A Wee Chuckle for the day,


When I was younger I hated going to weddings.

It seemed that all of my aunts and the grandmotherly types used to come up to me, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me,............. 'You're next.'

They stopped that after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

Arrived home late last night......again !!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had received news that Lady Stephens niece had died suddenly in Ireland while on holiday. She's only 43. The funeral is today , so just made it in time.

Also news waiting for us that yet another very dear friend has died. She too died on holiday while in Malaga. We had known Linda for 45 years. Her family are devastated.

Have I any good news ? .......Hang around while I try and find some......it may take some time :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

Better go and get organised......the Black Tie has been well used the last wee while.

I have had a hell of a day. I went and got my blood tests done this morning 7 lots. my urine test came in I have a bad water infection. the doctor gave me some strong tablets. I have to take four, a day for five days.
I get the blood results on friday.

I was suppose to go to the hospital for my tablets this thursday. my son took the day off to take me. then I got a letter this morning telling me to go next Tuesday 21st at 2.40 for blood tests and exam ready for my chemo. I was told I could not have chemo becuase of where the cancer is. so I dont know what has happened? . my son will be on a works course the next week. so will not be able to take. me
I am going to phone my consultant. secretary tomorrow and ask her what is going on ?which appointment am I suppose to go too. ?so I have had one hell of a headache.

Marilyn I liked the party bit, but not the wrapped car in newspaper. bit..

Rita...I'm surprised you didn't enjoy last night.....I LOVED it !! :-D

Thought all participants did a fabulous job ....and oh what a colourful show ,it made me so proud of my country, I'm sure the Athletes will all go home remembering the London 2012 closing ceremony for the rest of their lives .

Morning it is very hot here and there seems to be no air really stuffy.

I watched the closing of the games last night. it must be me? as I didnt think much of it the begining was so odd the end bit was OK. but it is about time they got rid of some of these old singers.. I wonder if Paul Macartney has a contract with the government so he gets ask to sing on all these big do's
He must know he is pased it by now.

Now we will get back to normal TV soaps and old films and repeats lol.anyway hope you all had a good weekend.

Sorry I haven't added for a while but not been on the computer so much as head really bad, but tablets are sorting me out and I am able to sleep OK at the moment.

So sad to read that Rita and Jean are both going through the mill again. I hope your treatments work for both of you and that things improve. sending

Enjoying our garden at last with the better weather, but the grass needs cutting so often and many shrubs need pruning again and so much watering because of the hot sun. Great isn't it.

I have been able to sit out in the garden and read or knit so I am happy.

I had trouble with the PC this morning so after a few blue words I closed it down
feeling angry.why this happened.
anyway nothing I did seem to go right Then my daughter phoned to say her front room was full of boxes of tiles she is having a new bathroom put in and new boiler. .she said she didnt mind them being there she knew it was getting done.

I shall be a Great Grandmother first week of November Georiga is expecting a baby girl there first child. this little one will be my 12th.Great Grandchild. and we have another wedding coming up near Christmas.

My sisters photo of the Browlee brothers she took at the cycling have come out really well..

the old man got us VIP pass and i took photos of little legs
with 2 usa atherlts and there meddles

I am wondering how that Grandmother didnt find that body of the little girl. if it had been me I would have taken a look around the house and garden incase the child had had an accident.

so many cases of missing children wind up as being somthing to do with someone in the house..

They have only said they want the boy friend for guestioning. but why did he run for it. if he if inoccent ? makes you wonder.? I have an idea what may have happened. so I will wait and see.

Poor child how must her real father and mother feel.

It has been hot today. I have all my windows opened and the cooler fan going.
well must watch some of the games Tom Daily come on get the gold.

I have just read about the the body of that girl ......so sad, like you say why on earth didn't the Police search that house before....disgusting.

Pete has cut the grass and my garden is now looking like it should be.
