Morning Stephen, Rita , George and any late joiners Bit iffy here this morning weatherwise. Bright earlier, dull now and already a light shower. Have put the tomatoes out into the green house for the daytime, too cold at night, but has no heating. They are growing well. Off to the shops this morning, need some fresh clothes for a photo shoot tomorrow. My birthday gift from the children . A family get together and lots of photos at the end of it. Went to the gym yesterday so trying to keep it up. Still knitting Mo. But slowing up a bit.
Have a nice day everyone.
Still thinking of all your family Rita.
Today would have been my Dad's 84th Birthday, wonder how my Mum is.

A Wee Chuckle for the day
Wetting the baby's head
So Murphy had been greeted by the stunning news that he was to become a father for the first time.
Jumping with joy, he couldn't wait to go out and celebrate with his pals. But first he must tend to the needs of his lovely wife Kate
'Now my darling, I'm just popping along the road for a few minutes. Is there anything you'd like while I'm out?'
'Yes Pat,' said Kate. 'I'd like you to buy some snails. I just fancy cooking them in garlic butter tonight. So don't be long will you?' Till be back before you know it,' promised Pat, full of good intentions. Two hours later, bag of snails in hand, he was still propping up Mooney's bar and wetting the baby's head for the umpteenth time.
Finally he decided to do the right thing and bade farewell to his pals and stumbled out into the night.
Weaving from side to side, he eventually reached his house and tottered up towards the door.
Sadly, in trying to get his keys out of his pocket, he dropped the bag of snails and 'crack' it split open on the step scattering snails everywhere. The noise woke Kate who opened the bedroom window and shouted down:
'What's going on? Where have you been all this time?'
Murphy looked down at the snails, clapped his hands and said.................... : 'Come on lads - we're nearly home!'

Morning All !
It's a pretty miserable morning here. Dark and raining .The rain is supposed to be good for your complexion. It seems to be working in my case. Just last night my dear Lady Stephen stroked my face and said I had skin as soft as a Baby's Bottom.
Well I sure that's what she meant.
She actually said my face was like an a***. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Hey Ho ! After a 'lazy day' yesterday I'm gonna keep busy today. Get a few odd jobs out off the way. Can't have them interfering with my sailing.
Hope everyone has a good day, Hail, rain or shine :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Evening All !
Lazy day ! Decided to give one of the cars it's Spring Service. Kept me out of mischief.
Started to plan a canoe trip with my grandchildren later in summer. Down the River Tay for a couple of days. Camping by the river at night and cooking on a fire. That should be great fun. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Gonna have my supper, feeling a bit peckish ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Night all !

A Wee Chuckle for the day
Michael Hoolihan was courting Frances Phelan.
The young couple sat in the parlor of the girl's house night after night, much to the annoyance of old man Phelan.
One night he couldn"t take any more. Standing at the top of the stairs, he yelled down,
"What's that young fella doin' here all hours of the night?"
"Why, Dad, " said Frances, "Michael was just telling me everything that's in his heart!"
"Well, next time, " roared Phelan........................................,
"just let him tell you what's in his head, and it won't take half as long!"

Before my grandmother died, mum took her through her photo albums and asked who each person was and made sure they were named. I try to name all my photos so that my descendents wont be left wondering. I am also trying to scan them all onto the computer, and putting them onto CDs for others to have. They are also on the external hard drive. I have photos of parents, grandparents, gt grandparents and even some gt gt grandparents. And there are also photo of the siblings of grandparents and gt grandparents and some of their children. I have been able to send copies to English relatives who did not have some of the photos of their grandparents or whoever.

Hi All Stephen I have nearly all my parents photos since Dad passed away last year, just wish they had all been labelled. I have tried to copy quite a few and share them with my brothers and sisters and other extended family, but I still have the originals. I did get some pictures of our 4 generations this morning. Mum was good and chatty today and the other residents in the care home all wanted to see the baby and hold him too. I think he's gorgeous, but then I am biased !! Added more pictures to Mum's album, soon she will need a new one.
We had real April weather today, all sunshine and showers and a huge storm near Slough on the way home, crash bang wallop. Our daughter saw me jump, luckily hubby was driving the car. Nice evening now and we had more sun too.
Catch up tomorrow still keeping Rita and her family in my thoughts

Linda, Treasure your photos......something to pass on to the future generations. Sadly nearly all the photos of my family ie my sisters, brothers , mum ,dad, gran etc were destroyed in a fire. :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(
It was a very quiet day on the Friendly Thread , they must all be out spending their money ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
