My goodness must be a lot of wet beds this morning all these people up early.(my grandmother use to say "Did you wet your bed " when we got up early.) she came from Shropshire so I dont know if that is a saying up there ? or just Grandmothers
Firstly Stephen glad you had a good rest and recalled happy memories.on your retreat over the weekend,
We have lots of Daffs out on the lawns they grown in the grass and look lovely I also still have snowdrops out and the Hydrangers are all in bud how strange is that.? I noticed two Crocus out yesterday in my little bit of garden.and the bluebell leaves are well up. so it will soon be like a blue carpet and the smell is wonderful.
Linda hope things go well at the clinic it is hard getting the weight off. I have steriods and the doctor said while I am on those it will be hard for me to get my weight down. but I have to stay on them. so thats a big help.
Pauline your up towards the north so I suppose it is colder there than down south ? but the climate has gone all over the place this last two years. yellow roses at Christmas. I even had geriums out up till last month.
Mo hope Jason is getting on OK. keep us informed how he is getting on please.
well time for a shower . I have the eye hospital this morning. fingers crossed things have not got any worse.
Morning everyone else.

Morning everyone.
It's the same here Stephen, can't believe it's so warm at this time of year. Our daffs aren't in flower yet but we do have some buds on them. The frogs have spawned early this year........... they're about a month early.
Can't believe how hot it is............ maybe I'm having a flush!!
Hope your son is on the mend Mo.
Have a nice day everyone.
Edit: Just seen your ditty Stephen............. very good :-D :-D

Morning All !
It's so mild I think I've been transported to the Tropics :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S
My daffodils are well out now and that is the earliest I have ever known that to happen.....totally confused :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S
Jean, My little jaunt to the mountains went well. I enjoy sleeping by the river and listening to the sound as I drift off to sleep. Although there have been times when the river and even the waterfall have been frozen solid when I've been there. The tranquility of the spot that I go to is fantastic. The deer come very close during the Winter.....they are always scrounging food. It was a bit cloudy so I didn't see many stars this time. The snow was deep in places on the hill so I kept away from potential avalanche slopes. Another lovely wee trip. And I'm not ashamed to say I shed a few tears for my absent friends . It was a good excuse to down a nice big Malt Whisky to toast to their memory.
Another busy day ahead. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Have a good day ya all !
Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Evening all Busy day today. Gym first thing. Then over to daughters for lunch, before a walk with her, me with baby in a sling !!! Memories of when she was born nearly 33 years ago. We had the dog too. Back home in time for me to go to WW. Well surprise I lost 2lb, didn't think I'd done that. The plan really does have me eating more than I used to, obviously I wasn't eating enough before LOL Just had dinner, hubby now snoozing in his chair. I will finish a little cardigan this evening, just need the front bands and buttons.
Sleep well my friends. I hope your son is a little better today Mo. Still thinking of you all.

evening all Marilyn we all kicked up a fuss about the big increase in the maintence fees it wiped out our Old age pension raise they deceided not to increase it this year and so it stays the same .but it will go up next year, , It was the first meeting I have been to in 8 years of living here that a row was not going on . . that must be an all time record.? one of my neighbours said a few words but was very quiet (he is the retired Professor from Cambridge) he said is it al right if I sit next to you. I said no take a seat. I said to him your safe I am not going to cause any trouble.which made him smile. George it is very kind of you to look for me but that Abslom Lee was born the same time as my Great Uncle Absalom but he was born in Reading I traced him, right through the census. quiet a few people on Ancestry have my Absalom on their list but they have mostly come off mine. I have relations dotted all over the world it is really hard going when you are stuck for years and have no way of moving forward or backwards looking for someone,he just vanished without trace. One of my relations is an archivist in Devon and she searched and found nothing infact she emails me for information on my family when someone abroad get intouch with her looking for one off my tree roots,. she keeps looking for my Great Uncle. it is the not knowing what happened to him that drives me on.

Hi Rita,
There is on the 1891 census for west Ham a Absalom Lee born 1871 who is a boarder there. It gives his birth place as Reading, but that could be an error, just a thought.
Also quite a few trees on Ancestry with him on.
George :-) :-) :-)

Evening everyone.
Mo, I'm shocked to see what happened to your son, he's so young to have that problem. I hope his youth and strength help him to make a full recovery. When will he be home?
Lovely photo Linda, he's so gorgeous.
Thanks for the photo Marilyn, you look a picture of health.
George, are you going to get a better dressed avatar now that you have a woman to smarten you up?
Hope you enjoyed the Portsmouth meet Foggy, are you really teetotal?
Stephen, didn't know you'd been on your little trip again, that year went over very quickly.
Rita, I think we've all had a go at trying to find your Absalom, one of these days someone might be able to find out what happened to him.
~~~~~~~~~~ to everyone. I'm going to forward some of my emails now.
George I already have that one. I have him up to and including 1881 census as I said in my PM to you. I have not been able to find him after that., not in any of the census up to and including 1911. I did a search on imigration to all countries. found nothing tried froces found nothing. I can only think he must have died in and accident ? but if so why is there no death certificate for him? it is a real mystery HIs brother Walter I did a search and some kind lady from DFHS emailed me and said she had found him. he had been in the Royal Navy joined as a lad and worked his way up to a first class Petty officer. I was so lucky I got all his records from the time he joined till 1911 when he retired. but found nothing after that. I thought perhaps Absalom had joined as well but found no records of him joining the RN Thank you for your help, that was kind of you.
My husband and I use to row over buying new clothes he hated to go out and buy then. . he was alright if we were out and he saw something he liked . but to go out with the idea of buying something that was a no no. I am like that now.
I use to buy him clothes for his birthday and Christmas he always liked what I brought. so he had many shirts and jumpers and underwear.
I am getting my self sorted now as I need some breakfast before I go off to our AGM meeting. it goes on for ever when people bring subjects up, that could be sorted without it being brought up at a meeting. still its a free country or is it ? lol
