I am trying to sort my holiday out. we were going to Western Super Mare but could find no good write ups for the Hotels/ so we thought it will have to be either Eastborne or Ilforcombe we did think of Wales but it will take a time as we dont drive. does anyone know what the beach is like in Eastbourne I am sure I have been there we use to go to Brighton a lot when we had the motor cycle. cannot recall Eastbourne.

I had an email from my Wilesden Local History Society we are losing our meeting hall as the place is going up for sale that building has been there for so many years I went there when I was in the Brownies then my sons went when they were in the Scouts. I took, over a Guide Company and we met there every week.

Time for my tea now.

A Wee Chuckle for the day

William's wife started noticing how forgetful he was becoming.

Being the concerned wife, she convinced him to see a doctor. William was a little worried when the doctor came in. Sensing his patient's nervousness, the first thing the doctor did was to ask what was troubling him.

"Well," William answered. "I seem to be getting forgetful. I'm never sure I can remember where I put the car, or whether I answered a letter, or where I'm going, or what it is I'm going to do once I get there, if I get there. So, I really need your help. What can I do?"

The doctor thought for a moment, then answered in his kindest tone, "Please pay me in advance."

I do hope Jean is feeling better very soon. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

We collected FIL and took him to see his Great Grandson this afternoon. He is doing well, thank you everyone. He is slightly jaundiced so is under the light lamp with little goggles on. H has been expressing her milk and the nurses were giving to him with tube feeding. But this afternoon she tried feeding him herself and apparently all went well. She will try again this evening and be woken every 4 hours to feed him !!!

We will leave visiting again tomorrow for other family and good friends to see them and hopefully they will be allowed home early next week.

More knitting tonight LOL

Enjoy your evening everyone

Rita, you've started me thinking now, I must go into a couple of charity shops and have a good look for craft stuff. You never know I might even find something else that would be worth buying.

Pauline, sorry I haven't forgotten about sending you my photo, but I have to wait until hubby can do it for me. I'll try and get him to send it to you over the weekend.

Stephen, hope you are alright, you seem to have been very quiet lately.

Sending lots of get well wishes to Jean.<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Best wished to you Jean hurry up and get well.

I go into the charity shop and buy books . sallie
you mentioned things for card making, they had a big box on the counter with things for card making. I was surpised. there were a lot of people going thought the box and buying stuff. I think someone must have been card making and given it up.as it was mostly new. from what I could see.?

you can get good buys I go in now and again and buy toys for my Great Grandchildren and save them till I see them..

Hi Stephen not a lot from you. I suppose your missing Marilyn. I think she only went for a week. ?

Hi Pauline so your getting out and about good for you. while the weather is OK it is best to go while you can.

Rita, you did well buying those little gifts at the charity shop, I'm sure that your grt grandson and grandson will love them.

I never think about going in the charity shops to look for things, I know a couple of people that have managed to buy card making stuff from them....I must remember to go in and look next time I want something.

Hello everyone,
I have had a message from Jean's (Jeniwren) daughter. Poor Jean has got pneumonia, and is really poorly girl.
Could we all send her our love and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Brrr it's freezing cold here, and I am not looking forward to going out again in it tonight.
It was bad enough when we went shopping this morning, but it has got colder as the day has worn on.
Take care everyone, stay safe and warm.

Rita

Rita Report 2 Feb 2012 15:53

Sallie
I went for a walk this afternoon it was cold but I was wrapped up only my eyes could be seen. I had to go and collect my steriods from the chemist I posted a letter to the Willesden Local History Socirty then paid my paper bill incase I cannot t get out tomorrow? I walked around the charity shop as it was empty and brought a card with corgia cars on it has a paint brush and four pots of paint so I brought it for one of my Great Grandchildren. then as I was coming out I saw a hip flask brand new stainless steel. it had Jack Daniels old number 7 on it engraved. I saw it was only a £1. I could not beleive that. it is new. so I brought that. thought one of my Grandsons would like that. I am always doing that getting toys and little bargains which I put in a trolley box so I can give the children things when they come over to see. me.

It was cold out but when I got in I had no heating on and it is quiet warm yet my flat is an end terraced one. I bet it will get colder later on this afternoon.

Sending Sebastian lots of hugs and kisses.

Rita, look after that cold and keep warm. It's very cold here today too, I just popped quickly up to town on the bus, got the shopping I needed and caught the next bus back home....far too cold to hang
about.

Hope all our other friends on here are OK. Might pop in again later on.

Take care everyone.
