Afternoon to anyone coming here later.
It's been a mixture of sunshine and showers today. Been to the shops as we have our son and his wife coming to dinner. Had a general tidy up and prepared the food. Just waiting for them to come with 2 spaniels as they have his sister in laws too. They might go round our lake to let them burn off some energy.
Have been knitting some more this morning. The shawl is growing but much slower due to the thickness of the wool, but I enjoyed making this years ago so pleased to be doing it again.

Morning everyone.

Just popped over to shop to get the sun as colletcting the tokens for the £9.50 holiday, been on a few with my sister Babs been great so far. Going with Teri and Caitlin, Then with Babs again. Plus trying to get one to where i want to go which is Bridgton but they dont have any there or near there :-( As i dont drive i cant get it to far from there.

Well been in alot of pain over the last few weeks, Having test at doctors to see whats going on. He said the stress i am under not helping. I just get cross that it stops me doing things. Took me alday to sort cloths out yeterday, which should have took few hours.

Well is the sun out where you all are? Its out here at the moment, so got me clothes horse outside full with clothes in hope there dry, got alot dry yesterday.Its just freshing up summer clothes that wee put away.


Marilyn I am having few days cant sleep then need to go to bed early as cant keep awake. :-S

Spent yesterday in the garden tidying up, weeding etc. OH has now decided we need to paint the outside of the house :-0 :-0 He hates painting so I whisked him off to the hardware store to get the paint before he changed his mind :-D Might make a start later on if the weather holds.

A Wee chuckle for the day

I was sitting in the waiting room of the hospital after my wife had gone into labour and the nurse walked out and said to the man sitting next to me,

"Congratulations sir, you're the new father of twins!"
The man replied, "How about that, I work for the Doublemint Chewing Gum Company." The man then followed the Nurse to his wife's room.

About an hour later, the same nurse entered the waiting room and announced that Mr. Smith's wife has just had triplets.
Mr. Smith stood up and said, "Well, how do ya like that, I work for the 3M Company."

The gentleman that was sitting next to me then got up and started to leave. When I asked him why he was leaving, he remarked,

"I work for 7-UP."

Pauline it looked terrible where you were, hope everyone is safe. Down here it was wet when I got up, but the sun is shinning now. BUT we are still on a hosepipe ban !!! Unbelievable. The grass guy couldn't do ours yesterday it was too windy and the weedkiller would have gone onto my flowers, so it has to be re-booked and hope it's not too wet then.
Well hubby and I had lots of cards to open this morning ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, 39 years ago today we both said "I do" and through thick and thin we've managed to stay together. Very happy times balanced by some bad times too. But the sun is shinning right now so we're OK.

My wee grandaughters are off on holiday to Islay today. Gonna miss them. We try and see them about once a week. Haven't had them to stay with us for ages......perhaps while they are on School Holidays they can come for a night. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

We had a lovely surprise yesterday when we booked in at the Airport we were upgraded to Club class......we had practically a bed to sleep in ....3course meal with Champagne with all napkins & as much wine & any alcohol as we wanted, pity it was at night cause I couldn't possibly drink in my sleep ..LOL

Tonight I broke my front top tooth on some hard food. I think it is actually a previous repair which has broken off. :-( I am hoping I can get an appointment tomorrow (Saturday) to get it repaired. Otherwise I will have to keep my mouth shut when in company :-D (Now how can I blacken one of those teeth?) Soup and runny eggs for me until it is repaired.
