son's he does that himself cos he likes things done his way, if I do it he moans that I've moved stuff and everythings out of place.

Stephen I had a good giggle at your joke about the dress :-D

Jean, in my area we've had a spate of horse thefts and winter rugs stolen off horses backs, so we are having to be more careful of who comes into the yard.

Morning everyone. The sun is out George must have saved it for today or ran out of wind and could not blow the other day. lol

I had a funny night. thought I heard someone outside my bedroom window it leads to a visitors car park could not see anyone. so went into loo got back in bed and heard the fire alarm go then stop. so lay there waiting for it to go again it didnt. it is new the firemen put it in free for me ,lasts ten years so they said. it will see me out
Then a flash came I thought lightening one thing I hate ? no it was the fire alarm managed to get to sleep then, till someones morning alarm went off., in saying that I jumped out of bed this morning and made some tea had a shower then stripped the bed and changed the sheets and duvet. hate doing that. it is hard work. I feel I have done a days work just doing that.
Now I have to check my pension letters as my pensions didnt go into the bank on 30th December didnt know that till I checked my statement yesterday.so something else to worry about. lol

Jean I hope they get what they deserve burning your stables down and killing the horses/ they wont do that again in a hurry.

Stephen fancy laying in bed. ? did her ladyship bring you tea and toast lol. like you do for her.

see you later.

Morning everyone.

Marilyn, I love your new avatar, it's very pretty.

Sallie, what type of dog is on your avatar? I can't make it out very well.

I can't make Ann's avatar out very well either.............. think I need to go to Specsavers!!

I think we must be all as daft as each other on here because I've tried to change channels on the telly with the phone as well. The other day my hubby tried to change channels on the telly in the lounge....... with the remote from the bedroom. He even put new batteries in it when he couldn't get it to work. :-S

Jean, I hope the police are right and those lads stay in prison............ not sure if it'll teach them anything though. :-(

Huia, you might have saved that page to a different part of your computer by mistake........ I've done that a few times.

Hope the ones who aren't well will pick up soon.

Rita, just try to stay strong, we're all here for you. The lovely people on this site will give you as much support as you need.

A Wee Chuckle for the day

AT THE BAR THE OTHER NIGHT

An elderly looking gentleman, (mid nineties) very well dressed, hair well groomed, great looking suit, flower in his lapel, smelling slightly of a good after shave, presenting a well-looked-after image, walks into an upscale cocktail lounge.

Seated at the bar is an good looking lady.

The gentleman walks over, sits alongside of her, orders a drink, takes a sip, turns to her and says.....................................,

"So tell me, do I come here often?"
