Morning Jean and Stephen and all others The sun has got his hat on !!! Let's hope it stays that way. I have already put a wash on. Rita I hope you are OK. George nice to see you back. We had a lovely day yesterday but the weather was awful it rained a little on the way down. But 2 hours solidly over lunch time including hail, thunder, lightening and driving rain. Oh well it is summer LOL. Then it rained a little on our way home too. It was a full day I think we were out for 12 hours. One of hubby's cousins has twin daughters and it was their 20th birthday yesterday. So it was a nice celebration too.
Good laugh this morning Stephen.
Hope everyone has a nice day

A Wee Chuckle for the day
A magician was working on a cruise ship. Since the audience was different each week, the magician did the same tricks over and over again. There was only one problem: The captain's parrot saw the shows each week and began to understand how the Magician did every trick. Once he understood, he started shouting in the middle of the show, "Look, it's not the same hat!" or, "Look, he's hiding the flowers under the table!" Or "Hey, why are all the cards the ace of spades?" The magician was furious but couldn't do anything. It was, after all, the Captain's' parrot. Then one stormy night on the Pacific, the ship unfortunately sank, drowning almost all who were on board.
The magician luckily found himself on a piece of wood floating in the middle of the sea, as fate would have it ... With the parrot. They stared at each other with hatred, but did not utter a word. This went on for a day... And then 2 days. And then 3 days. Finally on the 4th day, the parrot could not hold back any longer and said...
"OK, I give up. Where's the feckin' ship?" :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Hello everyone, hope you are all ok. Rita, I do hope you are feeling better today, did you see your GP yesterday. Stephen, you are so right, there is nothung so good as the peace and quiet of the night, only the sound of the river and any wildlife that is about. Marilyn, yes I have a new horse, Megan - very big but very gentle, she only arrived last week. if the evening is warm I sleep outside my vardo, but if not I sometimes sleep inside, ask anything you like, I am always happy to answer. Yvonne, hope you enjoy your holiday, do you have someone to look after your horse while you are away, or do you take her to a livery yard?

Rita.....Get to the doctors today if you can.....if not get one to visit you, looks like you may have caught a virus on your holiday.....I hope you have contacted someone in the flats to let them know you are poorly.
Stevey...Where do you get all your jokes from ? at least it wakes me up having to read them so early in the morning .. :-D
Maddie must be poorly :-S unless she's gone on her Holls and forgot to tell us, or just having time out ......and that's OK too.

Morning all, Rita, sorry you are feeling so poorly after your holiday, maybe a visit from your doctor is needed. Stephen, hope the rain stops, have you had any flooding in your area? I love my time in my vardo, specially at night, the peace and quiet, and time to just sit and listen to the silence. My horse is Megan, she is so gentle, in spite of her size, I am hoping we get plenty of nice weekends to travel.
Breakfast anyone? Cereal Bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes and hot rolls. Tea or coffee.
Hope everyone is ok and will have a good day.
Linda, I hope you have a pleasant journey, am sure you will enjoy it with your Grandson. Take care and stay safe. Jean xx :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

A Wee Chuckle for the day
A cannibal entered the meat market to buy something nice for dinner.
The owner greeted him and told him to look around.
The cannibal began to inspect the meat case and noticed the market specialised in brain.
Upon further inspection he noticed a marked disparity between the costs of brain meats.
A carpenter's brain sells for £1.50 per pound.
A plumber's brain sells for £2.25 per pound.
He noticed with alarm that a politician's brain sells for £375.00 a pound.
With not a little curiosity he asked the owner why the huge difference in price between the similar meats. The owner responded with a deadpan look on his face,
"Do you realise how many politicians it takes to get a pound of brains?"

A Wee Chuckle for the day.
A doctor broke the bad news to a man, that his wife would have to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital.
“I’m afraid her mind’s completely gone,” he said.
“Makes sense,” mumbled the man.
“She’s been giving me a piece of it every day for the last 15 years.”

I hope you are all well. Nothing exciting happening here, no news to tell you about, just thought I would pop in to say hello.

Well disappointed to report that I gained half a pound this week, but at least I am telling you. I WILL do better next week. Miserable weather not helping. Not enough exercise. Too many shared meals either entertaining or out too. Not a disaster but not good. Rather showery but could have been worse today. Got the ironing done this morning Then carried on knitting the shawl. Coming on well. Will do more this evening. Nothing much on TV as usual. Well enjoy your evening everyone

I'm back ...
Oh dear what a performance....my step mother is such hard work UGHH She organizes her shopping in a funny odd way...everything has to be exactly as the last shopping day....... Apples first then freezer for fish & frozen peas that's the opposite end of the store .... then back to fruit & Veg isles for bananas & mushrooms, must be only 6 Mushrooms ....ALL THE SAME SIZE !!
Meat for casserole must only be about £3-50p LOL everything else must be Asd@ except Peas they must be Birds Ey*'s....as if she can see peas any different as she's has very bad eyesight at the best of times ....So she tells Me !! My Dad only likes Kell*gg's cornflakes and she cant understand why he cant have Asd@ ones Grrrrrrr.....
Its not as though she's not well off they have between them 6 different incomes. a month. Very well off I would say , and watches every penny that she has, grrr.
Anyway enough of my moaning..... they have all my sisters & brother at their beck & call whenever they need us so I consider them very lucky.
So that's my morning taken care of .... :-(
Glad you had a good holiday Rita........yes we did have tremendous weather Rain Rain Rain........
This afternoon I went to my Garden shop to buy some bedding plants as they were selling them off at 75% ......as nobody has been buying plants due to the weather .
I got all-sorts so now I'm going to plant them .... :-D

Afternoon all
Rita pleased you had a lovely holiday with your sister
Jean so pleased you have got another horse, tell us all about him/her.
Yesterday afternoon I walked up to see the Torch relay as it was passing close by, well I was very dissappointed with it, I think the morning part was better when it went through the main part of town, the little bit I saw was near the end after their lunch before they moved on to another town, it was over in seconds, there was a couple of empty coaches and a Cola lorry giving out free bottles of pop to the kids then the girl carrying the flame and that was it :-( It would have been nice to have a couple of floats and a marching band/majorettes

morning I am doing the washing. the first lot anyway. but I feel so tired this morning. I am sure it is the air.
It is overcaste looks like we are in for rain. speaking to a couple of residents this morning. it appears they had terrible weather while I was away last week. They both said I look well. I may look well but all that walking I did over the holidays has not done much for my knees.lol
Jean you must have got up early to cook all that variety of breakfast dishes. I had cornflakes and two cups of tea.. I had a cooked breakast everyday last week.so thought I would have a change this morning. Jean good job you didnt get bogged down with all the rain while out in your Vardo. when will we get summer ?????? of have we had it and not noticed .
I wish the media would leave Murry alone he did his best and did well. so why must they keep showing the bits where he was crying and upset and saying he was so upset. It really annoys me. have they nothing else to show or talk about. ? well my keyboard has lost two more letters soon it will be blank and I will have to make the most of it till I can get another keyboard. I need to go into Town to get one.
