Mo I saw the torch relay a couple of weeks ago when it came through the town where I live, I was a bit dissappointed with it. Mind you I was at the end of the relay where they got on their bus to go to the next town and it was raining :-(

I have put the community page in my favourites bar, so I dont come in via the home page. I dont usually have problems getting in.

Still no news about Maddie I'm afraid. She's not answering her E.Mails or P.M's.
Something must have happened on here to cause her to vanish like this.

Marilyn I am sorry to hear that your dads in hospital, god willing he be alright, he's in the right place for getting all the help he may need.
Sounds like a strict diet will be needed when you get home, after all those cream teas.

Cath some of us noisy friendlies are still knocking around lol. Like others I dont always have news to tell, so just pop in to say hello and let you know I am thinking of you all.

Tomorrow the Olympic torch is coming through here. I dont somehow think I will be up in time to see it though.
To be able to see it, I would need to be in place at around 7 a.m, and that to me is an unworldy time to be out the streets. Crumbs the pavements wont even be dried lol

I do hope our friends on here do renew their membership, despite all the troubles we are having to put up with, we are a friendly bunch, and I would miss reading everyones news.

I dont think we will save this thread. as more and more are leaving I can see it vanishing like my letters on the keyboard. it is a case of hit a key and hope it is the one I wanted lol.

It is strange about Maddie. no one has heard from her and she has not said she is going on holiday. even so she didnt say she was getting rid of her threads either.so the mystery deepens.

I'm still in Cornwall and touring all the places that I haven't been since I was a child.

Its a lovely day today....plenty of sun, makes everything so much better.

Oh please don't Leave Jean, Stevey & Yvonne.....we need all our friends for support.

Oh my goodness I do hope Maddie is OK I'll E-Mail her when I get home tomorrow.

I'm having a great time with my friends ,but eating far too much with theses Cornish cream teas , it will have to stop..LOL

My dear dad is in Hospital so I'm coming home in the morning as I need to see him ...

Hope you are all well

I've been having the same problem with the home page too, my tree doesn't come up, just get please wait, I haven't done anything to my tree research for a few months, hit a brick wall and I need to get some certs but I don't have any spare cash at the moment so I'm taking a bit of a rest from it.

Last day tomorrow for 6 weeks at school lunch, start back in September but still working in the shop.
I won't be doing exam invigulation anymore either, the secondary school I worked at has closed, through no fault of its own, a few years ago the 'Powers that be be' decided that there were too many secondary schools in Stevenage and they would referb another school to take the additional pupils. Now with the new government all that stopped but it was too late to stop the school closure.

Off me soapbox now! :-D

Stephen, like you my membership is due for renewal in August, but doubt I will do it, am so sick of the problems, error messages etc. doesn't seem worth it.

Cath I hope the Dog gives you a great deal of pleasure. I love dogs. I have had then all my life mainly Labs. I cannot have any animals living here. it is against the rules. but I do miss the company as they were real company.

Stephen it does need a lot of thought to rejoin the site. I have never in my life had so much hassle on the internet as I have with this site.
The errors have started again. I still cannot get rid of the threads I have managed to delete my remarks on. now once again I have lost the family tree start when I log on. it tells you to please waite. I have tried to wait up to 1/'2 hour. it will not work.
It makes no difference if you email and complain. you get the same replies they are trying to sort it/

I think it would pay GR to get a good programmer in even if it costs them money to sort this. it they ever come to resell this site. they are going to have a big problem.

weather over cast at the moment.

I need two match sticks to prop my eyes open I had one hell of a night. I feel so tired..

This thread was very quiet yesterday, where have all the noisy friendlies gone.
Rita you are right, everyone (including myself) seems to be pre-occupied with the weather. Some hot and sunny days would be good though, get everyboby smiling and feeling brighter. They do say its set to improve, fingers crossed :-D
Heard from the rescue centre last night, our new dog will be arriving on the 30th July. We are all looking forward to it.

Can I ask for your help please folks..... I have had a couple of P.M's asking where Maddie has got to, as she seems to have vanished from the face of the earth.
Even her Auntie Motie thread has gone, and the requests are coming from her friends on that thread.
It's not like her to be missing for this amount of time, and I am wondering if any of you can shed any light on her dissappearance.
I do hope that she is o.k, and well.

I hope you are all well, as we are here, apart from family worries where health is concerned that is.

I have no idea what I will be doing to day. I plan today while laying awake in bed. then when I got up thought no I will do what I feel like not what I have planned.

Pauline fancy shopping indoors when you had the lovely sun. never mind it might get better as the year goes on.

Pauline one of these day Linda and her husband and Marilyn and Pete will bump into Each other while on holiday. it has to happened as they are away alot.

We had a lovely sunny day. I did a little weeding this afternoon not much just spent half and hour as I find it tires me out now.
Tomorrw if the sun is out I will do another little bit of weeding.

I feel guilty my bit of garden is full of weeds I was going to ask the gardeners if they would do it for me ? but changed my mind.
