Morning folks, Still foggy here :-( Rita I love the mournful sound of the foghorn when I'm laying in bed at night. Mo I do hope the doctors get your sons notes soon and start any treatment he needs. Surely they could have faxed or emailed his notes to his GP by now. Pauline sorry you're under the weather, get well soon :-) Almost finished our bedroom, just need to hang 2 doors on the new airing cupboard and blinds at the windows. Its been a long job and I'll be glad when its done. Off to work in a mo, hope everyone has a nice day, <3 <3 <3

Pauline I am sorry you are not well these viruses are going about now . so many people are getting them .and they linger along while. you take care of yourself. lets hope Brent does not get it.
Mo it is good to hear that your son has been signed off by the doctors but I hope he is being treated. ? it is not the sort of thing you can say your fine and leave it. he wil have to take care of hiself now. bless him.
what is the date of the meet ? I hope you all have a good time. and all behave yourselves.
Linda our fog was dense I am not kidding it was like the old smog we had in London in 1940.s but I dont know when it started it was clearing around 9 and then we got the sunshine but you could still smell the fog Often if you have a lake or fields near you, you get this type of fog we have a big lake across from me and a canal at the back., I hope we dont get this too often.
I have started to put weight on again, The doctor told me this happens when your on steriod. . ? myself I think it is old age and not being able to do a lot of walking like I use to. I feel so tired all the time.I dont sleep well at night either.

Evening all Mo I am sorry your son isn't getting far with his Drs, why does it take so long to send things it should be so easy with computers. Pauline I hope you feel better soon. Nasty bugs around this year seem to knock people for six. Is Brent OK, I hope so? Marilyn come back soon bring some sunshine with warmth in your case please. George glad you had a good few days. Cath and Rita when did your fog clear? Ours hung around til nearly lunch time. Well we did get to the gym. Lunch was nice and lots of talking, haven't seen each other since before Christmas. I had salad and fishcakes. No Chips No Alchohol, just diet coke.
Result even with 2 meals out and 2 birthday celebrations too I managed to loose a tiny bit half a pound...... LOL but at least it wasn't up!!
Have a nice evening

Update on my son, as promised Cath. The doctor has signed him off again. J has got to phone Scotland to chase up his results. How daft is this, when they could have given everything to him to bring back home with him. Oooh I am spitting bullets. See you tomorrow.

Hi all.
I've missed a few days because I haven't been well, got a chest infection, a throat infection and a cold......... as well as a headache.
Jean, sorry I missed wishing Scarlett a happy birthday............ I was flat out on Saturday. Sounds like she had a great party though, you've got a year to get over it now. :-) :-)
Mo, I'm pleased to see your son is back home safe and sound......... let's hope he has no more problems.
It's been lovely and sunny here today but I haven't been out because I can't stop coughing............ just sitting with a box of tissues, feeling sorry for myself. :-( :-(

Oh what a shame Marilyn, it would have been sooo nice to have met you. And yes we will miss your presence, and I will get Maddie to have a G+T for you, if not that then something else.
Rita, the cousin I have found, is younger than myself, and the other cousins in Australia, and she has amazed us all. She was a very lucky girl, as her mum told her the whole background of our family. This Aunt, only passed away in 2005, and was my dads youngest sister. What a shame I found them just a few years to late, as I would have loved to have met her.
Cath, my son is at the doctors at this very moment. The doc signed him off last week, and I dare say he will do this week as well. As far as I know, the results of the tests he had done in Scotland have yet to arrive at the doctors down here. But thank you for asking after him, I will let you know as soon as I have any info.
It has turned really cold here today, and we have had to put the fire back on. I dont know where the heat wave that was forecast has got to, I bet they sent it over to Marilyn. lol
Off to start dinner now. byeee

I was so surprised when I looked out the bedroom window at 7 this morning only to find I could see nothing it was thick fog. it is going now thank goodness. I noticed I have two Hycinths out one white and one blue. I wonder if they popped up to see if the fog had cleared and stayed up.?
Mo it is surprising what you find out in a family when that person who know all these things . is not close to the family but maybe a neice or cousin? and he or she know so much. With me, I explained things to my cousins they never knew about their Grandfather and their own Father.they were shocked at what their Grandfather and Father went through. the reason I knew was I am a lot older than they are. it made them see things in a different light. Your Grandfather must have gone through hell in the Japanese camp one of my family was in one and it is too awflull to tell you how when he came back.the condition he was in.
Cath I miss that now, the Fog Horn going when I lived in Norfolk on the coast I heard all that .Helicopters off to look for people on the sea, maroon going off for the life boat to go out to save some poor sole in trouble.
Have a good day.

Hellooooo, yes it's me. My ears were burning, so I thought I would pop in to say hello to you. I play a lot of games on Face Book Rita. I have become addicted to quite a few of them. I like to keep my brain active by playing games that are the equivalent to Scrabble, and some days I play well, and others I play rubbish. lol
Hi there Marilyn, when are you coming home again. All that heat cant be good for you.....(says she, green with envy). If you are back before the 31st of the month, perhaps you could come to the Victoria meet. It would be so nice to meet you in person.
I know what it's like when family members decide not to talk about other family members. If only my parents had been more forthcoming, I would have found family members in Australia a long time ago. It seems that all my family history, came from one side of the family. And my fathers side, who I have since found, and have contact with, seem to have been forgotten by him. It takes something, when a cousin in OZ, can tell me things about my grandfather, and my father, that I knew nothing off. It's been so eye opening, finding out that grandfather was captured by the Japanese, and held prisoner of war. He got T.B in the P of War Camp, and became blind. Oooh so many other things I didn't know about as well.
I do hope everyone is well, and enjoying our lovely weather. Lets hope we have quite a few more days of it to come. Take care all. Love Mo

Hello Linda It is sad isnt it when your parents close the door when something has hurt them so deeply.like the loss of a child. ? It was never mention in our house. My parents never complained about being so poor either. they were so close. It must have been hard for your parents to lose a son aged 22 . my sister lost her son aged 21 in an accident in Italy. she didnt go to church for along while afterwards. but eventually she did and goes often. never misses Wednesdays mass and Sundays even when we have been abroad she has found the nearest Cathlic church and gone on a Sunday.
So I can image how your parents must have felt.
I hope you have a good day with your son.
Marilyn all that heat, it is a wonder you dont melt. lol I am pleased you enjoyed the shrimp festival makes a change youy dont often get those. ? I have seen Mo on Face Book , infact I have seen a few on Face Book.
have a good day.
