Another 1001 posts from me and I will hit the 5000 mark. Not as many as Marilyn, but still a landmark. This post will leave me with 1000 to go. Now if I can get that many sponsors at $1 each (or preferably more) for my head shave later this month then the Hospice will be pleased.

How many hairs on my head? It would be good if I could get $1 for each of them.

Huia going hairless for Hospice.

Evening folks,
been a lovely day here. Managed to tidy up in the garden and tomorrow have a load of logs to chop and kindling to bag up ready for winter :-S Its good to be prepared, lol.
Rita that was good news to find the marriage in Turkey. I think that is what keeps us all searching, the unexpected bits of info that turn up something interesting. I am at an all around brickwall at the moment but keep looking for that elusive bit of info that will get me going again.
Huia we all make mistakes so don't worry about it.
Hope everyone is well,

Yes, I am very sorry, it was entirely unintentional. I am blowed if I know how I did it. I did tell them I had hit the wrong button, but of course there will be nobody there over the weekend.

Huia sitting in the dunce's corner.

I thought it must be April 1st when I logged on to this thread and saw the start in 2008 this thread is being looked at someone has RR it? please tell me it is me and that this has not really happened.?

Stephen did you put out a request for help on Find Ancestors I was given the marriage details of my Great Uncle Walter but kind researchers on there. we all thought it was a roumour.
I must admit I can find no trace of his wife coming to Britian in 1909 when they married. One of my family contacts found photos of my Great Grandparents and their viliage as it was in the early 1800 also Great Uncle Walter and his bride. which had no writing on. so I took it from there and found they had married in Turkey. so dont give up keep trying.

My sister spent the day at Kew yesterday trying to find how we could get their marriage certificate after two hours trying she came away with nothing. then the GRO would not accept the password she was given. so she has written to them . so everything is not running smoothly.

anyway have a nice day and all my friends on friendly.

Morning All !

Back to the usual weather......dark, damp and miserable :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

Huia, Here's hoping they don't delete the first Posting or the whole thread will probably vanish !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) It's so easy to hit the wrong thing and hey presto the foul deed is done.

Not a lot planned for today but no doubt when Lady Stephen appears things will change rapidly :-P :-P :-P :-P

Marilyn,
Cholesterol 4.1 .......Is that some kind of Earthquake measurement ? :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S

Rita,
That's great getting a photo of your Great Grandparents and the information about their marriage. I'm having problems finding information on a branch of my tree and try as I might I can't get what I need. I've been searching for over two years for this particular information but no luck so far. I'll find the key one day I'm sure.

Have a good day ya all !

Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
