Marilyn, I dont think there is a great deal going on in NZ for the Jubilee. Not that I watch much TV, but I havent noticed a lot about it in the newspaper I read online.

I have been busy adding photo albums to my facebook page, but I am just about ready for bed now.

Morning

Pleased your feeling better pauline enough to pop in and out of here.
morning to Stephen Mo. Maddie Pauline Jean Cath. Shelley Marilyn
Linda and anyone I have missed off.?

I watched TV nearly all day yesterday. I felt so proud of us Brtis to beable to put a show on like that for the whole world to see.. shame it rained.; but at least it stayed fine for most of the time.

I watched the horse show in the evening from Windsor I thought that was wonderful as well. God Bless the Queen she is wonderful for her age 86 and she stood all the way. if it had been me I would have flag out halfway through.

It is dry here at the moment all though we had a lot of rain during the night.

Morning all
Life is on a knife edge at the moment. Our daughter the babies Mum was taken into hospital last night in severve pain. She had her gall bladder removed many years ago, but they now think she still has gallstones(god knows where?) The baby is being taken up to her for feeds and to keep her milk coming in. Worst thing is we were all going away on the coming Saturday. So now everything is on hold.
Ijust wish this poor old thread could bring a whole bunch of good news for a change.
Feeling a bit low at the moment

Evening All.

Welcome back Pauline, hope you are feeling better.

Yes it is STILL raining down here. I got soaked coming home from work, but managed to get two punnets of strawberries for two quid, so we can pretend the sun is shining.

No tv on at work, so could not watch the Pageant until I got home. What a shame the weather has been so bad.

As I cut through the turnings to get home, some were having street parties. There had been gazebo's erected in the middle of the roads, and all the people were huddling under them. The kids did not mind, they were tearing all over the placed, but the adults were securely under cover passing around wine bottles, lol.

See ya later.
:-)

Yes, I'm watching it as well Linda, pity about the weather down there.

We've got lovely sunshine up here............. I'll try and send some of the sun down.

I'm feeling a lot better thanks, soon be back to normal.

Edit: I've joined Marilyn and Shelly with my patriotic avatar!! :-) :-)

They could have given us a patriotic emoticon.

Hi Pauline
Hope you are feeling better
We went into our local market town today as there were tables all set up for eating outside. Unfortunately it has drizzled all morning and now is pouring with rain. We chose to eat inside and luckily got a table in Nandos. Had chicken and salad. Then came home
Been watching the pageant on TV, glad we didn't go up. Though it looks OK so far in London. Just said it is starting to rain now at Tower Bridge

Afternoon everyone, are you all keeping well?

I see Shelly and Marilyn are being patriotic with the Union Flag. Are you all having street parties? I don't think anyone around here is doing anything like that. Well, not where I live anyway.

Hi Rita
I think I will watch the pageant on Tv as it's horrible here and I can't see any fun in going out and getting soaked. But I would have liked to have been along the river. One man said Billingsgate, the old market, would be the best plave to be. Bet that is chokka by now .

Have done the ironing and finished another little hat, in pink this time for the tinnies

That had given me a laugh Stephen the first of the day. It is very wet here. It might brighten later on in the day.? shame as many are having parties.but then only one person can direct the weather.

Seeing the presenters on TV this morning and listening to their banter has made me turn the tV off. they are going over the same old thing just to keep themselves on air. new people are brought in and they say the same old thing 350 years since this happened. the funniest thing to me was they took you into a pub who are getting ready for the pub party later on. ( the pub has been visited three times within the hour ) and the TV presenter pointed to the bar and quote. there is alot of excitment about the party the WI have made a big rubbard crumble for the party , there it lay in a tin no cover over it on top of the bar, I dont think I would like to eat that after all the elements have floated about in that pub.but what excitment a Crumble.
I wouild sooner the TV presenter had visited the people who came over night and settled along the embankment and other parts of the thames to see where they came from and listen to them speaking. they only spoke to a few.
I would like to have seen the boats on the thames.it will be a wonderful display and so much history.

have a good day.

A Wee Royal Chuckle for the Day

The Queen was showing the Archbishop of Canterbury around the royal stable, when one of the stallions close by farted so loudly it couldn't be ignored.

"Oh dear," said the Queen, "How embarrassing. I'm frightfully sorry about that."

"It's quite understandable," said the Archbishop, and after a moment, added,...........................................

"as a matter of fact I thought it was the horse."
