I'm up early today I have to take Step Mother to the Eye Infirmary for an op.

Pauline about time you popped in I thought you had left us ! now for Shelly to put in an appearance .... :-D
Also I haven't seen Huia for a while I I haven't looked on other threads for her I hope she is well,

Pete.. had cake & candle's yesterday absolutely spoilt a lovely carvery meal, but when the grand children asked how old he was ....it kind of spoilt his day ..LOL

Its a little warmer here in Devon today....we escaped the snow luckily :-S

Now I wrote this early this morning ....but I had to leave it has Pete wanted to go out earlier than was planned :-S...... I have now been to the Eye Infirmary and at home having a late lunch.

Linda great that little Sebastian is home and doing well. Hope mum is getting as much rest as possible.
Almost finished the plasterboarding in our bedroom, its been a busy old week. I twisted my knee while moving the bed on Saturday and definitely heard some kind of "pop". When I got up yesterday it was black and blue and hurts like mad today :-(
Hope all the friendlies are safe, well and warm and those with coughs and colds will soon be feeling better.

I'm pleased to say we didn't get much snow yesterday, just a light covering and it all melted today.

The last couple of days has been really busy for me. Didn't know if I was coming or going half the time.

Just back from seeing Baby.
The weather has eased a little and quite a lot of the snow has melted. Just hope the temperature keeps up and doesn't freeze overnight. It will be like a skating rink if it does.

The baby is lovely, though he seems tiny, his clothes are too big!! I have finally held him and also gave him some expressed milk while we were there. His Mum seems tired but that is to be expected. Our son and his wife came by with lunch for them all.

We came home early while it was still warmer and light.

I had to come on to the computer as my sister booked one of our holidays and I wanted to check the date. here I am checking holidays with a streaming cold. I dont recall having a cold like this for ages. my sister was laughing as I was sneezing like mad on the telephone I told her dont laugh these germs go down the phone and along the telphone lines. lol

I bet you were worried about your horse Yvonne. if you dont have a horse you forget things like that feeding them and seeing to them.. if you had not mentioned it I would not have known how difficult it is for people. who have animals to feed.

Lots of snow in Hertfordshire, I couldn't get my car out of my road this morning so a freind who keeps her horse at the same place as mine said she would give my horse some hay and water, she's got a 4x4.

we have thick snow. I noticed a fox had been around the back of my garden last night. might have been after the little bit of bread and butter pudding I put down for the birds.

Morning all from a snow blanketed Berkshire.
It continued all evening think it's stopped now and is begining to melt slightly. Hubby reacons we had abot 7cm nearly 3 ins.

No we didn't get to our daughters, it was too nasty and we wouldn't have got home. So we left them to settle on their own for the first night.

See how it goes today

well I am still up. but only just my cold has got worse but I think they usually do towards the night time I am going to use some vic on my chest and some obis oil on my handerchief and have some hot lemon when I go to bed to try and sift this

It puts me off doing anything
. we have snow many places seem to be having it as well.? ours started at 6.30 and is still falling but its only about inches thick
my sister keeps calling trying to find a nice hotel in Eastbourne for us to go for a week in June. but some of the feed back are not good.


Happy Birthday to Pete for tomorrow. I will not be rude and ask how old he is. ?lol but I hope he enjoys his special day.

Afternoon all
Well first news is that we have SNOW. Ugh the last thing we need.
Took FIL back to his flat at lunchtime and he treated us to a meal, very nice. We didn't get to the crematorium considering the weather we wanted to get him home. Just as well we did, eh.
Whilst there we had a call from our daughter to say they were going home this afternoon. WOW
We hope to get over this evening, but not sure just now.

Its been raining Cats & Dogs all day long.and very cold, so I stayed in and did some research.
Mo.... that's great finding an unknown relly....you'll have to save yer pennies to go and visit her now ! .

Maddie..... I hadn't realized you were undergoing tests, but glad they are OK see I'm all behind with the news.

Foggy... Your Gorilla really gives me the creeps , he don't look people friendly..LOL...but its nice to pop in on us ,we laddies need our men friends :-D

Haven't seen Dermot lately ...were have you gone ?

I'm going out for dinner tomorrow its Pete s Birthday and our son is taking us out ,so looking forward to that, they always get a cake & candles as the grand children insist on it..LOL

I have been so busy after finding another cousin of mine in Australia.
Her mum was my dads youngest sister, and I had no idea of her existance.
It's been wonderful catching up, and seeing photo's of past family members.

My test results came through on Thursday, and all is ok. Thank goodness for that. I do fret so.

Hazel my cold has got worse. I am sneezing and coughing all the time, very unpleasant. it is too. I am even getting nose bleeds .

The man is coming this morning to do my feet for me otherwise I will be able to swing from the trees. I just hope I dont sneeze when he is cutting my toe nails. lol

Jean hope your on the mend. it is sunny here althought we did have a very heavy frost during the night.
