It has been a shock I didnt expect it I knew it would come sooner or later and I know I have got out of breath while on holiday my sister mentioned it too me. when he said well your blood count is OK I thought thank goodness till he told me the rest

So I will see how things go thursday week.

I have just had all my blood checks done today....cholesterol 4-1 so I'm very pleased, I told the doctor I'll keep drinking the Red wine then ... :-D

Just to let you know. I didnt get good news from the hospital. it appears my cancer has started to grow on my lung and kidney. My consultant has said he wants to start me on tablets Sunitinib they go on six week courses four week one daily and two weeks off then back to four weeks. but they do have side affects. he hopes I will not get too many. but he needed to explain to me,( they are not very nice a bit worrying. )anyway I signed permission to start the treatment. on 16th. I explained I could not afford the transport as I was on a widows pension he is arranging hospital transport for me..

I could leave the treatment and let nature take is course but I have to try.
so I have not had a happy day.

I'm not on here as much lately as I have my sister staying with me and she will be going to my other sister tomorrow evening untill sunday then she's off home to North Devon where she lives on her own ...We have to look after her as she treats coming to see us as her holiday.she has been a widow for 19years now and wont fly abroad or go anywhere else but her sisters !!

At the moment she is still in bed otherwise she's my shadow ..LOL

I think we might get some more rain later. we had some heavy rain yesterday all day off and on my baby boy is 55 years old today time goes by so quickly.

I have the hospital this afternoon for my scan results. so I have butterflies in my tummy this morning.

we have done well on the medals in the games. I was so pleased we did well on the dressage. we have done well on these this time.

off to do some breakfast now. have a good day.

It is not too bright here, bit dull and overcast, but I did get washing dry yesterday before some pretty heavy showers in the afternoon.
I lost the 2lb at weight watchers last night that I had gained on holiday, thank goodness. So back on it, not too much to eat and lets drop a bit more please.

Had to get up early as I thought I heaard the dustmen at 5:30, but they haven't come yet !!
Tea made and waiting for hubby to join me
Might do a bit of knitting before deciding what to do today, no plans yet.

It is a nice morning so far ? sun shinning and quiet warm. I dont like this muggy weather, you have a job sleeping. tried blanket tried thin duvet tried just a sheet makes no difference.

Pauline I will do what you said when I look at the family tree. It gets worse for me when they alter these programmes. as I am not the bright so have trouble picking new things up. I dont think I can every go back to how easy I found the site to work when I first joined in 2005 I have given up now.
I feel such a fool. still there must be many of us around. lol

I am still undecided about wether or not to renew my subs, while I no longer use my tree on here I think I would miss the chat and friendly people on the boards. :-S
Looks like being a nice day although showers expected later, I'm not working today but would like to do a bit of weeding, pruning and tidying in the garden.

Morning all
Had a fantastic time yesterday messing about on the Grand Union Canal with 5 other couples, friends for over 40 years now all of us. No one fell in !!! but we did manage to drop a lock key Oh Dear.
One couple has just left to go back to Worthing. We will all meet up again in a months time to celebrate a 65th birthday.
Not sure what the weather holds today, so will play it by ear, but really feel I should try to fit in a walk.

Great achievement for Team GB in the Olympics, loving it. The joy on their faces is evident this morning on TV interviews, they just can't help the grin on their faces is a picture.

Bright and sunny here.

I am not very happy with this site at all, dont like the new set up, and finding it very slow putting info on my tree. I have only just renewed my Platinum subscription so cant afford to just not bother with it, but will not be renewing when it comes around again. I think I can get better value elsewhere with people who listen...............

Off to work soon, then back for the Olympics again.

I have been playing around with this new site. I like it being clearer to read and I perfer to have a light background. I also like not having flashing adverts at the side of the screen.
I am use now to the opening wheel that goes round and tells you to wait, have you tried this? it goes around and tells you to wait and you wait and wait nothing happens so you go onto the chat or whatever coummunity board you want.

You dont get the start of your family tree, just blank space. I have no emotions on mine now. neither can I get rid of the threads I have deleted. been a problem for months now.. never had any trouble till then. when they altered the programme.

The tree well what can I say. ? dont get it, only click each person it shows one picture. I dont like to think all my hard work has now gone down the drain because that is how it seems to me.
I dont think I will continue as I seem to be wasting my time. I am not sure when my subs are due. I will have to check.

Hope everyone is keeping well. I have been watching the sailing and scullsand cycling on TV what alovely feeling when you see Britian win a medal. does not matter what colour it is. what and achivement
