Rita, I am soooo pleased for you, it's such good news. Well done my love, and now you have to stay strong for your son. You know we are all behind you, praying for him.

Linda, I bet you and Hubby are both shattered as well as your daughters.
The first grandchild takes it out on grandparents as well as the parents. All the waiting is tiring, and you become afraid to move away from the phone, just in case it rings, with news from the new parents.
First babies take their time in arriving dont they, they are comfortable where they are.
Lets hope that you get some news by the morning.
Night night god bless one and all.

Rita Report 31 Jan 2012 21:36

Linda perhaps when you wake in the morning the baby will be born and your be able to celebrate.
I cannot beleive it is 1st February tomorrow where has the month gone ?
we had a few flakes of snow here this evening but it seems to have gone but it is very cold outside I would not be surprised to find snow on the ground or deep frost tomorrow morning.
I have been having phone calls this evening from, friends from Norfolk etc asking how I got on.. so I have now made my Horlicks and I will be going to bed soon.

hope everyone is warm .?

Sorry folks Looks like it will be 1st Feb when this baby arrives !!

Wish I could take her a curry as both the girls are there together and daughters partner too and they've been there nearly 24 hours now. They must all be exhausted.

I'm tired and I've only been waiting at home.

Thank you Stephen. Linda .Pauline. Sallie and George for your kind remarks. I was pleased at least it gives me a few more month not too worry till the next time.

It is my son I am concerned about now. He tells me not to worry but how can you not when he is the youngest of the children 54. married with three children.
My Granddaughter Stacey is not so lucky she was messed about at a hospital she has been going too for 20 years, they have made so many mistakes making her worse than when she has been into hospital yesterday she was told they cannot do much for her at another hospital she was sent too they said they were disgusted with the way the other hospital treated her. she is only 37 and has three small children. I cannot name the hospital on here. as you must know. but she is waiting now for the results from the New Hospital. to see if they can make her life a little better.

Hi everybody, couldn't get on the Internet yesterday because my server was down. Got the service back today but I've been out all day............. shopping.
The only thing I bought was a pan, how boring is that?

Rita, I'm so pleased for you, you'll be able to sleep better tonight after that good news. Now we're just waiting for your son to get some good news.

Waiting for Linda's news as well. :-) :-)

Cath, hope you had a lovely birthday, sorry I couldn't say it yesterday.......... good job e-cards can be booked in advance.

It's been bitter cold here but we've been lucky because we didn't get any snow. Now that I've said that, we'll probably be knee deep in it tomorrow.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to everyone.
Good news Rita several months before your next check, great.
Hope your son's eye op goes well too and that his sight is safe.
No baby yet, it is keeping us waiting. My other daughter is now at the hospital with her sister and was planning on a 2 hour round trip to collect their Grandfather from nr Wycombe. Not their best idea yet as he is over 88 yrs old and she has a sports car, too small, tight to get in and out of and it's been around freezing all day here.
Hubby hurt his back at the gym this morning and probably couldn't drive so far(there and back) at the moment. He has an osteopath apt tomorrow.
So still waitng. Hope to be back on very soon. Been 17 hours now !!
Hi Gang
Pleased to say things went better than I thought they would . the professor said to me and my son I had a lot of issues and they didnt want to put me through things if they could help it. . I had done well and they were pleased after a meeting with the consultants. the nodule has grown, to 17 mm and they didnt think it was cancer one. but they need to keep a check on it my kidney is the one with cancer but it had not grown and they hope it would stay that way.the other kidney is not a real healthy one that is one of the issues.
I am having another scan in two months time and go back to see him on 1st May.
I could have danced when he told me. both my son and I felt alot of relief
.
Now I hope they get my sons eye op sorted quickly and that he will be OK he is worried as we all are. of losing his sight.
so please think of him.
Rita
Thank you all for your support and thoughts. it started to snow on the way to the hospital and was bitterly cold.
A Wee Chuckle for the day
They just don't make the songs like they used to any more!!!!!!!
Some of the artists of the 60's are revising their hits with new lyrics to accommodate aging baby boomers who can remember doing the "Limbo" as if it were yesterday. They include:
Bobby Darin - Splish, Splash, I Was Havin' A Slash
Herman's Hermits - Mrs. Brown, You've Got A Lovely Walker
Ringo Starr - I Get By With A Little Help From Depends
The Bee Gees - How Can You Mend A Broken Hip
Roberta Flack - The First Time Ever I Forgot Your Face
Johnny Nash - I Can't See Clearly Now.
Paul Simon - Fifty Ways To Lose Your Liver
The Commodores - Once, Twice, Three Times To The Bathroom
Procol Harem - A Whiter Shade Of Hair
Leo Sayer - You Make Me Feel Like Napping
The Temptations - Papa's Got A Kidney Stone
Abba - Denture Queen
"You haven't seen my teeth have you Wilma?
Tony Orlando - Knock 3 Times On The Ceiling If You Hear Me Fall
Helen Reddy - I Am Woman, Hear Me Snore
Leslie Gore---It's My Procedure, And I'll Cry If I Want To
And Last but NOT least...
Willie Nelson ---On the Commode Again
