Terrible flooding on the tv. I should hate to live there. Flooding on the tube the other day, in Stratford. If that should happen when the Olympics are on, I dread to think the consequences.

I am NOT working today. So shall take it easy, doing the washing, ironing and cooking the Sunday dinner. lol

I have a very old twin tub washing machine. It suits me fine, I just hope it will last me the rest of my life. I dont want a modern one.

Yvonne you must have a stop or cancel button on your washing machine?I dont know any that have not got one?. suppose a kttien or small dog got into the machine and you didnt notice. how would you get it out. ?on the machines in our laundry we have a cancel button. but one has a little sign to cancel which is under number 2 on the machine
I have owned quiet a few different makes in my life time and all have had some form of stopping the machine.
If you have lost your instruction book look on the interent ? because that is very strange.?

I bet you were annoyed about that. ? have to wait for the full cycle to complete.before you could wash the clothes. good job you were not in a hurry.

I did a daft thing this morning, put the clothes in the washing machine, swithched it all on then about 10 minutes later niticed I hadn't put the ball with the washing liquid in the machine, it was still sitting on the worktop. I had to wait for the machine to go through the cycle cos I can't cancel it once it's started then wash the clothes all over again with the liquid!! Senior moment lol

I logged on to see if I had any emails.? my dinner is on I am having a small chicken pie and new potato's and beans

My friend called in to see if I wanted any shopping.? I said I was just going to the shops. she told me the wind takes your breath away. and she would get what I wanted. she had her car . so she got my little bit of shopping. and brought two boxes of ENGLISH Strawberries buy one for £4 and get the other free. but we both pay £2 each so it saves money.
she also took my perscription into the chemist and posted two cards for me. so that was nice of her. I have not had to go out in the wind.
But the sun is shining and it makes a difference how you feel.

Hope your back is getting better Pauline and Jean hope your going on OK.
If the wind would drop the weather would be nice out.
It will spoil the Tennis at Wimbledon if the wind keeps up.

Maryiln put this wind in a large bag and take it with you. let it over the side of the ship so the wind goes to sea.

Stevey ....before you sail away on your Yacht ... I will be waving from the Queen Mary 2 on Sunday morning , I am on Deck 7 starboard side waving a union Jack . :-D I'll be the one wearing a life jacket ...LOL...

Hope I'm going to be missed,........ if any one manages to get down south ,my brother & wife can supply you with a cream tea as he's my live in caretaker & gardener .. :-) no dogs allowed though, Pete doesn't like the smell of them..LOL

Terrible the water flooded parts of Wales. I wonder if they will get support from the Goverment ? The should help these poor poeple.

Stephen, there will be a few annoyed women on here, because you didnt invite them on your yacht. Though come to think of it, if the weather is as bad as some members have been saying, perhaps they wont want to be sailing.

Rita, Take care. Make sure you are near your Cords......do you were a MECS round your neck ? How's your Blood Pressure ?Keep in touch with folk regularly and at specific times so that if they don't here from you they can alert someone to check on you.

Oh Rita, I am sorry to hear you felt unwell last night. Do you think it was something you ate?
Mind you, there is a virus going round at the moment, where people have a muggy head aches. Both Roly and I have had it on and off all week.
Still it's hardly surprising is it, with the way our weather has turned round.
I hope you manage to get a better nights sleep tonight love.

Hi to everyone. I have only just come on today. I did go to the strawberry tea yesterday and had a lovely time.
But about 6 o,clock I was sitting watching the Tv when I had a bad turn. dont know what caused it ? but I honestly thought it was my time.it was as if a shutter had come down over me I felt really bad. so I went off to bed.. I slept badly during the night. but had the pull cord there incase I needed medical help.
I didnt feel too bad this morning. a friend phoned and asked if I was OK ?se said I had not looked well at the strawberry tea..
yet I felt OK then.
still it seem to have passed. so I hope it will be OK now. ? I had fish and chips for dinner so I didnt have to do any cooking.lol

It has rained hard all day and the wind has whisked a round the gardens blowing all the branches and bushes. it is like Novemeber than June

so I have had a lazy day today only done the jobs that really needed to be done like bed made. and washing up etc, even my mail I have left till tomorrow.

I think Cath is due back this weekend, after settling Mum in a home nearer to them, than Ireland.

Maddie I had to take my little bunting flags down,because they would have blown away last night, my balloons went bust the same day I put them up !!
but I have my neighbours huge flag flying in his front lawn and I love to see it and he's going to keep it flying.... :-D

Linda....have a great time .....just a tip ! LOL.... you'll have to take your bank book with you for Italy . :-S So glad to see daughter is well what a sigh of relief . :-)

We haven't seen Cath for a while....hmm wonder where she is ? Come to think of it I think she went on Holiday too !

I have just put the last of the sheets in the wash , this wind will have them dry in no time, that's if they stay on the line ..LOL
