Hello Rita,

that must have been brilliant to find stuff with the metal detector, I was amazed how much I enjoyed it, can see why foggs does it.

The guy at the museum said there is probably a settlement near by and that Winchester is full of Roman sites.

Told us to log everything we find and where, but they were already doing that :-) :-)

That was lovely to hear about the dig. my family have always laughed at me . as I am also into that. I use to go to Horsenden Hill near where we lived and walk along with a metal dector I found victorian bottle tops ( tin ) and old broken pottery my bigest find was a Romeman coin with reef around the head. it had been made with a hammer I also found a small wedding ring.

We had a Cabin Crusier which we shared with my son ( costs ) and used to go Friday night till sunday every week on the Thames near Halyford.. my children would arrive with their families and we have a lovely time

The times they were not there my son and husband spent fishing while I walked the embanckment with my metal dector. I found lots of small things as it had been a tip during the Victorian times so you got really old bottle tops as well as broken jewelery. My husband use to say I went into the wrong Job when I left school.

I took the metal dector to Norfolk when I moved. I gave it to one of my Grandsons.

Evening all,

Today I have surprised myself, I have been over at the old boys neighbors helping out with a dig :-D :-D :-D
A few weeks ago the old boys neighbour was digging his back garden where his fence meets the fields, when he started digging up lots of broken pottery, he asked foggs because hes into all the archaeology nonsense, and foggs told him he thought it was Roman.
They took some to Winchester museum and it turned out to be 1st. century samian ware.( think that what foggs called it ).
Today I was picked up by foggs and went to help out, foung a pottery oil lamp, only a small thing and broken, but it was brilliant finding it.
Foggs unearthed a spoon with a rams head on it, that was wicked. again after taking them to the museum the guy said 1st. century.

Dont laugh, I know its being an anorak, but it was brilliant :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D. had a cracking time :-D :-D move over time team :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I look back to see what I have done wrong in the past to get all this trouble on us. ? but I cannot think of anything I have ever done that is bad all those suffering have always been kind and helped people without being asked.it annoys me that evil people go along with nothing happening to them.. I know it is unkind to think that way.

My son said he had to fill in his daughters form for university. he said she will need aloan towards the fees. and she said she will sell her car, as she will be away mostly.so she will save Insurance and MOT;s and Road Tax.
It is a shame when young people want to get on and study for a career and has all the worry of fees.as well as exams.
But she wants to be a teacher so she has to do her degree.
My son said I suppose it will be his other daughter next in two years time fees for university.
He has his eye operation next month to save his sight.so we have more worry.He does not say much but is worried about it.

I am staying in today as in alot of pain with my hip. Went to doctors and i have a inflamed hip bone :-( On more pain killers. It hurts to sit stand and walk :-(

Yes its very nice here to Marilyn so at least it looks nice out anyway. I am hoping that marriage cert will be here today, i will let you know what it has on it.

Rita.....you have had one hell of a year ....cant think why it should all happen to you ,just hope that all misery ends soon for you all, and start living a normal life,my goodness you all deserve it.

I have my sister staying with me for a week today,that will cheer her up as she was a young widow,and gets very lonely.......so I'm here to cheer her up !!

Its once again beautiful here , cant believe the weather,but they do say its not going to last :-S.

its my sons birthday today and I can vividly remember giving birth to that one like it was yesterday !! LOL
They say you forget ....but not this one as I had back ache labour BIG time !

since I moved here 8 years ago, things have not gone very well . at all.with the family.
I often wondered if I should have stayed in Norfolk , ? but it would have made no difference these things. would still have happened , and I would have been too far away to help.or visit.

Now I will say good morning to all my friendly friends..I hope your all feeling well, and enjoying this good weather whiie it lasts..
I suppose the boot sales and fetes will soon start up. I think they usually do about Easter Time
Not going anywhere today, thought I would change the bed and wash the sheets etc. very exciting.

Life always seems to give us more kicks up the backside than we need. Thank you Cath. I get good days and bad. I really should go and see my doctor but I keep putting it off as I seem to spend so much time at dcotors the hospital and having blood tests done.

I have so much family illness at the moment as well ? which makes it even worse. I wish someone up there would show a little mercy to my family.

Been out all day just back
Went into Windsor, saw changing of the guards....... at least the soldiers marching up, so smart, I refuse to pay to go into the grounds.
Got myself a new lipstick as I'd just about run the old one out !!!! Then we went on a boat trip with French Brothers, they've been there years. Quite a lot of people about. Then we had lunch in a Thai restaurant. I had King Prawns and rice. Hubby had Green thai curry with chicken. After we stopped in The Great Park sat in the beautiful sun and he read while I crocheted some more tiny blankets.

Marilyn enjoy the sun, think it's going to turn cooler around the weekend. Bound to rain.......... hosepipe ban and we have the spaniel too.

My son in law who had an op for stomack cancer is clear but he has got them all worrying now why his markers are up so hight 200 not good.? needs another PET SCAN has that done in June.
then I get an email from my son who had Kidney cancer he got called back as he now has a tumor on his lung.they dont want to operate he has to go back fro an x-ray to see what has happened.?

I go for my scan on Monday.to see how mine is now.

Good news was Megan is looking better and she said she is feeling better. so maybe out of hospital Thurday or Friday ?

I said to my sister no wonder I am never well these days too much worry.

A Nice thing that happened was a friend scross from me brought me an East Egg, I thought that so kind of her. she said as I had not been well she wanted to cheer me up.

Awwh .......babies are lovely and fresh aren't they ...LOL

Shelly I can hardly see him....its too tiny , but as you have got problems with your Lappy I'll accept it LOL.

Maybe as he get a couple of months old we will have another .. :-D

Its so gorgeous out in the garden ,I had a G& T ...Pete had a beer,blimey it felt like August.

I've got different hours at the shop now, we've got a new manager and he's been changing everyones shifts around, I start earlier on a Wednesday and Friday and I'll be working Saturdays soon, at least I'll be getting more money.
