Morning everyone, lovely day here, very sunny and quite warm. Hope you all had a restful night.
Got on here first try this morning, maybe things have been fixed, or am I being too optimistic?
Think it will be a day in the garden for Scarlett and I, lots of work still to do in there.
Have a good day, take care and stay safe. Jean xx :-) :-) :-)

I am sorry I will miss the meet, perhaps I will make the next one. I hope Foggy enjoys the meet George seems to think he will. Wend I was looking forward to seeing all these people faces that I only know by the boards.
Sue good to see you back on the threads again by the way Happy Birthday for yesterday (27th March)
I had a lovely day yesterday with my sister she arrived an hour earlier she said she caught all her connections which made a big difference being able to do that as she has two buses a train then another bus to get to me.
she kept on at me to see the doctor she thinks I am too pale.
My Nephew got back to Washington safetly he said it had been the first time in years he had been over here and had such lovely weather. he spent the day in Bath somerset with my sister, and went to Winchester to go on a tour of the catherdral .
Have a good day. I will try and read all the other remarks on here later and get back. Rita :-)

A Wee Chuckle for the day
You are in the middle of some kind of project around the house... ...Mowing the lawn, putting in a new fence, painting the living room or whatever. You are hot and sweaty, covered in dust, lawn clippings, dirt or paint. You have your old work clothes on. You know the outfit -- shorts with the hole in the crotch, old T-shirt with a stain from who-knows-what and an old pair of tennis shoes. Right in the middle of this great home improvement project you realize you need to run to Home Depot to get something to help complete the job.
Depending on your age you might do the following:
In your 20's: Stop what you are doing. Shave, take a shower, blow dry your hair, brush your teeth, floss and put on clean clothes. Check yourself in the mirror and flex. Add a dab of your favorite cologne because you never know, you just might meet some hot chick while standing in the checkout lane. And you went to school with the pretty girl running the register.
In your 30's: Stop what you are doing, put on clean shorts and shirt. Change shoes. You married the hot chick so no need for much else. Wash your hands and comb your hair. Check yourself in the mirror. Still got it. Add a shot of your favorite cologne to cover the smell. The cute girl running the register is the kid sister to someone you went to school with.
In your 40's: Stop what you are doing. Put on a sweatshirt that is long enough to cover the hole in the crotch of your shorts. Put on different shoes and a hat. Wash your hands. Your bottle of Brute Cologne is almost empty so you don't want to waste any of it on a trip to Home Depot. Check yourself in the mirror and do more sucking in than flexing. The hot young thing running the register is your daughter's age and you feel weird thinking she is spicy.
In your 50's: Stop what you are doing. Put a hat on, wipe the dirt off your hands onto your shirt. Change shoes because you don't want to get dog doo-doo in your new sports car. Check yourself in the mirror and you swear not to wear that shirt anymore because it makes you look fat. The Cutie running the register smiles when she sees you coming and you think you still have it. Then you remember the hat you have on is from Bubba's Bait & Beer Bar and it says, 'I Got Worms .'
In your 60's: Stop what you are doing. No need for a hat anymore.. Hose the dog doo-doo off your shoes. The mirror was shattered when you were in your 50's. You hope you have underwear on so nothing hangs out the hole in your pants. The girl running the register may be cute, but you don't have your glasses on so you are not sure.
In your 70's: Stop what you are doing. Wait to go to Home Depot until the drug store has your prescriptions ready, too. Don't even notice the dog doo-doo on your shoes. The young thing at the register smiles at you because you remind her of her grandfather.
In your 80's: Stop what you are doing. Start again. Then stop again. Now you remember you need to go to Home Depot. Go to Wal-Mart instead and wander around trying to think what it is you are looking for. Fart out loud and you think someone called out your name. You went to school with the old lady who greeted you at the front door.
In your 90's & beyond: What's a home deep hoe? Something for my garden? Where am I? Who am I? Why am I reading this? Did I send it? Did you?

Morning friendlies, been stuck in bed since sunday evening with flu. :-( :-( :-( I honestly feel like I've been steamrollered. Aching joints, high temperature, sore throat and ears, banging headache and now a tight chest and dry cough. Going to doc this morning. Hoping for a quick fix as I have a lot to do before we go away and also want to feel well on holiday. Shelly many congratulations on the arrival of your new grandson, bet he's gorgeous :-D Stephen sorry Mrs Stephen is still unwell, I'm sure you are taking good care of her. Rita hope you feel better soon too. <3 <3 <3 to all the friendlies,
Cath xx

Hoo flippin ray, I have managed to get on here at long last. I know that I am on a laptop that I am not used to, and it does as it pleases, but I am really peed off with being unable to get on here. Have been able to read the thread but unable to add,as this thread is sooo long now,it would only allow me to get to the early pages, up to 900 odd,and no further.
Cooee Sue, are you going to stay with us for a while now, purleeze.
Shelly, it must be near the time for you to renew your membership on here. Mine was done the other day, before my laptop went in for repairs. Nice of them to inform me that they had taken the money, via an e.mail, but I was cheesed off when I couldn't access something I had already paid for.lol Congratulations on the new baby Shelly. Another christmas present to buy now.
What a shame you are unable to make the meet Rita, but your health must come first.
Marilyn, we have already been camping in the field behind you, and the cows mooing, and roosters cocka doodle dooing, woke us up to early. We wanted breakfast in bed, with our newspapers ironed, and our baths run for us, but......alas it didnt happen, so I think we may have to pass on the invitation this time, and hope and pray that one day you will make it to one of the meets. lol luva ya hun mwah.
Hi George, I hope you are behavin yourself. It sounds like you get out and about most days now, enjoying the sunshine. Good on yer matey.
Hello Linda, hows the baby doing. I bet he's getting big now, bless him. I see that you have been busy with your knitting needles again. There are a lot of little babies who are so lucky to have a kind caring person, looking out for their well being.
Wend, not long now till the meet. I hope to be able to get a train at about eleven, that should arrive in Victoria at about twelve at the latest. See you there, with me raffle prize in me bag. Just hope I dont get mugged for it, or someone will miss out on a nice tipple. lol
Has anyone heard how Pauline is now? I hope Mrs Stephen starts to feel better soon as well.
Right I have to go now, heres hoping I can back here tomorrow, but if I can't, you will all know I am thinking of you. Byeeee

I'm having to take my Dad shopping this afternoon in his favourite shop Asd* for his whisky......
Its glorious today again........did all my planting of seeds, but may have been far too early as MAY has not been and gone yet ! Oh well they were only cheap packets of seeds bought back from USA.
Rita I am home now until June, I noticed you asked on thread, then off to Alaska.
My son moves into his new house tomorrow, so I have to go and give a hand moving in ,isn't it lovely to smell a new house where everything is brand new !!
I hope Shelly sends us a Photo of the new baby soon......are you looking in Shelly ?
