How did you get to that Board Marilyn ? I was trying to find it so I could look at it but was not able to find it .when I joined DFHS years ago I was sent all the websites I could check up on names etc but I lost that and have not ask them for another one. I will have to check in the magazine.

Been watching Poirot and footy today. A nice way to spend Sunday :-)

Rita I will be glad when its done but have wanted to get on with it for a while so I'm not complaining. Haven't yet decided on colour scheme.

I didnt realise it had started raining and all my washing is now wetter than when I hung it out. Will have to re-spin it.

Rita, I thought that it was getting very close for your appointment at the hospital. It's understandable that you are getting worried, let's hope that what the Consultant will tell you about what treatment they have decided would be best there will be a positive side to it and that in the long run you will benefit from it. I will be thinking about you and also sending you lots of positive thoughts.

No Rita, I wouldn't like to eat pink cauliflower either, especially when it is supposed to be white. So I'm with you on this.


It's been a cold damp day here today, it's that sort where it feels as though the cold and damp seems to cling to you. If you know what I mean?

My daughter and her husband go off to Devon tomorrow Marylin. till next Friday. I said I hope the weather is nice, she is taking warm clothes with her. but they go on a coach tour four times while they are there.so thats good.

Sallie I think it is bad that there was no warning on the package of that Cauliflower.. I am going to tell them about it at the shop.

I have the Hospital on Tuesday and I am getting worried now. my tummy feel like jelly. if I smoked I would be smoking non stop and if I was drinking I would be drunk lol I have been fine up till now,

It is getting colder here. I have put the heating on earlier than usual .

Marilyn thanks for that information about why the cauliflower can sometimes pink. after cooking. I would have been like Rita and thrown it away, thinking that it was something to do with the chemicals that had been put on them to help them grow.lol!! We learn something new all the while.


Rita, I have seen purple and green cauliflowers for sale here in Derbyshire from time to time......I've never bought them though as I don't fancy eating them. Maybe I should buy one sometime so that I know what they taste like.lol!!
It's quite cold here today it's that kind of damp clinging cold, it's just nice to be at home in the warm.



Daughter and her hubby have just gone, they come every Sunday for their Sunday roast. We sat talking for a good while after we had eaten today, so they were later than usual going home. Not that we mind, it's nice to have them here.


I hope all our other friends on here are all OK.

Maddie..... I missed your post on Linen trousers, well I dare not look at them as my figure is Srinking !! LOL I'm sure they are fabulous , I did see a lady consultant last week at the hospital that was wearing Tiger Loafers ...they looked great I was about to ask her where she bought them,when she was called away on her bleeper .So I have my eye set on a pair of them ....looking in most stores, probably got them from Jimmy choo.. :-)

Its not so good today a little bit dull here, but not cold YET !!
I'm away for a week tomorrow,so if I'm missed you'll know where I am .North Devon.

LOL I haven't had one for years cor I can remember when I loved to guess who my cards were from.....many many many years ago ;-)

Shelly I have lost 5lbs since I came back from Hols, mind you I am eating three times a day but just enough to say I'm satisfied. No spread on my toast and no wine and just smaller portions nothing in between maybe some fruit..... I hate diets ... This is easy peasy ..LOL.

Just had two poached eggs on one piece of toast....& a cuppa

I bought two climbing roses for my pergola so I will go and plant them now ..nothing excessive LOL...

Morning All my Friends.

Marilyn thank you for that about the pink cauliflower I never knew that about it. ? I steam my veg not over steam them so the are still a little crunchie. but I dumped the cauliflour as I thought it had been treated with something and that had turned it pink. In all my years this its the first time I have had one like that. I know you can buy certain foods that have a different colour but not cauliflowers. lol see you live and learn. I shall look at labels now and see what they have written on them.

Cath I bet your be pleased when the decorating has been finished. ?


Shelley I once weighed 16 stone and went on a diet through my doctors the nurse use to open the surgery every friday evening for us to go and get weighed and given charts on our progress. within a year I was down to 13 stone but I was ill after losing that much weight so quickly. I stayed that way for a litle while but went up to 14 stone in that year. and felt better for it.

It is cold out not that I have been out but stuck my head outside the window to take in the fresh air.didnt day out there long.
