Stephen glad you had a great time. the weather is no surprise when we use to stay with Mother in Law in Bervie we would had sun and wind and sun and snow and sun and then we would get the good old Scottish mist come up and not see thing in front of us.but it left everything smutty.when it lifted.
Marilyn I hope things go well for you at the hosptial.. we get over one thing and another comes up to keep us busy.

I wondered where Geroge was ? I have seen Foggy on the boards.

The Friendly Thread has had loads of visitors popping in ........great...... :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Had a grand time up North with my family. Pity it passed so quick :-( :-( :-( :-(

Grand walks along the shore, Cave Exploring , Bike Ride , a visit to Gordonstoun School, Beach Bonfire to toast Marshmallows Granddad acting daft in the Kids Play park. etc etc.

On the way home we went through a blizzard as we crossed Dava Moor. Then out of that in to lovely sunshine. That's Scottish weather for you.

George and Foggy,
We spent a great couple of hours with a Geologist and an Archaeologist.. They were cleaning some large stones that had Dinosaurs footprints and tracks of other prehistoric animals on them. The rocks are 250 Million years old .
They gave my Grand Daughters a small sample with a footprint on it to take home for their school. Magic. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Glad we have heard from Pauline. She seems to be in a bad way with her mobility and also in lots of pain.

Hi Rita,

Just a check-up .....nothing serious. I had my ear canal widened two years ago as it was narrowing so had a piece of bone chipped away , but looks like its grown back again as when I put ear drops in ....they don't go down the ear canal !!!

So likely another op to open up again ..

I wonder how Stevey got on this weekend, at least the sun came out ,well it did here in Devon.

Not seen our George for a while, wonder what he's up too ?

Hello Jean and Maddie and Mo and anyone else who comes on this evening ?????/

My son has an operation on Wednesday to save his sight so it is a big one and a worrying week for us.
I have to have another blood test for my warfin on that day as well.
and two in the family have hospital appointments so we are all worried.
so I pray things will go well for us all.

Today the TV had nothing but Titanic films. talks and dramas. I dont know why they had so many.? I know it is an important day but it makes no sence in showing the same things on the same subject.they all have something different in.

It's been really cold here today folks, I am thinking of putting the heating on again.

Maybe todays good weather is taking folks out while the going is good.

Hope to get into the garden early, or maybe go for a walk.

Did mor e knitting last night, will need some long zips soon, they are a bit expensive so might look on line for them.

So many birds in the garden now, think we saw the first fledged blue tits yesterday.

Marilyn if I see a book I would like and it is too dear for me I make a note of the tittle and Author and search on Ebay I have managed to get some book at half price by doing this.

I have a brother and sister in Law in Cambridge, they brought a new house there four years ago and they love living there. Yvonne.

Evening everyone

Had a lovely day in Cambridge yesterday with OH and son, it's not far from where we live, we parked the car in the Park and Ride in Trumpington, there's loads of new houses being built there. The weather was nice and we had lunch in a nice Italian resturant.

OH was at his dad's house today waiting for a fridge-freezer to be delivered, when it arrived it had a big dent in it so it's gone back and another one is being delivered tomorrow. We was hoping to go to the DIY store to get paving for the garden and I need a new wheel for my wheelbarrow I use at the stableyard but that will have to wait now

Hi All,

Just got back from Tavistock.....spent a few hours in the market ,such lovely hand made goods in there, I spotted a second hand book stall and wanted all the books on Devon..LOL there was a book that had so much about the local folk ,but it was £30 so I left that unwillingly ! now I'm home I wished I bought it .. :-\

Its now raining cats & dogs, but I have just put my heating on and opend a bottle of red ....hmm so lovely, dinner nearly ready Salmon fish cakes & baby new potatoes with mushy peas.....simple !!

Might have a desert ......then I might not ..LOL

Good afternoon everyone
Foggy yes it was the Queens. It was lovely and the food is always good. I had wild boar.
The weather has been changeable here this morning. Dashed out to an aquatic shop earlier to get some plants(sorry living salad) for the fish tank and a light tube as the tank is in darkness.
Came home to find my lovely postman had hidden a parcel for me, saves us going to the office to collect next week. He is a diamond !!
Went into the garden early and dug up 6 pots of plants to give BIL for his garden. Why does that always feel good, sharing plants with each other. Sent them home with seeds too for foxgloves, perenniel sweet peas and hollyhocks too.

The concert was amazing last night they really do sound like the actual Genesis. We had Steve Hackett sitting in front of us too, he supports this group and what they are doing for charity. Charterhouse School is beautiful if only we could go round and see what it is really like not just a lovely hall.

Not much going on for the rest of the day. Might get the ironing done then I won't need to worry for the rest of the weekend.

I will say morning to everyone. I had to come in the back way today. it has gotten so bad. it seems as if we will have to put up with this or leave the site.? It is making me so cross. with so many problems is there no one there that can solve these for us.?

Anyway hope everyone is keeping well.? so we have Pat missing now and Sallie and goodness know what happened to Agatha?

We had thunder early this morning about 5 it went with a bang. then everything went quiet no sound at all even at 7 oclock there was no sound of cars or buses no radios or peoples voices, I have never know it so quiet.?
I thought I must be the only one on this earth.?
I turned the TV on and got motor racing all the other programmes were for children so I turned it off.
I think they forget there are poeple who dont like sport or so much of it.why they cannot use one channel or two for sport and leave the others for people who dont get into sport.

I had done most of my jobs so will take walk across and get some bread and pay the paper bill.

Yesterday there was a man in the Post Office he asked for four full pages of 1st class stamps and four of second . and a page of large. the assistant said she would have no stamps left if she gave him all those. he said I will have what you have got then. I was so angry I didnt say anything as the assistant told him she needed them for customers but gave him, a certain amount., he was not happy.

People make me so angry never mind anyone else if they have the money they just buy no thought for others. just to save some money. I bet he went to another Post Office and got some as well. ? I buy a book of 12 second class stamps every six weeks. as I write a lot of letters and send cards.

Dont know what to do today ..... :-0,

I'm free again, I had granddaughter all day yesterday ,she had to be nursed as she fell off the monkey bars in her local park the day before and hurt her back, so she needed grandmas attention,but her back quickly became better once she had chocolate & sweets!!

I think I need tpo take up 3pairs of trousers of Pete's as he's had them waiting for my attention for weeks now and they are getting dusty !!
