Evening everyone.
Foggy nice to see your still popping in to see everyone I do like that hat you look great in that.
Hi Stephen like you I feel tired I had a busy morning must be something in the water as I cleaned the flat right through. then did some filing. I also made a toad in the Hole and did mash and runner beans . and had some of my Apple crumble afterwards. I did feel tired after I had dinner sat and watched a bit of TV while having a cup of tea.
Hi Pat I did a Spaggi Bol on Saturday for myself. I lay in bed at night thinking what shall I have for dinner tomorrow.?When I stay with my sister we have Italian food .she cooks mostly Italian so I dont normal do anything like that when I am on my own.
What a beautiful day it has been, just like a mid summer day. we could do with more of this.

Evening everyone!
Stephen my sister makes the best spag. bol. When I got to Portsmouth I always have that on the day I arrive :-D
I like the fact that it's mild and dry but I'm still wearing my hat, scarf and mitts. Don't want to go too mad and start taking layers off1

Hi Mo sorry to hear you have a bad cold. there are so many around. I wondered if it was the change in the weather.? It is alovely day for sitting in the garden. cannot sit in mine we have lawns but one of them is subsiding so the chair rocks when you sit down. I take a walk across to the shopping center there are lot of seats there, and a couple of minutes away is the large lake , it is about 1 mile and 1/2 round one side have plenty of benches the other has none I use to walk around the lake twice every day. but have not done so for a while.
The daffs have starfted to come up on the lawn and the back garden is full of bluebells just starting to open ( thats so early )
MY sister emailed me to say she is going to Genoa to an Opera and then going to visit her sister in law and niece. so she will only be away a little while. she said the Daffs are all opening and looks like they will open when I am away.

Hello Rita, It's so lovely in the garden today, that I have been sitting outside for a while. The only trouble is, we have both got stinking colds, and my nose keep running, so I have to keep popping inside for fresh tissues. I didn't realise that there had been R.R problems again. Why cant we all live in harmony I wonder.
Linda, what type of car are you going to be getting? Since we have been retired, I dont get to drive very often, the boss always gets in the driving seat, apart from when he wants a drink that is. lol There would be no point in our having two cars anymore, as we go almost everywhere together.
Cooee Pauline, I am still around, but have not had much news to impart. I hope that Brent is well. Have you started sorting your garden out yet? I did a bit of pruning yesterday, but must pull a few weeds out tomorrow if it's still a nice day. The weather is up to 17 outside, lovely, but it wont last I bet my socks on it.

Morning Linda. Stephen and Pauline, I like the chuckle for the day Stephen a lot of that refers to me. my complaints lol
My sister worries about me not being able to walk far without getting breathless. I said I am ok if I have a rest after a while but I use to walk very fast and people always remarked on it some said are you going somewhere in a hurry > but I cannot climb hills as I use to do.
Pauline there are many people not coming on the thread. I wondered if they had all gone to facebook instead.? I notice some threads are being deleted by GR or they get out of hand I wonder if that puts people off going onto this site. ? I tried to go onto "I Need hug " Izzys yesterday and it only goes up to 136. you cannot get any further.
Linda your be up early now then and off to Heathrow. my sister leaves early when she flies off to her sons and she lives in Hampstead not that far from heathrow.
She is flying off to Genoa on Monday early morning flight for a week. she will call and see her sister in Laws while there. she has not seen them for 8 years.
Think I better make some toast and have another cup of tea.
Have a good day.
and Good Morning to all the late comers . Wakey Wakey.

Morning All, Cath, Stephen and Pauline are already up. We were out at 6 this morning taking our son and his wife to Heayhrow to catch a flight to New York. All prepared for freezing cold !!! Forecast now for 14C. On our journey there it was already 14C at 7:00. Saw my Mum yesterday and she seemed OK though not on the lounge she was in her room. I took an album of photos for her, old ones of her Mum and sisters some of her as a child, lots of her children growing up, then wedding pictures and then her grandchildren all 13 of them. Finally I printed a dozen pictures of her Great Grandson which she seemed to like. After we went to friends for dinner, which was nice.
Today we are busy, trading 2 cars for one newer one. Have to ensure we remove all our personal items and tax discs too. Should all be done by lunchtime.
Have a good day everyone

Morning all, very dark again today but it seems milder.
How many people have we got on the missing list? Pat, Maddie, Mo, Foggy, Agatha, and the last couple of days......... Linda, Jean, Salllie, Shelly, George and Yvonne.
Think it would have been easier to list the people who HAVE been here the last couple of days......... Rita, Hazel, Cath, Stephen and Marilyn.
Stephen, can you give us a list of things that are good about old age, please? :-) :-) :-)
Lovely photo Hazel, they look so cute.
I bet Linda can't wait to get her first babysitting job with her grandson.
Have a good day everyone.

A Wee Chuckle for the day
New Alphabet
A is for apple, and B is for boat, That used to be right, but now it won't float!
Age before beauty is what we once said, But let's be a bit more realistic instead.
Now the Alphabet:
A's for arthritis; B's the bad back, C's the chest pains, perhaps car-d-iac? D is for dental decay and decline, E is for eyesight, can't read that top line! F is for fissures and fluid retention, G is for gas which I'd rather not mention. H . high blood pressure--I'd rather it low; I . for incisions with scars you can show. J is for joints, out of socket, won't mend, K is for knees that crack when they bend. L 's for libido, what happened to sex? M is for memory, I forget what comes next. N is neuralgia, in nerves way down low; O is for osteo, bones that don't grow! P for prescriptions, I have quite a few, just give me a pill and I'll be good as new! Q is for queasy, is it fatal or flu? R is for reflux, one meal turns to two. S is for sleepless nights, counting my fears, T is for Tinnitus; bells in my ears! U is for urinary; troubles with flow; V for vertigo, that's 'dizzy,' you know. W for worry, NOW what's going 'round? X is for X ray, and what might be found. Y for another year I'm left here behind, Z is for zest I still have-- in my mind.

Hi Stephen and Marilyn. I got my Devon Historian Mag last saturday Marilyn. it makes me smile as you are always away when that comes.
Stephen your so lucky to be able to walk and climb I will think of you climbing this weekend and hope your weather stays dry for you. do you go on your own ? I allways think it is risky if you climb alone. I have climbed or should say walked up the mountains in Wales when I was younger.
no George or Foggy for a few days wonder what they are up too. ?
off to bed soon when I have had my Horlicks .I lay and read for a while.

Evening All !
Looks like a Search party is in order to find all the missing Friendly Folk that are adrift..........WHERE ARE YOU ALL ? :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S
I'm off to the Hills this weekend. It's a yearly Pilgrimage. I camp beside the burn and the next day climb a lovely hill called Buchaille Etive Mor. I used to go with friends but I'm the only one left alive from the group. I'll have a lovely Malt Whisky and drink to their memory. And place a stone on the summit cairn. I'll keep doing this each year until my wee legs can't carry me.
Hope this finds you all well :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
