Hello Friendlies. I hope you are all well.
Pauline I am very sad at the news about Marilyn. I am totally taken aback by it.
Thank you Mo for the information I asked for, I have sent Marilyn a card, wishing her well. What a tragedy. I know Marilyn to be very full of life and very bubbly.
I shall say a prayer for her.

OH MY GOD, Pauline, this is such sad news, I really can't come to terms with it. Marilyn has been such a lovely, strong personality on here for so long, it's so hard to believe she is suffering like this, bless her. My hopes and prayers are willing her to beat this blasted disease. Thank you so much for keeping us updated my love.
How are you keeping now honey?. I hope that your back problem is not as bad as it was, and that you are able to bear the pain that I know you have suffered recently. How is your Brent getting on now love? It seems ages ago that we spoke of his having problems getting out and about during all the thick snow you had. When the mini bus couldn't get through to pick him up. Oh boy, how times whizzes by.
LOL Noreen, our Shelly has never been a drinker, she only normally has coke, and thats the type that you drink of course, and the thought of her getting a little tiddly, tickled me pink. When do you get your lappy back from the lappy hospital?
Shelly, a nice shiney purple laptop, cor blimey mate, you wont lose that will you. lol I am envious really, I wouldn't even mind a new one, regardless of it's colour, it could be black, blue, pink any colour at all will do me. You will soon get used to squiggly lines, and sort them out, knowing what a technaphobe you are.
Well I will love you and leave you all for now, hugs Mo.

Just popped back to tell you that Pete rang back.
He said that Marilyn is having a blood transfusion this afternoon, she's had an infection. The infection is the reason she's in hospital, plus she's had to have 7 litres of fluid taken from her abdomen. The cancer is in the left ovary, uterus and left side of her abdomen.
The doctor told Pete that the chemo will treat all areas at the same time.
As Marilyn has been sleeping most of the time she's been unable to have visitors but Pete will let us know how she's getting on with the treatment.
Hope you're all keeping well. <3

Hi everyone
Haven't been on for months and now I'm only here to give you all some bad news. Marilyn is in hospital as she's taken a turn for the worse. They've found out the cancer is at stage 3 and it's spread.
She's very ill at the moment but they're still going to go ahead with the chemo treatment and hope it works.
She wanted everyone to know that she's unable to answer PMs and emails at the moment but she's thinking of everyone and knows everyone is thinking of her.
I couldn't quite understand everything Pete was saying because his mobile was breaking up all the time but he's going to ring me later and tell me again.
I'll come back later and tell you what he said after he's explained it to me.
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 to Marilyn
Sorry to see that Jean is going through chemo again........ fingers crossed it works.

Be back later.

Noreen, thank you for letting us know about the blood test. In fact I had a lovely p.m from Elizabeth more or less stating the same thing. It's surprising what the doctors either dont know about, or don't bother to read up on. It would save so many more peoples lives, if they did it as a matter of course. Whilst I was at the doctors yesterday, I noticed a notice, offering an injection for people over the age of 70, against shingles. I just wondered to myself, why that particular age, and if perhaps it should be offered to everyone over the age of perhaps 65, like they do with the flu jab and the pneumonia jab.
Mmm we have just finished a lovely chicken casserole, with roast potato's, peas, cauliflower, and sprouts. So look out folks, it's going to be very windy round here tonight. lol :-) :-) :-)
Sorry, but no fresh news on Marilyn. I don't like to bother her to much at the moment, she is going through enough as it is. Sending ((((((((((HUGS <3 <3 <3 specially for Marilyn))))))))
Tale care everyone, hugs Mo xx

Ovarian cancer can be easily confused with IBS so can I suggest to anyone if they are ever told they have IBS to ask for a blood test which only takes minutes as this can give a result for such a dreadful illness. I recently underwent tests for bowel cancer luckily it was clear and then hosp. said it could be IBS. Knowing the above I then promptly asked for the test for Overian and doc immediately said yes and sent me to the get the blood test thankfully it was clear. This is a test which I have heard they are trying to bring into the normal blood tests that you get and would cut down the number of woman who are diagnosed far too late. Hope you don't mind me putting this on here Noreen

Shelly, like you, I am having trouble getting my head around Marilyns problem. She has always been so active, and a special person to us all, and does NOT deserve to have to undergo this. Since she came back from America the last time, she has been so unwell on lots of occasions, and in and out of hopsital. Why the heck has it taken this long to diagnose her, ooooh I could swing for somebody.
Noreen, I would have loved to witness your 2yr old's escapade with the bed, and your faces especially. It's typical that she doesn't want to go to bed at night. Our Lilly is the same...I think she's frightened she's going to miss something by going up to bed. She will sit quietly watching the t.v with her parents, and then drop of to sleep, so then they carry her up to bed. Cor talk about making a rod for their own backs, if they had only stuck at what was suggested in the first place, and not given in, they would not be facing this problem, at the age that she is, three in January.
I am smiling :-D :-D :-D today, I have had my crown fitted, and now have a gleaming set of gnashers :-D :-D :-D aint they just grand.
Sending ((((((((((HEALING PRAYERS FOR MARILYN <3 <3 <3))))))))))))
Bye for now all. Mo xxx

Mo it was sooo hot here this morning we went to town and came home sweltering got our coffee and sat outside...Lovely.....Not ! ... in 5mins it went Cold not cool but freezing evenn put the fire on this afternoon. I think 2yr olds are the most amazing little people they are just discovering everything and as you say full of energy (oh to have some of it) we took out 2yr old to shops she slipped my hand and off she went with me in tow but just a bit quicker (always in my sight though) caught up with her, she had climbed into a childs bed on display snuggled down under the cover and was calling out to all "Night Night" everyone was in stiches... and parents had a problem with her going to bed at night! just wish I had a camera with me. Hi everyone else hope it's warmer in your paret of the country/world and Marilyn positive thoughts as always <3 Well something smells nice from the kitchen John making meal tonight so I'm off Take Care Be Good if you can toodleooo the noo Noreen :-D

Thank you Elizabeth, Yvonne, Jeni and Noreen, I am sure our lovely Marilyn will be pleased to know she is in our hearts and prayers.
Well I don't know where the weather forecasters got their predictions from yesterday, today was supposed to be sunny and warm....huh wrong Mr Weatherman, we have been overcast and windy all day. When I spoke to a very good friend from up in Stockport today, she was sitting out in her garden, enjoying a nice cup of coffee, in the sunshine, whilst I was shivering on the bench in my garden...jealous, no not me ooh I am a fibber. lol We had our lovely Lilly again today, and I am well and truly cream crackered. How can a two year old bottle up so much energy, and then release it as soon as she walks through our front door. And yes you are right, I thoroughly enjoy every minute of it. Especially when walking round the supermarket, she is singing out loud, and everyone is smiling at her, but, no one could understand a word she was singing, but the melody was lovely.
Well, thats my waffle for the day. I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Sending (((((((((((BIG HUGS + <3 <3 <3 FOR OUR MARILYN))))))))) Stay strong Maz, you are in my prayers sweetheart.
Love to all, Mo xxx
