I wasnt feeling too good this morning so didnt log on. I had a nice surprise this morning at 11 my sister arrived she said I wanted to surprise you.? it was a nice surprise. she brought lunch with her salad and fete cheese and rolls and triffles. I was so pleased to see her.I have not seen her since out holidays in Eastbourne.
she has been going to the Olympic games and had taken some lovely photo's seeing cycling and swimming. she said it was so nice everyone spoke to each other no matter what country they came from. it is something she will not forget.

she left at 5 oclock. I hope she gets home Ok as she catches the tube then a bus .

I am not sure if I told you. I saw my GP yesterday as I had been unwell for four weeks my blood pressure and heart was Ok .
she wants me to have some blood tests done on Tuesday as she isnt happy about me being unwell like this. so I am having Thyroid. PMR and Gout and sugar done. and a water test a full MOT.
she said she will get to the bottom of it..

I see they have found the body of that young girl. in her grand mothers house and they are searching for her Grandmothers boyfriend. fancy them not looking there first place poor little thing.

Not unless she and her daughter and granddaughter each had their babies at 12 yrs pld, Mo, so who are you kidding, saying you are forty?

Did I tell you I am to be a great grandmother again in February. My grandchildren are making me feel old before my time. Lets face it, a gal of fourty shouldn't be a great grandmother should she. lol

Thank you for the prayers and hugs. I am tensed up at the moment wondering what side effects I will get from the new drug I am going on.? Jean will know what it feels like.

My son is taking me next thursday to see the consultant. my professor is on holiday. .

I hope everyone is well and enjoying this weather. I wonder how long it will last ?

just had my shower and am having breakfast now.

A Wee Chuckle for the day


One morning a Yachtsman noticed something floating towards the deserted island that had become his home since his yacht sank six months ago.

As the object came closer, he realized that it was a large barrel.

He very soon thereafter realized that hanging on to the barrel was a very scantily clad woman. In fact she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.

Arriving on shore the woman left the barrel and slowly and suggestively walked toward the yachtsman.

She whispered into his ear, " I have something you want!"

The Yachtsman broke into a dead run towards to breaking waves yelling,

"Don't tell me you've got beer in that barrel!"

The Tattoo was grand , the sound of the Pipes never fails to stir me, The Regiment heading up the parade was the Black Watch. A brother served with them in Korea and was badly wounded. He's gone now but I thought a lot about him last night.

My thoughts and prayers are with our dear Friendly Folk who are feeling down just now <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

A sailor and a Priest were playing golf.

The sailor took his first shot missed and said, "#@$!, I missed."

Surprised, the priest replied, "Don’t use that kind of language or God will punish you."

The sailor took aim and hit his shot second shot. Again he missed and under his breath the said, "I #@$!’n missed again."

The priest overheard and replied, "My son, please don’t use that language or God will punish you."

The sailor took his third shot and once again he couldn’t help mutter, "Oh #@$!…"

The priest said, "That’s it God will certainly punish you."

Suddenly a bolt of lightning came down and killed the priest.

In the distance a deep voice said, "#@$!, I Missed".

Home late last night. Home for only a day. It's our 44th Wedding Anniversary and we are going to the Edinburgh Tattoo at the Castle tonight after a meal at some swanky restaurant.

Hello everyone, hope you have been enjoying the days when we had sunshine.
Rita I am so so sorry to read your news, I can understand how you are feeling, I got similar news a few weeks ago, it really knocks the bottom out of your world. Please love rest as much as you can, and take every care of yourself. Do you have contact with a McMillan nurse to talk to? They are very kind and can be a great help.

Sorry I haven't been posting for a while, have been reading all your posts though, keeping up with all your news.
Went on my travels last weekend, had a relaxing couple of days and did a lot of thinking and sorted my head out. surprising how time away from the hustle and bustle of life can help to put things in perspective.

I am now going to try to get a couple of hours sleep.
