Morning Sue and all others Bit overcast here this morning Did lots of gardening yesterday, then some ironing before friends came to dinner. Oh I forgot the shopping, inevitable I guess
I have been back to the Dr again !! Blasted labyrintitis. More tablets, just see if it goes. If it doesn't or it comes back more frequently then possibly get refered to an ENT specialist for manipulation. I just wish it would go away.
I hope things are improving for Rita and good luck with your checks on Monday.
George you must be excited when you find items on a "dig". I only find concrete and bricks in my garden LOL

Morning. It is a grey day this morning, but dry at the moment. Sue you may have made the tea but it would have been nice to have had it in bed. One thing I enjoy is when I go and stay with my family is a cup of tea in bed in the mornings.. I was spoilt when I was married as my husband use to make me tea and bring it to the bedroom for me. If I went to get up to make the tea he would say " stay where you are I will make tea." but I dont like eating when I am in bed.no toast or egg unless I am unable to get up because I am unwell.
Well looks like the Meet people will have a wet journey to London today. but the laughs and jokes should make up for that.
I hope you all have a good day today.

Morning a lovely morning once again. makes you feel better just seeing the sun, hope everyone is feeling good ?
My Great Granddaughter Megan came home from the hospital last night. so that is one piece of good news.
Morning Stephen and Cath. seems we were first on this morning.
Stephen our boats grew we started with four canoes used on the Canal.then we had a small boat named "Hobo." then a small cabin boat named" Caroline "from there we went to the " Flake" a two cabin but slept four people it changed names when on the Sea but had to use the Flake when on the Thames. we sold it when we moved to Norfolk.; very expensive running a boat costs of licence and insurance and harbouring.without all the other maintence bits.
George If I could turn the clock back I would have studied Archoelogy I never realised how intereting it was finding old items. I still have small bits of the things I found. strange as we moved near a Roman encampment in Norfolk it still has the walls but not much else.; I was thrilled to bits when we went to Italy and I saw the ruins everything stood as it had before the Lava covered the town.. I spend many hours walking about there.
well time for my second cup of tea.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone, I'm feeling a little fragile but much better, can't remember the last time something laid me as low as this flu. I am definitely paying for a flu jab next year. Rita hope your luck changes soon, you've had more than your fair share of worry. George how exciting to unearth that pottery etc. I would love to go on a dig. Hope all the friendlies are well, <3 <3 <3

A Wee Chuckle for the day
Just a line to say I'm living, That I'm not among the dead
Though I'm getting more forgetful And something's slipping in my head;
I got used to arthritis, To my dentures I'm resigned.
I can manage my bifocals, But oh, how much I miss my mind.
For sometimes I cannot remember
When I stand atop the stairs, If I must go down for something Or if I've just come up from there.
And before the fridge, so often My mind is filled with nagging doubt. Have I just put food away, or Have I come to take some out.
I called a friend not long ago, When they answered I just moaned. I hung up quickly without speaking, For I'd forgotten who I'd phoned.
And when the darkness falls upon me I stand alone and scratch my head. I don't know if I'm retiring, Or just getting out of bed?
Once I stood in my own bathroom, Wondering if I'd used the pot. I flushed it just in case I had And sat down just in case I'd not.
So, now if it's my turn to write you. There's no need for getting sore It may be that I think I've written And don't need to write no more.
Now I stand beside the mail box With a face so very red Instead of mailing you the letter I have opened it instead.
C'mon you have to smile at this
:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Away to the westward, I'm longing to be Where the beauties of heaven’ unfold by the sea Where the sweet purple heather’ blooins fragrant and free On a hill-top, high above the Dark Island
Oh Isle of my childhood I'in dreaming of thee As the steamer leaves Oban, and passes Tiree Soon I'll capture the magic, that lingers for me When I'm back, once more upon, the Dark Island . So gentle the sea breeze’ that ripples the bay Where the stream joins the ocean, and young children play On a strand of pure silver, I'll welcome each day And I'll roam forever more, the Dark Island
True gem of the hebrides, bathed in the light Like a midsummer dawning, that follows the night How I long for the cry, of the seagulls in flight As they circle high above’ the Dark Island
You can listen to the full version on You Tube.....sung by Fiona Kennedy.

Evening All !
George, That's great ! What a way to spend your time. It's magic when you find things that have been buried unseen for donkeys years.
That's why I think I enjoyed my diving days. Seeing things and finding things that had lain on the sea bed for a very long time. Magic.
Rita, You mention Boats.....almost time for my Yacht to be back afloat again for this season.
I have pasted a wee Scots song below.......The Dark Island......it is in fact the Island of Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides a really beaufiful place.
I'm dreaming already....wishing I was heading off Westward......or to get to Benbecula......North West :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
