Happy Easter everyone

Had a lovely day with my brother and all his family yesterday. We got out for a walk, so that was nice and we hadn't expected to stay dry, so that was better too.
Like Rita said it is damp here this morning, but the gARDENS DO NEED IT. aND AS IT IS ALWAYS MISERABLE (00ps) for Bank Holidays why should we expect anything else.

Mo the sleeeping bag will probably take a week to knit. Then I have to get a full length zip and that takes time to sew in. But they will need two so I get going early. Also I think they would like a couple of blankets too.

Morning a quicky as I know you will all be in bed having a cup of tea. maybe someone made it for you as a Easter Treat. ?

Just some advice when you get up . have some breakfast first. before you delve into those Easter eggs. you can eat those why you watch the wonderful Programme's the TV people have given you for an Easter Treat. they are all going around for about 2, 000 th time.
They have a big top hat and pick them from that hat. I bet they got an Easter Bonus for that lol

It is raining at the moment has been alnight we do need the rain. but hope the weather is better for later on when the children hunt for Easter Eggs, and people want to go out for a walk or ride.

I am off now for a shower.

Enjoy yourself at your daughters Rita, and dont eat to many easter eggs, they are not good for the figure you know... but hey who cares lets enjoy ourselves shall we, and make ourselves sick.

Maddie you saucy monkey, two dumb blondes indeedy, we are very bright for two 90 year olds. We may be a bit crotchety round the knees, but that doesn't hold us up does it.
Poor ol K, on his second lot of antibiotics. He has been through the wars lately hasn't he, bless his little cotton socks. He needs a lot of tender loving care, are you willing to put the whip away for a couple of days, and let him rest.

We are going to sit and watch Philadelphia on DVD in a minute, cos there is nothing on TV we want to watch. K. on his second course of antibiotics, he is not a happy bunny.

Whatever happened to the sunny weather? I was on holiday from work last week, and it was luv-er-ly. Lots of sun. You may have noticed I had a pink nose, and was too kind to mention it. My freckles have come out too, just call me Pollyanna. :-D

I wonder if they had a problem getting through on this thread ? I was lucky this morning. and again when I replied to another thread.

I have been sorting out what to take for the next few days as I am going to my daughters for Sunday, Monday and coming home Tuesday. so dont have to take much mind you my tablets take up a full load lol.

Maddie, methinks this lickle thread is feeling so sad, none of it's freindlies have been in to visit it today, apart from a very few of us......how sad is that.
I remember not so long ago, when we couldn't keep up with it, it was soo busy,that if you popped to the loo, you would need to search where you had left it.
I don't need to go to specsavers, it's just that I is coloured blind dontcha know, and I had left my pinz thingmebobbies at home last week,the boncoculars were rather heavy in my portmanteux though,and did weigh me down somewhat. Oh woe poor me etc....etc...etc.

Message to Marilyn, as I like to compare notes with her about clothes. I have got myself a few pairs of linen cut-off trousers from Marks. Also a very pretty hand crochets white cardigan from Monsoon. I must say the price of the cardi made my eyes water, but it is soooooo pretty. :-D

Hope your feeling better Rita, I spoke briefly to Mo at the Meet about her son. Trust everyone else is tickety boo.

Oh what a lonely little thread.
No one around since Rita's posting this morning at 8.16. Has everyone gone out to stock up on food for the one day of shop closures.
When we went to T**co's on Friday, the queues were miles long, anyone would think there was a food shortage,and that the shops were closing for weeks on end, and not for just one day, it's flaming daft if you ask me.

Dull and expecting rain later this morning but it is not cold..

I got up this morning made a cup of tea and took it back to bed with me and listened to my headphone radio .have not done that for years. but I was awake at 6/ 30 too early to get up.

I forgot there was trouble last year about the photo's we had them and was asked to delete

I hope your son gets sorted out quickly Mo. it must be a worry to him and you.

I can imagine Maddie dancing on a table showing her navy blue school knickers to everyone. both very good causes Breast cancer and postrate cancer.. there is so much of it about.

Linda are you still letting off sparks with those needles of yours.? remember the steel ones we use to use then came wooden ones and plastic. I still have a bag of knitting needles somewhere. ? I was always knitting or crocheting I have some ivory Crochet needles as well.and steel ones.
I gave lots of patterns to the charity shop but not the needles..

Morning all
Bit dull here at the moment.
Youngest is coming early to take me shopping with her. Think she needs things for a holiday at the end of this month. Not sure if I will get anything. But I do need to try to get a new water filter as hubby knocked ours to the floor last night and it broke into several pieces !!! It was only bought at Christmas not the old one we'd had for years of course !!
Later we are going to my brother to share a meal and meet up with each other.
I have made 7 square crochet blankets withy the baby wool I had left from the cardigans and boottees and mittens. I will take them to the special care unit for the premature babies.
Just started a sleeping bag for the next baby, so I need to look for zips too

Rita, Maddie started the dancing on the tables, she's a right little raver don't you know, she was showing her navy blue knickers with her hanky in it's pocket.
She even got Foggy up for a boogie.........Ooops my nose is getting longer by the minute here.
No photo's this year Rita, I think Yvonne, Maddie and myself learn't our lesson last year, it caused to much of an upset.
Last year we raised money for Breast Cancer Rita, both are good causes, and we all must do our bit to help out when we can.
My son sees the specialist on the 8th of May. He gets very tired being back at work, but needs must where the devil drives.

I don't know why, but I keep thinking today is Saturday. Being retired it should feel the same as any other day really, but it doesn't.

No Easter eggs for me this year, or chocolate come to that. I have to get this cholesterol down to a descent level,it's a real nuisance when I have to forgo all my favourite foods.
