It is a chilly one here in Surrey. I feel so tired this morning had trouble sleeping last night it was early hours of the morning before I nodded off.

Linda it is my Grandson Daniels 28th Birthday today
I can still see him in his little cot just after he was born. goodness how time flies.

I have 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren no I dont feel old.

well maybe a little.

Well one more pound down. Quite pleased with that as it was a sociable weekend past,
Son in laws birthday today so another shared meal.

Did a little knitting last night. Our daughter says the baby is getting too big for some of his cardigans. So asked for the one I'd just finished which was bigger and due to go in my special box.

Well my friends we are hopefully going to be grandparents again as my son and d I L are expecting in September !! Babies now seem like buses you wait for nearly 6 years then they all come along together LOL. So loads more knitting needed.

Frosty here as I have seen neighbours scrapeing their cars. Thank goodness we no longer get up at 5:00 in the morning since hubby retired nearly 6 months ago.

Had lunch then went for a drive in the countryside, ended up at Basildon Park (NT) near Reading. Nice cuppa in the tea rooms then got a book about the New Forest 100 years in photos. Good reading and looking for tonight after WW. Always wonder if I will see any of hubby's relatives in the old pics.

I seem to be getting into GR unlike all of you.....perhaps I have specials communication skills ..LOL

Going out shopping for food today . ....and wine gosh nearly forgot that ..

Pauline how strange was that, you see you never know who you are speaking to. ?someone once was going off about an in law of mine I didnt like to say thats one of my family till she had finished. then I said I will tell her I met you . I am seeing her next week yoiu should have see this womens face.

Haven't been on GR for a couple of days because I've been helping someone with their tree.

A strange thing happened......... spent 2 days searching and sending notes back and forward to someone about his wife's ancestors and then found out the man I was 'talking' to was a friend of my husband's brother.

Felt a bit strange when the man (who I'd never met) suddenly told me he knew my maiden name and knew who I was married to. :-0 :-0

Then when I saw what had happened on TV I cried at those poor people who lost everything. It must have been very frightening for them.

Damp and miserable here this morning.
Had a lovely time yesterday at our daughter's. Lots of friends and family came to their welcome to the world party, instead of the planned baby shower. He was as good as gold and was passed around like a parcel. So many gifts and his Mum was amazed at how generous extended family and friends have been. I took gifts from a good friend of mine and a koala bear from my penfriend in Australia, which had only arrived in the post that morning !!!
I've already done some washing this morning, but it won't be hung outside as it is now raining quite heavily.
Veg prepared for this evening. We are cooking an italian chicken dish with roasted veg and roast potatoes too. Probably eton mess and apple struddle for pud(which I already had in the freezer)
