I know I know your not very far. .

I had my blood test done this morning. so I have to wait till tomorrow or Friday for the results . it didnt rain the sun came out so I stayed dry..
it seems strange how our friendly thread is getting smaller. no one has heard from Agatha ? I wonder what happened to her.? she was going to move and that was the last we heard from her. and Pat where is our Pat. ?

Stephen glad to see your still around. I hope the weather is being kind to you ? way up there in Bonny Scotland.

Morning everyone this is a quicky as I have to go to the surgery for my warfarin blood test this morning at .9.30

I heard from Jean she is still not well and is in bed. it takes a long time to get rid of this flu like virus. I was amazed as I had the flu injection thinking I would not be as bad as I have been ? so it shows you. the injection for flu does not always protect you..

It is grey here and looks like I will be going out in the rain. I know it is selfish. but I hope it does not rain till I have been to the doctors and am home again. .

Actually slept quite well last night. Back in my own bed. Been staying out too often lately.

A quiet dayfor us today. Nothing planned yet.

A Wee Chuckle for the day


A ninety-five year old woman at the nursing home received a visit from one of her fellow church members.

"How are you feeling?" the visitor asked.

"Oh," said the lady, "I'm just worried sick!"

"What are you worried about, dear?" her friend asked.

"You look like you're in good health.

They are taking care of you, aren't they?"

"Yes, they are taking very good care of me." she replied

"Are you in any pain?" she asked.

"No, I have never had a pain in my life."

"Well, what are you worried about?" her friend asked again.

The lady leaned back in her rocking chair and slowly explained her major worry.

"Every close friend I ever had has already died and gone on to heaven.

I'm afraid they're all wondering where I went."

Hello to everyone on the Friendly thread, I haven't been on for a while as I've been busy making birthday and anniversary cards, so haven't had a lot of time.

Jean, it's nice that you feel well enough to post again. Hope you improve each day, I know recovery is slow having had pneumonia myself quite a few years ago.



Rita, also glad to hear that you are feeling better, take care of yourself and don't try and do too much.

How are things with your son, has he heard anything about his operation yet? Hope it will be very soon.



Linda, great to hear that the baby is doing well, it must be such a relief for you all, especially his mum and dad.



Hazel, it's nice that you can spend some time at your daughter's, but as you say it's always nice to have some peace and time to yourself so that you can do the things that you need to do and enjoy doing


George, good to hear that you had lovely weekend away.


Stephen, hope you are OK. Have you managed to do any walking/hiking lately.


Shelley, hope you are able to find the gravestones you are looking for. We found quite a few of my hubby's ancestors in Herefordshire a couple of years ago, but haven't had time to go back there since.

Evening everyone
Well another day helping H. The baby is doing really well. He has been handed over to Health Visitor care from the Midwife as his jaundice is clearing, he is feeding well and gained 3 oz over 4 days. She met up with friends from the NCT parentcraft classes this morning. She is the only one to have had her baby so far. The other 5 are still waiting !!!

We will have our son's cocker spaniel tomorrow evening. How did we ever have time to go to work.?

Shelly can I ask a big favour of you please ? If you see the name PERYER anywhere in your grave search could you take a photo please and let me know. I will send you an e-mail too.

Well I am really glad to see that our poorly friends are improving, Jean Rita and Hazel. Keep getting better

Been to Teris got back last night but they were here for the night. Gone ho0me now, so now got peace again for awhile.

My throat still playing up, But other then that not too bad at mo.

Over last few days have made contract with a rallie in OZ. she is my grandads 4th cusin. I am just looking at my photos i have of him and his family. to send to her. I do have picture of they graves as for her.

George glad you had a great weekend.

Shelly hope you have a dry day tomorrow. I love grave hunting. Hope to go and do some when weather gets better.

well I hope you have luck, when my sister and I went to the little church at Cockington in Devon to find our relations graves they had all been moved due to subsidence we found some plaques on the wall in brass with their names. one of my Great Great Great Great Ganmothers was a Susannah Mullack and it was her Grandmothers estate, but the church is full of their names in brass on the walls everywhere, even a book about the family on sale in the church we found no graves.stones. she was mentioned in her Mother and Grandmothers will. I understood they were setting up a museum about the family have no idea if they have ?

I had a letter saying my pension was going up.(state pension) by a couple of pound in April . today I had a leter for the leaseholders of my flat to tell me my maintence goes up from £184.71 a month to £195.62 increase of 5.91 %. I heard on the news lunchtime on TV tell us the inflation has gone down. some one has made a mistake somewhere along the line.? I wonder if they will open the old workhouses soon for elderly people. ?

I had a lovely day yesterday with my sister, we both bought a few things and we had a good gossip. I've decided to go on a diet cos when I was trying on a pair of jeans I had trouble doing them up!

It is a bit overcaste we were told it would be mild and dry ? I wonder if they are right ?


Shelly thats good that you can find people. I have given up on my tree at the moment one. I have not felt well enough to do anything for a while. aother is the two people I long to find are lost to me forwever I found Great Uncle Walter in the navy traced him through till 1911 when he retired as a Chief petty Officer but can find no other information or if he married he was 39 when hr retired. no death. I found one, sent for the certifiacte but it was a the wrong one.
. the other one is Great Uncle Absolom Lee for seven years I have searched found him in the 1881 census . but nothing after that. and I really have searched. from every part of the world and Britian.even went to Devon at all the records.( that was where they were all born and lived.)
these were my Grandfathers two brothers. today is the anniversary of my Grandfather Fredicks death. . no family left now to ask. so that makes me sad.

well hope you all had a lot of valentine cards today. my daughter in Law Candy's birthday today as well.
