I am late this morning. I seem to have lost two hours anyone found them ?
really I didnt get up till 8 oclock because I didnt go to sleep till 2.30 although in bed at 10 o'clock,
I had my shower before I did my breakfast so I dont know if that is the reason my clock has been playing up.?
I then had a check on the emails and replied to them. all except my Granddaughter who is expecting her first baby the begining of November. it is to be a Girl she is very pleased with herself her emails was three sheets long. so I had to print that out before replying.

Then I had to go and collect my perscription. then one of my neighbours came over all upset she wants to sell her flat as the maintence keep going up and she is having a problem moneywise, she was told our Trust has to get there valuer down first to see what the market value will be before she can go to the agents and put her flat on the market and of course being who they are they take ages to do anything. they have such a bad name. I told our estate manager she said why is that. I said if you have half an hour I will tell you there heading said we look after the elderly people I said they look after themselves they charge us for anything they can. if you want a cooker installed by someone else you have to pay then £60 to get it done. and if you want a new kitchen fitted it cost you £50 to £60 for written permission.

anyway it is nice and warm out so that is a good thing. I am going away for a holiday soon so if you dont see me on the board your know I am away. I hope the weather will be kind I feel I need this holiday

A Wee Chuckle for the day.

A young child walked up to her mother and stared at her hair.

As mother scrubbed on the dishes, the girl cleared her throat and sweetly asked;

"Why do you have some grey strands in your hair?"

The mother paused and looked at her daughter. "Every time you disobey, I get one strand of grey hair. If you want me to stay pretty, you better obey."

The mother quickly returned to her task of washing dishes.

The little girl stood there thinking. She cleared her throat again. "Mother?" She sweetly asked again.

"Yes?" Her Mother replied.

"Why is Grandma's hair all grey?"

Morning to the few !

Lovely morning again. Looks like the makings of another great day. :-) :-) :-)

Where is everyone ? The Friendly Thread is getting smaller each day. :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

Rita, I lived in a wee village for a few years. Near the town of Linlithgow. During that time we never needed to lock our door or secure our cars. In fact we went on Holiday for three weeks once and resalised we had left everything open. Returned to find everything as we had left it. As you say , sadly these days are passing and it is becoming hard to find people you can really trust ,but thankfully there are still some good folk around.

Have a good day ya all !

Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Good evening all
Quiet here today !!
Went to the gym first thing this morning. Then got the washing on the line, nice fresh sheets to put on the bed for tonight. Should sleep well as they have been sun-dried !! LOL
Then we packed a picnic lunch, went fiorst to Stockbridge. Lovely small town on the River Test. Then we went to Mottisfont Abbey an NT house in Hampshire. It has roses growing in a walled garden. The perfume was quite heady really lovely, never been there at this time of the year before.

Just back from WW and sorry to say gained a little this week. So follow the plan more carefully this coming week.

Have a nice evening everyone

A Wee Chuckle for the day

An experienced canoeist is taking his friend out for a first trip in an open canoe.

The experienced canoeist, obviously, is sat in the stern: his pal, the novice, is in the bow seat.

As the current picks up and the waves get bigger, the novice turns around and asks, apprehensively, .......

"If the boat tips over, will we fall out?"

"No!" replies the other, "We'll still be friends!"

Morning All !

It's glorious here. Magic :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Cath, hope the mopping up went well. :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

I've just finished giving one of daughters houses a 'sixty minute' makeover..............4 bedrooms , lounge , diner, two bathrooms , kitchen , utility room , hallway , All the walls, ceilings , and woodwork including the doors.and windows.
All done in 'sixty minutes' my backside !!!!! It took me 30 hours hard graft.
Managed to do it in my 'spare time' ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

She is off to the Isalnd of Islay this weekend with the family for a wee holiday. Islay is fantastic. I'm sure my wee grandchildren will love it. The Basking Sharks will be moving up past Islay at this time of year so they should be able to spot them.

As part of our training four of us canoed most of the Hebridean Islands. Living off the land and sea and sleeping where we could find shelter at night.
The basking sharks would swim alongside us at times. Huge beasts about twenty feet long and so gentle with it.
Four weeks that will stay in my memory forever. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Happy days !

Have a good day ya all !

Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Just read this from a friend, though it might give some a giggle;

A very pretty young speech therapist was getting nowhere with her "Stammerers Action Group". She had tried every technique in the book without the slightest success. No-one was improving. Finally, thoroughly exasperated, she said "If any of you can tell me, without stuttering, the name of the town where you were born I will have wild and passionate sex with you until your muscles ache and your eyes water. So, who wants to go first?"
The Englishman piped up."B-b-b-b-b-b-b-irmingham."
"That's no use, Trevor," said the speech therapist. "Who's next?"
The Scotsman raised his hand and blurted out "P-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-aisley".
"That's no better. There'll be no sex for you, I'm afraid, Hamish."
"How about you, Paddy?"
The Irishman took a deep breath and blurted out "London."
"Brilliant, Paddy!" said the speech therapist and immediately set about living up to her promise. After 15 minutes of exceptionally steamy sex, the couple paused for breath and Paddy said
"-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-erry".

Morning
Linda I always brought my wool from the wool mills they were very good sent it right away. when you apply they send you a wool board with all the different wool on and the colours. have you tried them.?

Shelly glad the sun is out for the start of your birthday hope the days goes well for you.

Stephen. you could not leave money out on the window ledge for the window cleaners here those days have gone when you could do that.

Marilyn I would not sleep at night if I thought there were bears about. I use to worry when we camped incase a snake got into the tents. I had sew in ground sheets

Jean I hope you are enjoying the good weather when it appears lol we seem to be having a rough old weather time this year.maybe it is because we got the games in this country.

everyone seem to be striking for more money because we have more visitors expected. Now bank computers have got gremlins in their works.
I think someone is trying to damage the games I bet this didnt happen in the other countries who have held the games

They would not dare.

Morning all.

My washing's on as well, Linda, but don't think it'll stay dry long enough for it to go outside.

Cath, my kitchen was flooded once (by a leak) and all the units had to come out so the floor could be replaced. It was right on Christmas and we had nothing at all in the kitchen........... not even a floor.

I hope you get it sorted quickly without your floor having to come up. Had you just decorated the kitchen?

We had torrential rain yesterday afternoon, the removal men had to sit in the van and wait for it to ease off a bit before they could carry my niece's furniture into her new home.

Stephen, I've just seen that one about the optician :-D :-D

Rita, it's a good job you have a good memory and you remember where all the letters are on your keyboard, maybe you could put them back on with nail varnish. :-)

Marilyn, how big are the windows in your cabin? Will the bears be able to get in if you forget to close them? :-D :-D

A Wee Chuckle for the day

It was as soon as we came back from our honeymoon you could see the behaviour.

She would growl from the living room to the kitchen, constantly looking for food and ready to pounce on anyone who even dared question her.

I definitely blame the wife's parents for it!

They're the silly idiots who gave us a pet lion for a wedding present.
