A Wee Chuckle for the day

Chris had just turned 18 and had long hair, and looked like a real scruff.

He went to his dad and asked: "Dad it is my 18th birthday! I would like you to by me a car for my birthday.”

So his dad replied, "Son, I will buy you any car that you want as long as you raise your grades AND cut your hair."

Chris said ok.

The next week, Chris brought home a report card he had raised all his grades from C's and D's to all A's.

His father was very happy!

Now Chris was so excited he told his dad what car he wanted a, convertible VW Golf (red).

His dad said, "Chris you haven't cut your hair."

Chris replied, "Well Jesus had long hair."

His dad said, "yeah, and Jesus walked everywhere he went!"

Hope you are all enjoying the long weekend, I worked in the shop this morning, didn't get busy till around 11, s'pose people were having a lie-in.

Going to visit my younger sister tomorrow, meeting her at Bluewater in Kent then after a look round the shops back to hers for a cuppa.

Sorry I've been absent for too long. Just not on computer so much. Head a lot better at the moment, thankfully.
Had all the family here yesterday. BBQ for 10 plus baby. Managed to cook between the rain, somehow.
It absolutely fell down in the afternoon. We had a river running down the road that covered a third of the road down one gutter. Also thunder lightening and hail.

Second grandson due in about 3 weeks!! So have been busy with the needles. Shawl finished but still doing a cot blanket.

Sending my thoughts to Rita and Jean and hope you will both feel much better soon.

Just a quick hi to you all

Busy with grand children, just got the one tonight little Caitlin went to sleep about 20mins ago. So got bit of time to myself. :-D

My son Duane is out of hospital, not too bad at the moment. He has a serport team coming in everyday to see him. And has to go back to the ward once a week to see doctor.

Not not long now and children go back to school i cant wait just to have some time to myself. They not to much hard work but i want to go out and also meet with my friends.Did get to the TNA at Kew few times.

It rained very hard last night ths sun has comeout this morning so I hope it stays that way. My son arrived yesterday afternoon and brought me a new keyboard as my letters were all vanishing as you know..

My sister arrived so we all had a nice little chatshe has not seen John for a few years. she is staying tillnext Tuesday. she has gone to do some shopping.

I have just had a phone call to say one of my brother-in-Law has died. he was getting on. he had a massive heart attack. him and his wife were in a nursing home wrnt a few months back ae they could not cope.
when I met my husband he took me to meet his family and the person that opened the door was Bob. I knew him he use to teach roller skating at the Palis.we always had a laugh about it. as he talk me so well. I learned to dance on roller skates, and use to perform for local shows.such a long time ago.

Well folks we are nearly ready for our wedding of the year. My dress is ready, fascinator bought, shoes, handbag all waiting for me to wear.
I just hope the weather doesn't let us down next Friday. Yep, I know they are getting wed in the registry office on a Friday, so that peeps dont have to get up early the next morning, and they can recover on the Saturday and Sunday.

That is thr trouble when you have vet bills too pay they soon mount up. makes you wonder why they are so high.

I have been thinking of Jean today wondering how she has got on? I get so tired I have to have a sleep in the afternoon for an hour to get my strenght back and I have not started my cancer pills till next monday, goodness know what I will be like then.

I hope everyone has a good weekend whether your away or at home.
My sister is coming to stay for a few days over the holiday. she said it will be com pany for me and she can do little jobs like shopping .

I am usually on my own at holiday times so it will be nice having company.

I'm working on Monday, only in the morning so it's not too bad, glad of the extra money. I had a vet bill to pay from when I called the vet out to my horse a few weeks back, she had come up in huge lumps all over her body. The vet thought it was midge bites and gave me Piriton tablets I had to give her 60 a day :-0. I poked them in to apples then fed them to her, it worked lol

Going to wash my car so I'll see you later <3
