Afternoon everyone, beautiful sunny weather we're having.......... but still a bit cold.

I can't sit at my computer much at the moment because I've got a hernia (maybe 3) on my spine and it's trapped my sciatic nerve. It's very painful trying to sit for more than a couple of minutes. Can't stand for long either. The doctor said I need an operation but I want to try other things first. I'm seeing a chiropractor ever other day at the moment to see if I can get rid of some of the pain.

I know it's Jean's birthday today so just looked in to say...

Hope everyone's keeping well, haven't read any of the thread.

we knew today was the first day of spring.. what a lovely day warm and sunny and flowers begining to open. the leaves on the trees are showing buds on them ready for the flowering to start.
I love England when it is spring time and the flowers all open and the trees turn lovely colours,.

Marilyn My passport will run out this year in a few months time, I dont use it as much as I did, but I thought I had better renew it as Sheila said she would like to go to Southern Ireland and I didnt want to get caught out. speaking to a friend John he went over to Gurynsey and said he didnt have a passport for that but had to prodcue his driving licence.. I have never heard of that. I know we didnt have to show our passport when we went. but it would worry me incase they stopped me getting on the ship..
Anyway I have to wait now for the form to arrived from the passport office and get my pohoto taken in one of the booths. I have two that was done for my bus pass but my son said better have it done incase.

I think thei Friendly thread is the worse for trying to get onto. always get sorry error coming up. nnot very Friendly are they.?

Rita ....I think you'll need your passport ONLY for security reasons for Southern Ireland.

Well I'm home soooooooooooon travel on Wednesday home on Thursday, sorry to leave such sunny weather ,but I really love my home so I want my lovely bath back and a good old soak !! showers are OK in the heat ,but a bath is another story ..LOL

I need to see all my spring flowers, cant wait as my prize Rhododendron may soon be out ....Oh I love my Rhododendron...its bright flaming RED !!

I have looked at the forecast for Thursday in Devon and it looks good for my return.

I'm packing & cleaning all day today ....so I'm a Bizzy Bee :-D

Good news at the Drs with the Diabetic Nurse as my sugar level has actually decreased over the last 3 months. My feet are fine. So another check in 5 months other than a urine test when I can get it to the Dr, Just need to try to drop the weight and up the activity.
Decorating finished, I didn't do it this time Rita, we had a man in. The outside does look good though.
Been out in the garden pruning and tidying.

Might persuade hubby to take me to a garden centre a bit later, certainly don't want to go at weekends now we don't have to.

Cath it is Southern Ireland not Northern Ireland, I know the pass port is Great Britian and Northern Ireland. so it will not cover Southern Ireland. I have down loaded a form so I can fill it in and send it off with my photo and the money ,but I will do it through the post office.

George I love having fish and chips at the seaside. it makes it special. I go to Portsmouth alot as I am not that far away about 1 hour and my sister and I always go the Fish and Chip shop near the Docks. nothing better than sitting on the seat having fish and chips out of a carboard tray and looking out to sea ( on a good day of course )

No I am not going to the meet I wish I was?. but I have an appointment on that day and it is hard for me to get to, I have to get a bus and the train to Waterloo then bus from there,. I hope it all goes well and look forward to hearing what they get up too. ?

Happy Birthday to Jean Hope you have a lovely day. And that the weather is good too.

Went to WW I gained half a pound this week, too many meals out and celebrations I think. So stick by the rules this week.

Baby Grandson has also been weighed today and he gained twelve and a half ounces this week, much happier Mummy!!! He has been on baby gaviscon which must be working and he is keeping the milk down much better.

Outside house painting nearly finished. We will be able to go out when we want again.

Hi George you are certainly getting about these days. did you go for a dip in the sea while in Bournemouth ? I went there last year, nice sands but dont like those hills.

everyone seem to be out sun bathing today. as the board has been very quiet. ? mind you it could be we are having trouble once again with this friendly thread. it is beyoung belief that they cannot sort this thread out.
it makes you feel really down when you want to leave a message or wish someone well and cannot get onto the site.
