Morning all Slept a little better last night. It feels cold here though. Will be off to pick up FIL to see his Great grandson this morning. Then he will stay for a good few days. Mo I have had the knitting needles out !!! We hadn't made any coloured baby clothes, as they didn't know whether they were having a girl or a boy. So yesterday before the visit to seee them all in the afternoon I made a little "beanie" hat and in the evening I made a pair of mittens. Both the smallest size I have as he is smaller than predicted.
Hubby's back is a little better than before. He just needs to be careful.

Evening everyone.
I've been out all day again, just logged on to see the news about the baby.
Congratulations to the parents and grandparents............. and welcome to the world, little Sebastian. He won't be little for long and I'm pretty sure he'll never want for anything.
Bet you can't wait to hold him, Linda. :-D :-D :-D :-D
Edit: It took ages to get that to post, thought I wasn't going to get on.
Got to go and make the dinner now. :-(

Good evening everyone Just back from our visit to the hospital. Our daughter is fine, but very tired. The diabetes medication is stopped now she has had the baby so that needs to settle down to normal, plus the hormones will be mixed up for her and he is in the Special Care Unit because he was having trouble breathing. But I was able to see him and touch him through the port-hole !! He should be out soon and only on air now not oxygen. I think he was tired after his long journey into this world. One good thing was she avoided a caesarian, I am so glad.
Well hubby's trip to sort his back was successful and he had some accupuncture, for the first time ever. He feels better and goes back next week.
Enjoy the evening everyone

I have had trouble gertting to this site this afternoon keep getting the erro coming up. Sallie I have felt a lot better today but tired I did the washing and went to the shops took my time walking about with my trolley I didnt buy anything before checking the labels and checking prices so it took me a time I told my son when he emailed me I had saved £3.50 on my shopping by checking prices and reading labels..
I have been trying to do some cards. I have had a couple of really lovely ones from Dutch.. my daughter said they are beautiful. I said it must have taken her a lot of time to do them I am artistic but there are sme things I stumble on. cards are one of them. I did do 10 on Sunday afternoon. because someone gave me a packet of plain cards and envelopes she had.given her and didnt want them. I have been doing some write ups for my family history society WFHS of times past. of traders in our street,so they can put them in the next magazine.
My sister has just emailed to ask about our summer holiday. usualy we book early but as there was a doubt because of an operation we left it till this morning . we are going to go to Western Super Mare in Somerset. as Mums fathers family came from a place called Mells so we want to go and have a look around the churches and grave yards. we have found a hotel in Western Super Mare. but it is the transport that is the problem. we had hoped that we could use the Nationl Coaches from Victoria to Somerset but when my sister inquired at the ofiice near her at Goldersgreen the girl said she didnt think they were doing them only night ones thats no good to us. so now we have to try and find away of getting there.
I have to catch a train from Here in Woking Surrey to Waterloo and bus from there to Hampstead. so it is hard to find a route I dont have to haul my cases off and on buses and trains.
I am off to make a cup of tea now.

A Wee Chuckle for the Day
Exercise
My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. Now she's 97 years old and we don't know where the hell she is.
The only reason I would take up exercising is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.
I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 pounds. Haven't lost a pound. Apparently you have to go there.
I have to exercise early in the morning before my brain figures out what I'm doing.
I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.
I have flabby thighs, but fortunately my stomach covers them.
The advantage of exercising every day is that you die healthier. If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.
And last but not least: I don't exercise because it makes the ice jump right out of my glass.

IT'S A BOY !!!
Finally heard from youngest daughter about 5:30 that her sister had finally had the baby. No details yet just that she wasn't actually there and hadn't seen them as she had been taken into surgery but eventually came on his own, but is small and H is exhausted. No name yet either.
Now have hubby at osteopath at 11:00 and have to go get FIL and he will be staying for a few days too.
So another February birthday for us.
Have a good day everyone
