Hello everyone, I have been having problems getting on this thread for a while now, usually get the 'Error message' 2/3 times, so give up and try later. One day last week couldn't get on at all.
Hope Rita got on ok at the hospital, and has now had a few cups of tea.
Not a nice day here, damp and cold, not a bit like last week.
Hope you have all had a pleasant day.

Well I finally managed to get on here. I tried to read the thread this morning (12 hours ago) but the Post Date button refused to work. I tried doing the drop down menu of pages but it went only up to 460 (I think) and that was still in the early days of the thread. It took me a month of Sundays to finally get on the boards tonight (about 30 mins ago) and at last I am able to read this thread. I just hope I can post on it.

I will be leaving here at 9 to go to the hospital for my scan the sun has just come out. I was up at 7 this morning. longing for a cup of tea and a biscut but not allowed due to the scan. now I long for a glass of water not allowed. wait till I have had the scan done. then I will drink four cups of tea. lol

Dermot doesn't pop in much now either, maybe people are having too many problems getting on and have given up. I have felt like giving up on GR myself but would miss you all so I stay, lol.

.My thoughts are in the distant past today......thirty years ago to be exact.....a group of Special Forces lads, SBS and SAS thought they were returning from Winter Survival Training in Norway to a bit of Easter Leave with their loved ones.

NO CHANCE......Gear packed and on their way to the Falklands . A life changing experience for many.....and a one way ticket for some.

Yes friends I am OK. I had a funny night last night I logged on and answered some threads but felt too tired to carry on.. I seem to have slept on and off all day today. ( signs of getting old lol) I was glad you all enjoyed your meet yesterday. I wish I had felt well enough to have gone. maybe if I am around next year I will make it.
Tomorrow I have my scan and my eldest son has his in the week. he may now have it on his lung ? so think of him please. My son in Law goes next month for a scan and MRI.and my other son has his operation to save his sight on 18th of this monthy.
My Great Granddaughter Megan came out of hospital but cannot lift anything or go out to play for 6 weeks now her baby brother Charlie has Chicken Pox so their mother is worried they will all get it from Charlie. .

so sorry it is a morbide note on here.but hopefully we will get good news sometime in the furture.

I dont know if any of you are having the trouble I am. ? but when I delete something off "My Thread" the piece I wrote goes . but the thread stays where it is on my Thread. so the pages are getting more . so I have complained to GR about it and asked them to help me sort this out. if it is not one thing it is another. it is a worry how many pages will my computer take if this carries on ? If they dont then I will leave GR. dont want too. but it has got so now that the problem keep appearing.what with error notices and RR I have noticed makes you wonder if someone is trying to sabotage the GR site.

Still not heard from Agatha then. perhaps she has left the site as she is not on any threads unless she has changed her name ? we are getting thin again seem to be losing people off this FT.is Pat still about ?

Yes Mo off to Ireland on the 10th April, really looking forward to getting away although we have some sorting out to do over there as my mother in law will be going in to a nursing home after we leave. She can no longer cope on her own and we will be glad she will have care 24 hours a day.
The sun came out this afternoon and I managed to get all washing done and dried ready to iron and pack. I am feeling a lot better but still have a wheezy chest and get tired easily. 2 youngest grandchildren both have colds and chest infections now and 4 year old is a severe asthmatic so is on steroids again bless her.
Rita hope all goes well for you, will be thinking of you.
